Best hotels & accommodations in Niseko

According to our kids: "One of the best vacations". Niseko is around 3 hours bus ride from Chitose Airport, but it's worth the travel. I personally like the area which is away from the usual crowded city life. In Niseko, we connected with nature and I can't get enough of the beauty of Mt. Yotei, its cap is still covered with snow. She is so beautiful. It's off ski ...

Rooms: We stayed in Rusutsu Tower. Excellent, plenty of space for four sharing. Food: Kazahana: Excellent. Great food, great staff and great fun - we dined there three times so they prepared a 'customised' dinner on the last occasion. Breakfast dull and unexciting. Skiing: Resort size is modest. Some good 'motorway' runs, some excellent runs 'through the trees'. Small...

A very nice cosy hotel in niseko with free shuttle bus to and from Kutchan Station. A little distance from Annapuri and Hirafu Ski Resort but with walking distance to Moiwa Ski Resort. Room is spacious and clean. Booked room with dinner and I get 2 nights of delicious course meal dinner. Superb.

To provide some context, I have stayed in dozens of hotels throughout the United States and internationally, and have spent over 300 nights in hotels, and this will be my first hotel review. We were so satisfied with Chalet Ivy, that I’d be remiss if I didn’t share this with the rest of the online community. Hotel Staff My buddy and I were traveling to Niseko to ski, a...

Ski in and ski out. Huge pool and hot tub area. Saunas. Massage parlor. You have access to your own ski locker and the mountain offers night skiing. You name it this place has it. Located in Hirafu where all the night life is. It is across street from Welcome Center where the buses drop you off. Great value. Highly recommended. Would definitely stay here again when ...

Niseko is an upscale area especially during Winter. to get a clean and comfortable hotel, be prepared to pay some $$$ good money. However, Always Niseko has competitive pricing with excellent service. the front desk staffs are also there to help in our endless questions. the shuttle bus services are super efficient and on time (So on time that they will arrive earli...

I went to Niseko for ski and 'onsen' (hot spring) experience. The hotel is not a preferable destination for skiers as it is not next to the ski lifts (about 20mins by shuttle). However, I wouldn't change for any other hotel. Everything there was superb. The daily rates were about US$550 for a double room but included multi course Japanese breakfast and dinner, and fu...

The hotel is less than 5 minutes drive from niseko annapuri. There is free shuttle service but we rented a car so did not use the service. Ski centre in the hotel is convenient and there is free ski lockers for hotel guests to use. The hot spring in the hotel is very good. We enjoyed relaxing in the onsen after skiing. The breakfast is very good too. From 7:30 pm t...

This is the highlight of my trip to Japan. Niseko in a whole is awesome in winter. The snow is so soft and the weather is not gloomy at all. All the staff we met at Freedom Inn are EXTREMELY friendly and attentive. They recommended good eating places and there are shuttle services to everywhere and anywhere you want to go. We usually discuss with the staff on the sched...

Very, very impressive!!! Everything you need and want is right here at this hotel. They have a locker room for all your snow gear. Once you're all geared up, you walk out the back of the hotel and ski right on down into your choice of either ski lifts at Annupuri. From then on, the mountain is yours :) You can access the neighboring Niseko Village and/or Hirafu by goin...

Had a decent stay. Bed was big, the place was clean and staff was friendly. Breakfast was good as well. The only thing to note is that it's abit far from the Niseko town (20mins walk), and public bus there is not really efficient (infrequent, no timetable etc). They provide their own shuttle van to Grand Hirafu ski resort during the day, but the last van back to the ...

I reserched and checked with my friends which Niseko ski resorts are best for family with small kids. AYA was one of the mentioned. Since AYA has everything we needed, i.e. good location, nice view, ski access+equipment rent, ski lesson for kids, and private onsen, we chose AYA. I booked a 3-night stay for my wife, her brother, my son and myself during mid of Feb 20...

We been around the cities of Japan before we got to Niseko and stayed here. We chose the Japanese Style Room with in-room onsen. The room was huge and we are fairly acquainted with Japanese futon beds(basically a mattress on the floor). We had unparalleled sleep. The toilet is a little small and is separated from the shower room. The shower room is connected to the in-...

For those of who might concern anything about Niseko (sking, snowboarding, aftersking, nightlife, pickup service etc), just go to Bliss Lodge! I will tell you why you have to choose Bliss Lodge. Close to everything!! It is really close to the resort. Might take 3min by car to the Gondola center, and 4min to welcome center. May take 20min~30min to get their by walk. By...

