Find Hotels in Noboribetsu, Japan

Booked this lovely hotel as our base to do day trip to Noboribetsu & another day trip to Lake Toya! Perfect accommodation in this quiet little town, much cheaper compare to Noboribetsu & Lake Toya hotels, can travel from Higashi-Muroran station take local train to Noboribetsu or Lake Toya (have to check the timetable at the station as they don't operate as frequent as the express train) there's hourly train during winter so it is very economical and convenient, nice Onsen in the hotel! Staff are very friendly!

I was looking at ryokan on japonica website but they don’t allow me to book in advance. You must understand that for ryokan , it is very difficult to book because they have limited rooms. I do not wish to wait until the opening window is open then I fight with others to book. Their email response was good because I have a few questions to ask about the transportation and my lodgings as I have booked a half-board option (dinner + breakfast), I wanted to make sure that my dinner was of certain quality otherwise I will either upgrade or change my dinner plans. But I was reassured that my dinner is of their Pan B menu which you can find on their website. So I was happy about it. I was travelling from Niseko so I took the JR from JR Kutchan and change at JR Oshamambe then towards JR Noboribetsu. It cost me 4370yen and there are limited timing so if you intend to take the same route. Pls check and check again. Upon arrival, once you have exited JR Noboribetsu, you can see public bus stop buses going towards Noboribetsu Onsen and taxi are also available.. I took the public bus heading towards Noboribetsu Onsen for 340yen/pax. You will have to get down at the JCHO stop which means the hospital stop. This stop is before the onsen so pls ask the driver or check your google map. Once you have alighted, it is a short walk to Kashotei HANAYA. Our room was 303 and being a ryokan, it means living room + dining room + bedroom are combined into one room. The gentleman will come into your room to setup the tatami bed. The ladies will come into your room to setup the dinner and breakfast. For the most time, we just left our main door unlocked. Once you arrived, you will get to choose your preferred timing for dinner and breakfast. We chose 530pm for dinner and 830am for breakfast. The hotel is located about 5 minutes walk away from the footbath entrance, which is very convenient. We managed to cover most of the Noboribetsu attractions in less than one day by walking. The hot bath and onsen in the hotel is also great; very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff also lays out the beds for us around dinner time. The Japanese-style room has a small bath (which is typical for Japanese hotels) but the room is large and has all the modern conveniences - I only wish they also put the hairdryers in the rooms instead of just in the hot bath. Dinner was great, with crabs, unlimited sushi/sashimi, teppanyaki steak and a variety of Japanese and other dishes, well worth the money. The hotel also provides a free shuttle bus to and from the airport as well as from Sapporo JR Station, which is really good, because the Noboribetsu JR station is not within walking distance from the hotel and a bus ride would have cost 330 yen one way, and taxi even more expensive. On the negative side, I think the hotel should train the staff to speak more English - I can't speak Japanese and they hung up on me when I called them to try to book the shuttle bus. Fortunately, I found the shuttle bus contact person from their website (which is Kanko bus); they spoke better English and I managed to make the booking.

This is the second ocassion that we stay at the Noboribetsu Hotel. Obviously we came back because of the wonderful experience we had during our first visit. We are not disappointed at all this time, the excellent service started even before we arrive. We took the complimentary bus ride from Sapporo Station. We were warmly greeted by the staff at the Sapporo JR Station and was allocated with the best front seats in the coach. When we arrived, the concerige was alreay waiting for us. The check in was smooth and this time, our suite was even larger and more luxurious. We immediately sank ourselves in the total harmonious and peaceful atmosphere. The dinner and breakfast were most excellently prepared and professionally served. Though we have a private spa in our room, we also tried out the outdoor spa at the basement of the Hotel and it is a most pleasing experience to soak oneself in such delightful backdrop of Japanese Garden setting under the chill and snow. If there is anything to be improved it would be the serving staff at the restaurant. Though the young men did provide us with wonderful service, he did have some challenges with communicating with us, (whereas the lady who served us during our first stay understood us perfectly). Staying at the Noboribetsu Hotel is a most memorable experience that I would highly recommend to my friends.

