The hotel was excellent in all aspects. The outlook of the hotel was modern. Staff were highly friendly and helpful. It was highly appreciated that the staff took good care of the fruits when we asked for luggage storage. They helped us to put into the fridge to keep them fresh. Onsen opened from 3pm-10am was enjoyable. Free ramen with good taste was served from 930pm-11pm every night. Although it is far away from JR Miyazaki station, it was easy to reach by bus. Bus schedule was frequent. The hotel was located in the heart of Miyazaki surrounded with many restaurants and department stores. Highly recommended.

This hotel was definitely great value for money. The room was larger with a bigger than average bathroom than most typical japanese hotels for similar value. Facilities are all new. I stayed in a 12th floor, true non-smoking room. The facilities and bed were all comfortable to sleep on. As Miyazaki is country side, it is expected that it may be a little difficult to get around. Having the hotel attached to the train, bus and taxi rank made it much easier to travel if you do not wish to walk. There are also heaps of places nearby for food and gifts. Staff are extremely friendly and are able to confidently speak in English. I will use this Hotel again when I visit Miyazaki in future.

I’d been on the road round Japan for a 2.5 weeks before I arrived here, and it was the perfect spot to relax. The hotel is really comfortable and we were upgraded to a top floor deluxe room. There’s a nice stretch of beach in front of the hotel and our view was great, during both rain and shine (it was October) The staff were very helpful and opened the gym for me three times even though it was supposedly closed for the season (no idea why). The communal baths were very nice although there wasn’t an outdoor tub. The breakfast was a festival of slimy Japanese food horror, and not worth the money (you could get cooked egg and bread admittedly). Far better for food, dinner in this case, was the Chinese restaurant on the ground floor. The snack stands on the beach were better for lunch, along with Bon Delice and the burger and Mexican trucks nearby. A beach holiday is never going to feel totally right for me in Japan, owing to the expense and the lack of the chilled vibe you get in Thailand or India, but my stay in Miyazaki nevertheless hit the spot.

we had an excellent time in miyazaki staying at hotel areaone. the front desk was very helpful in giving directions and maps for locations in miyazaki. in particular, one front desk manager, aya taniguchi was extremely helpful, spoke good english and as a local miyazaki resident knew how to find anything/anyplace in town. she went out of her way to help my wife and i. we highly recommend the hotel and breakfast (it's worth it).

I stayed here after staying two nights in Miyazaki for one night. This hotel is very closely located near Aoshima shrine (jinja) and it only takes few minutes to walk on the beach. Bus station isn't so far away, only about 5min walk, so we went to Sun Messe Nichinan and also Obi during our stay here. I stayed in the sea side view room, which was amazing to look at but you can't see anything out in the dark. There aren't many stores around here and shops close pretty early, except some restaurants and izakaya. Staffs were very nice, they followed us to the room when we checked in to greet us and show how the Japanese traditional ryokan style hotel works. The building is bit old, to be honest and the spa isn't very high end but it was alright. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here. I definitely recommend !

The Green Rich Hotel in Miyazaki is in place which is reasonably isolated from convenient transport and activities. The hotel itself is a refurbished apartment which was a shock initially due to it's half finished look. The Japanese apartment facade is clearly visible from outside the building especially within the hall way where you go to your room. The hall way constructed with metal and concrete to give it an ominous feel part way between industrial design and a prison. Opening the door to your hotel room, however feels like a normal 2-3 star hotel. The room was extremely spacious and toilet and shower facilities normal for a hotel of this rating. Not somewhere I'd stay in again, but I made a last minute decision to visit Miyazaki and this was the only affordable option that came up. Definitely not the worse, but not ideal if you're looking for a place to stay with more convenience and luxury.

The host Yoshi, lives downstairs and is super receptive and hospitable to your needs. Will drive you to the convenience store, local train station or Miyazaki airport at a moments notice. The design is Japanese minimalism, but it feels like a luxurious Australian beach house. An incredibly cosy and homely space, with a great balcony view of the nishinan coastline. Super clean, free towels and kitchen access. Taken the JR nishinan line bound for Nango and get off at Kouchiumi. The train ride from Miyazaki station is about 40 mins. The little garden is a 20 minute walk from Kouchiumi. Trains run less frequently, on a hourly timetable. If you plan to visit places like Takachiho, leave early in the morning as most places are 3 hours away. Try contact Yoshi if you would prefer a lift over walking from the station.

The hotel is packed with daily bathers. Room is clean and a good size with comfy beds. There is a good size onsen(good quality water)and a library with cartoon books; a tennis court is also seen with family playing tennis in the morning. Staff are all courteous and helpful. I broke my glasses and the staff lend me glue and tissue without any hassle. Parking is paid, reasonable, and pretty full on the hotel level with additional parking close by. There are restaurants close by within walking distances.

I booked this hostel for two nights and thought it is just a stopover during my cycletrip around Japan. Well, these two nights turned out to be 33 nights! The owner Toshi and Fu are amazing and I felt very well at this place! Pacific Ocean, beach and surfing! Went swimming every morning. Just a few minutes to the nice beach. I experienced Aoshima as a very peaceful relaxed place. Just what I was lookIng for.

Lodge like a Samurai (bith with WiFi, bath and modern toilet) Paper walls an drafty, but stylish Japanese-Style (tatami) rooms, cleanliness excellent (but that depends on the other lodgers, of course) . Not recommended in deep winter (unless you like to sleep cold), but if you are surfing or just looking for budget accomodation, this is an excellent place to stay. There's also a kitchen with equipment.

Very beautiful and decent hotels, definitely worth for 5 stars. The hotel is near to the sea with excellent sea view, but a bit far from city which require 15 minutes drive to city centre. The parking is free of charge. The room is very spacious and new. The hot spring is not included which mean that you have to pay individually. Breakfast is very nice and highly recommended.

When booking the hotel, I didn't realize that there was a festival scheduled for the days I would be staying, so my options were pretty slim. Miyazaki Daiichi ended up being the cheapest option - and it was cheaper for a group of four of us to stay in individual rooms vs. group lodging. The hotel does have parking and is very close to the local train station. The staff were very professional and friendly, and were quick to show us a yummy izakaya down the street that served chicken namban, famous in Kyushu. However, the hotel itself was an absolute dump. The provided photos are very misleading, as the hotel is very dated and rather dirty; I found dirt and dust everywhere in my room - the carpets were especially funky - as well as structural damage throughout the hotel. The onsen and rotenburo located on the second floor are very dated (most of the showers were out of order) and the scheduled time slot for women to use the facilities was only two hours. There are two washers and dryers on the top-most floor, but the dryer is just a yen-sucker. Overall, my friends and I were very disappointed in this hotel; for a week-long trip throughout Kyushu Miyazaki Daiichi was one of our most expensive lodgings, but we stayed in much nicer hostels for a third of the price of this hotel. Miyazaki Daiichi wasn't worth the amount we paid for our rooms and I would only stay again if I had absolutely no other options.

Hotel is good, tidy and the room is big enough to stay with three people. The food is good too. However, If they can respond faster in replying email would be much better. As I asked whether there is parking space provided in hotel two days before my arrival, there is no any response ever. Luckily there is car park nearby. I wonder if it is a problem to tell there is no free parking in your hotel by replying an email.