My group of four senior guy were very pleased with our stay. Breakfast was included and very good, all you could. Evening meals were great also and very inexpensive. Skiing at Moiwa is good and not crowded, but limited terrain. With a rental car it is a short drive to Niseko United Ski Areas where you have so many terrain options. Hirafu village is close and has many...

Room - Western style apartment with Yotei view. Great room, it was spacious and well designed. We had a separate bedroom and common space, where the latter one of our friends stayed in (the couch was made into a bed). Staff - The staff was one of the best aspect of our stay. They were very friendly and helpful, especially Nao. Housekeeping - The housekeeping is proba...

Recently stayed 9 nights at Alpen Ridge - our first ski trip in Japan, was an amazing time & we're already planning a return trip next season. Overall it was an excellent experience from the first point of contact with Nico at Ski Japan via email to make all the necessary travel, ski rental and room booking arrangements. On arrival, check-in w Miki was friendly, quic...

Rock hard beds. You can get a better quality bed at a youth hostel in Japan that you get in this place. Besides the furniture, the place is actually quite nice. However, we did have a lot of bugs in the room when we 1st moved in but after we killed off a number of them that seem to solve the problem. The staff were apologetic but...... The other sometimes frustrati...

Party of 4 with children age 10 and 12. The mountain view room was just nice for us. During dinner time staff would arrange the 2 extra bed (tatami style) for the kids. This is a full service hotel, staff would greet at the door and helped with suitcase to the room. Our stay was half board with breakfast and dinner included for the 2 nights. Breakfast was good, standar...

It was really an amazing travel. I only have two days to book flight and hotel when I got my total one week vacation. There is no any information and I never been Niseko, so I just find this hotel close to Annupuri ski area. Hotel extremely new and clean, they wait me when I arrive very late 10PM and help me everything. Free drinks, coffee, good room air condition, of ...

Absolute Is well located. Nearby the grand Hirafu and you can take shuttle bus to a couple of other ski resorts if you want to. There’s also a couple of groceries store around. The stuff is friendly, helpful and informative about everything I needed to know. The hot springs bath is 2 min up the hill . I stayed in a shared room and accommodation was comfortable. They ...

Great place in middle hirafu, near to the slopes, rhythm rental, awesome food places. Everything within walking distance and also next to shuttle bus stop. Great place and service by the team too! They picked us from the Welcome Center, helped to arrange our transport from Chitose airport to Niseko Welcome Center. And also recommended and helped to book restaurants as ...

The chalet itself is complete except there is no kitchen knife. Some board games could be included. They could upgrade their tvs to smart tvs with internet access as all channels are in Japanese. There is nothing to do in the area other than to go somewhere to ski. Restaurants are few and they may not be opened on particular days without reason - best that you call the...

I had a lovely first time in Niseko, thanks to Milky House. The place was cozy, clean and beautifully maintained — a home away from home. The location is fantastic, a mere 3min walk to the Annupuri Ski Area. No commercial establishments nearby like Hirafu, so it’s very quiet. My room was spacious - twin room, good enough for three people - had TV, fridge, lots of...

Very new and cozy apartment with very nice room . Location is good close to shops in the middle of Niseko Village. Around 10 min walk to family ace lift . Managed under skijapan And staff are nice. Pick up could be arranged from the bus station and welcome center
Cheapest hotels in Niseko

First of all for 2 dollars usd difference get the breakfast! Great mix of continental and Japanese options, it cost patrons 700yen if you didn't book the breakfast online. The first bus to Hirafu at least as of winter 18/19 ran at 7:50am and came back last from Hirafu at 10:30pm costing 340yen to the intersection and 390 yen to the lifts. Location wise I enjoyed it...

Unless you're driving a car, I do not recommend staying at Hirafu in summer as there is no transport available (besides really expensive taxi and the very infrequent public bus) to-fro Niseko/Kutchan. The restaurants nearby are mostly closed too in summer, so there isn't much to do around here. Apparently, in Niseko there are cheaper taxi service operating, so perhaps ...

This is my first time Travelling solo and staying in a capsule hotel. The lodge exceeded my expectations. Bed was comfy and private. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Resturant serves very delicious dinner. Just a few steps away are the slopes for ski. It was the best experience I've had and I would recommend beginner skiers to start from there! Great Lodge!