This hotel is located diagonally from the bus terminal, a block from the shopping, and three from the famed Hell Valley. The hotel looks like it was once a five star hotel, and although it is more like a four star now, the staff takes care of you with utmost care. The onsen were the best I have been in in Japan and I can recommend the outdoor baths enough. There are three mineral baths available, sulphur, iron, and salt. The baths could not be more picturesque. This is what the quintessential Japanese onsen experience is. If you are going to Noboribetsu, give this hotel a try. You won't regret it.

This is one of the best hotel in Noboribetsu and I have stays here many times. However, our arrival was delayed 4 hours because of closure of 1 runway in Narita and my Vanilla flight arrived 4hrs late. Hence my check in was late and our kaiseki dinner was not served as the kitchen was closed. The hotel refused to refund the money paid for the dinner but instead gave us a bento set from the Japanese restaurant in the basement. When I booked the hotel, we were 5 and the Agoda website was not very user friendly and I had to book twice for my family of 5, once for a room for 3 men and another for a room for 2 ladies. Though breakfast and dinner were included in both rooms, Kaiseki breakfast and dinner for 3 and buffet breakfast and dinner for the 2 ladies. We could not split for the meals so I had to pay extra for the 2 ladies to upgrade them to Kaiseki dinners and we had to forgo our Japanese breakfast for buffet breakfast. Very disgusting what AGODA has done, not specific about meals.

Family of 8 ppl (4 elderly). I myself is a fan of onsen and have tried many places around the whole Japan, this is definitely one of the best. I brought my family here, some of them was the first-timer. Since the place is so big, it made them feel comfortable trying it and all of them loved it! Big indoor onsen, super big outdoor onsen. Great dinner and breakfast. This place was not too crowded, yet not too quiet. Best for families!

The staff at reception can speak very good English so communication in English is not a problem. All of them are very polite and we feel extremely welcome staying in this hotel. They serve traditional Japanese breakfast and dinner. Very yummy. We will definitely recommend this hotel if you are in Noboribetsu. The location is great too, very near to attractions and souvenir shops

I called the hotel from the station to ask how to get there, and instead of direction they sent a car to pick me in 5 minutes. They upgraded me for free to a room with stunning view overlooking vast green hilly field and the sea. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with adequate amenities, and both chilled and hot water for our need. Staff were friendly, helpful and pleasant. The food was generous, elaborate and delicious--slightly pricey but well worth if you wish to experience Hokkaido-style Kaiseki--authentic Japanese fine dining. Make sure to book beforehand, though. And even if it's the most expensive item in the menu, I'd still recomend their Shiraoi beef course. The highlight of my stay was the stunning outdoor bath, overlooking the wilderness. Literally one of the most pleasant outdoor bathing experience I've ever felt, although--since the hotel's bath is open for day trips--at certain times we have to share it with a lot of people. Despite the fact that Hotel Izume is only 5 minutes away by car, it is not strategic for a base to explore Noboribetsu area since it's literally in the middle of nowhere and unreachable by bus/train. But I had no problem, since I finished my excursion before I came, and continued the day after.

Pros - Everything was perfect from the time we arrive, Service was the best all the time we stay, Room is big with separate bedroom and living room, Half board with Dinner and Breakfast was also perfect in Japanese style, We had such a great time in Noboribetsu, Price is not expensive compare to what you get Anyway, Hotel is old but well-maintained... Fully recommend this hotel if you look for a good and quiet hotel in Noboribetsu... Other big hotels will have a big group of tourist...

Location is in the middle of Kojohama Station (approximately 1.1 km) and Noboribetsu Station. We get there by Taxi and the fare is around 1.200 yen from Noboribetsu station. Local train from Noboribetsu to Kojohama is every one hour (you can check the schedule in Hyperdia). For the shuttle bus to the Noboribetsu Station, it started at 9.15 and need a booking. Onsen is good, relaxing hot water and there is a entertainment room near the onsen. There is a vending machine and kids playing room. And there is also connecting aisle to the Seven Eleven mart. Staff is also very nice and helpful.