I'm an American college student currently spending a semester abroad in Japan. I had a week off of school, so I headed up to Niseko, and this hotel was exactly what I was looking for. Cheap, nothing super fancy, but still with everything I needed. The Hotel manager Yoshi is one of the nicest people I've met on my travels. He will take you to the mountain base, ab...

If you're planning to stay around the Niseko area, THIS IS IT, I, with all my credit, believe me please, guarantee. And I would simply have to say that my stay at the hostel couldn't have been any better. I'd say this in several terms. 1. Clean. Not dirty at all, perhaps neater than most households. 2. Friendliness of the staff. While I for the moment do ...

The host was super friendly and super helpful. Niseko is a small town and I kept running into people who know him, even on the chairlift! The accomodation is rustic and simple, has everything you need as a ski-vacationer (including a restaurant), they shuttle you to the slopes, and it's quiet and lovely.

Had a decent stay. Bed was big, the place was clean and staff was friendly. Breakfast was good as well. The only thing to note is that it's abit far from the Niseko town (20mins walk), and public bus there is not really efficient (infrequent, no timetable etc). Walking distance to Annupuri and to the Niseko shuttle, the Annupuri Oasis Lodge was both great value for money but more importantly a welcoming and comfortable place to be based for a week of snowboarding Niseko United and Moiwa. Alan and Janine could not have been better hosts/lodge managers - with tons of local knowledge and recommendations, and just great conversat...

We absolutely loved our stay here. The location is so close to all the restaurants & bars, and easy to get to the mountain either via walking or shuttle. The place is clean with large enough rooms to store luggage but the best part was the communal dining/relaxing area where you could unwind with a drink at the end of the day. The highlight was the amazing staff - they...

Our stay at the pension Alice was very nice, the hosts are really friendly and helpful in every way. The rooms are fairly big compared to other places I've stayed in japan before. And having free high speed internet always helps. There food was superb too. The hotel wasn't in the main area of the village but they run their own shuttle service to and from the main vill...

This hotel location is quite good. Very close to Hirafu welcome center. Lot of restaurant and ski rental shops nearby. The ski area is just 3 mins walk from hotel (if u take a shortcut. The staff will guide u). Breakfast was good. Staff is so helpful. +1 star for them. They picked me up from welcome center. They even helped me booking the taxi.

The location of Bistane Kana is very good, a few minutes away from Niseko Annapuri, there are several options around to dine and experience onsens. The owners are nice and helpful, they helped us to deal with ski rental and book the ski passes at discount price. They provides us with a lot of advices on the area and activities. The food is very good. This accommodation...

Myself and my girlfriend had a great time staying at Tabi no Kousaten. We stayed in a japanese style room which would have had enough room for 4 people easy! Good heating, loads of storage space. Very clean guesthouse, breakfast with Tea & Coffee every morning with transfers to resort lifts after. The couple running the guesthouse could not be more helpful and friendly...

Location is good, on top of a hill which gives a stunning view over the ocean and town. Need a car to get around though, although the hotel helped us to book a taxi for a night out. Onsen is excellent and free private onsen use is really great, it was our first time to use a private one and it even had an indoor and outdoor bath in it. Huge selling point for me. Many f...

We were so happy that we found this hotel in niseko! We wanted an outdoor mixed onsen experience and this hotel gave us the best experience ever! The onsen is big, theres male and female's indoor onsen and there's this mixed onsen where we can share a bath together! And you won't have to be totally naked! The dinner buffet is amazing! We had great time in niseko grand ...

The hosts are a wonderful retired couple who speak sufficient English. They were very friendly and hospitable, and very willing to drive us where we needed. Besides sending us to Grand Hirafu and Annapuri ski resorts in the morning, they also drove us to a onsen spa nearby every night, for which we got free tickets to as there is no shower in the cabin. The cabin is sp...

Hotel Kanronomori is located near Annupuri ski resort. Hotel has shuttle to Niseko most ski resort, and Hirafu village for convenient dinning. Highly recommend also because the reasonable price with very spacious room, 40 square meter, can you believe it!? Lastly, i would like to express my appreciation to the front desk concierge Mr. Koji 高橋先生, a really nice guy help...

Many new fancy hotels opened in recent two years, but Niseko Northern Resort Annupuri is still the best in my mind. Super easy access to the slope and lifts, real ski-in ski-out :-) Nice staffs, friendly, resourceful :-) Nice food, I really like the buffet, especially the beef rice bowl (牛丼) for the breakfast :-) For the past 5 seasons, I stayed here in a row, wish to c...

My 2 days stay at Konkuriito, Yuki Uchi was fantastic. However the heater was not working very well when we were there and it was snowing during that time hence it was pretty cold in the room. Other than that, everything was good. They have everything we need and the house was big and clean.

Very lovely weather in niseko good slopes to ski youtei tracks is a ten minute walk to the slopes also in the main town so walking distance from cafés restaurants the deli and late night dining . Apartment is very comfortable with all that you need washer dryer toaster coffe maker .. Also had a great English movie channel on television Incase you spend the evening in...

The staff waited us at the Kutchan train station on time. upon arrival at registration, the staff send us to discounted ski gears nearby shop for rental at a reasonable rates. Powder Tracks is a good base from which one can get to all the other ski lifts/fields around the Hirafu/Hiseko ski region. The rooms are unfortunately small and with 6 adults, we could just made do with the 2 bath rooms. The beds needs some refreshing as they are quite used. The kitchen was however well stock with the right mix of utencils. Finding a car park around th...

Great! Although there was a leak in the bathroom sink, all other amenities set-up were excellent. It takes some time to get from point A to point B, but everything can be conveniently arranged in Niseko. My husband and I would definitely like to come back to Hangetsu the next time we have a longer stay in Niseko.

We liked this property very much and we regret not to have booked it for a longer time. The property is close to central Hirafu with great views of the hills and mountains , and plenty supermarkets, bars and restaurants to choose from. The great thing about the property is you can cook , wash yourself, includes all home appliances you would need. Great place!

Pros- friendly service, super soft bed and pillow, stylish rooms. We came during off peak time in sep and we had the whole communal area to ourselves which was really nice Cons- if you come during off- peak times their famous breakfast place is not open, but the substitute restaurant Musu is not bad too

My wife and I had a very nice experience at Ki Niseko. There was a shuttle bus to fetch us and bring us to the airport. Also, the shuttle bus services around the area if you want to use the other Gondola lifts. They also helped us arranged a ski instructor to teach us how to ski. The hotel also had Onsen, and we had a very nice experience! We'll definitely book at thi...

Our family of 3 spent 6 days at The Soga Forest Hideaway over the past Easter break, and we could not have asked for a better accommodation choice. The chalet fit our needs perfectly. It was neat and tidy, and had all the amenities you would ever need. The location was extremely quiet and tranquil, yet only a short distance away from the ski slopes, restaurants and sho...
5-star hotels in Niseko

We got upgraded to a deluxe unit because the hotel was at full occupancy. The room was clean, spacious, well-designed, and had a great view of the mountains. The hotel surroundings were peaceful and quiet, which made it a nice getaway. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was linked to the Rusutsu Resort by monorail, and there were many facilities in the vicinit...
Just booked
Traveler impressions of Niseko
Nice, relax, scenic and friendly people especially for foreigner because there are many Australian skier and working staffs here
Rental a private car & use the GPS go to Harifu & town, Nightlife is very good. Good language skill at resturant, so dont worry about eating(but not cheap).
It is just near by the ski area, very convenience to go to the ski, you could just wear all the cloth need for ski then walk 2 minutes to the life area, buy the pass , take the cable then ski, you could also go to different ski track from each of the nearby hotel, that is very fun, we expect to play the easy one but finally, we ski down by the expert track,
a wonderful ski town, plenty of non japanese food restaurants. Outdoor Onsen is to be enjoyed during ski season.
it's a great place for outdoor activities. it's also good for families with children to stay for a very relaxing summer vacation for at least 1-2 weeks.
Travel by buses very easy but maybe online reservation could be advised. Not to be stuck at the airport waiting for the next one.
Niseko snows a lot, and it takes a 20 min shuttle bus between different ski towns to the main city - Grand HIrafu, where most of the dining options/nightlife is at, So the best bet is to rent a serviced apartment to avoid those travelling.
Beside Ski, nothing can do during winter time travelling. Restaurants around ski area are expansive and need advance reservation!!
Niseko is very geared to supporting and providing s great ski experience. Most facilities are easily accessable and the Japanese staff manning the sites are very helpful.
Niseko is not only wonderful in the winter time due to the amazing skiing, but stunningly beautiful in summer.