Convenient location: 15 mins bus ride from Noboribetsu JR station to Noboribetsu bus terminal. 5-10 walking distance from Noboribetsu bus terminal to the Hotel Hanayura. Hotel staff are very polite and helpful. There is even a convenient store inside the Hotel. Rooms are spacious and some with private Onsen. Foods are delicious in the Hotel and outside in the Noboribetsu Onsen main street (must try the mandarin flavour honey ice-cream in Sugi Yohoen - a honey shop in the main street). The only bad luck was the heavy rain by the time when we arrived at the Noboribetsu JR station all the way to Noboribetsu bus terminal and Hotel Hanayura. But you can borrow umbrella for free (a highlight) everywhere within the Onsen area (from bus terminal, hotels and stores/shops). Will definitely stay in Hotel Hanayura again next time for Noboribetsu Hot Spring trip.

The hotel is within a 5-7 minutes straight walk from Higashi-Muroran Station. This town is virtually "semi dead" near the hotel. Dinner shops? There are 2 Ramen and rice near the hotel and a supermarket. On the other side of train station there's AEON. I take train to Toya Sta for Lake Toya and Usuzan Ropeway. Train to Noboribetsu for Hell's Valley. If you are using Google maps to find your way, DONT BE FOOLED by the map asking you to walk a big round.

This is a 5 star hotel and resort. The best features in this resort are: 1. Large hot spring (Onsen) pools and bath. It has several round pools of hot water; one pool is very cold water (20deg or less). 2. If you like hot spring this is the place. The hotel is also on the Lake Toya with fantastic view of the lake and volcano mountain. 3. There are several hot spring pools for foot socking and relaxing. 4. There is a nice path walk on the lake. 5. The resort is equipped with many facilities for children including swimming pools, water slides, and other entertainments. Check in and check out are fast and efficient. The staff are very very polite and respect guests and have the smile (it is a common Japanese politeness that I felt everywhere in Japan). The rooms are 5 star level rooms which was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast and dinner are both a buffet style with large variety five-star standard. There are many activities for the children in the swimming pool and the lobby. It is a family and honeymoon hotel. I recommend this hotel and sure I will be back when visited Japan again.

Located just directly opposite the noboribetsu onsen bus station. The hotel is also located on the shopping street & very near to the bear park(15mins walking). The rooms are a bit dated & the bathroom is extremely small. The dinner provided was delicious & delicate. Food was fresh & taste good. A big highlight of my stay. Onsen is good but the outdoor onsen is very small. The massage service was great & at a reasonable rate. Great hotel to relax.

Great place to access the great hot springs all over the town of Noboribetsu. You can see the place from the Noboribetsu (JR) station - it's a 2 minute walk. The Guest House owner is super chill and gave great recommendations. From the Noboribetsu station you can easily catch a bus (to and from) all day to the area where all the hot springs/fancy hotels are. The hotels let you use their hot springs (Onsen) for a very reasonable fee. If you like hot springs, Noboribetsu Guest House is a MUCH more economical way to access this awesome resource.

Travelled with a family of 7 (two senior citizens and a 1 year old baby). We decided on this place as we rented a car and needed a place to stay for the night between Chitose Airport and Noboribetsu (our intended next destination). Place is clean and amenities provided are quite complete. There's an onsen (hot spring bath) in the bathroom which was nice however, we couldn't get the hot water shower to work which was tad frustrating. We ended up showering with the onsen water at the end. We didn't meet the host but was given clear instructions on where to park, how to check in and also recommended food options. Think its a good stay for those traveling from the airport to Noboribetsu direction however, for the lack of hot shower, I wouldn't stay more than a night.

We love three things about takimoto inn. 1. The location - walking distance to the hell's valley, geyser and the shopping & restaurants street. Very convenient. 2. Access to free onsen facilities at their sister hotel opposite. Simply the best onsen we have been to. 3. The hotel staff especially Kenny who helped us retrieved the lost money we left in our yukata after 3 days! They took the trouble to find it, send it back to us in Sapporo and also recommended us good places to eat in Otaru. Exceptional service and integrity! We will recommend this hotel to anyone who is heading to Noboribetsu.
