"The hotel is very new, only opened in late November 2019. Location wise, it is absolutely the best!!! It is connected to Osaka Station and from the overhead pedestrian walkway (easier to maneuver the huge station city) and the Osaka/Umeda Station, we could go to Lucua, Hankyu, Daimaru, Hanshin and Grand Front Osaka departmental stores! It is simply amazing. The hotel room is clean and nicely furnished. However, due to the layout, it is too cramped for four of us. I thought the room is 47m2 but we really found it hard to move around the room. There are 4 single beds in the room and only one table top right in front of the TV with a smaller lower adjacent table where the kettle and cups are placed. We couldn't find anywhere to place our three midsized luggages other than the small floor area between the wall and the beds. There is also no shelving or hooks in the bathroom, so we have to place them outside below the sink. It would be nice if the hotel could free up more space in room."

"I found Karaksa the best choice hotel for location that is near to Shin Osaka which has JR, Metro and Shinkansen and lots of restaurants. It took abt 5-8 min to walk to station. Staff are helpful and very nice. They delivered our luggage to the room already when we got back to the hotel at 9pm in the first night. The room has everything even more than we expected - a small sofa, a bath tub, pajamas (compared to what we heard about hotels in Japan). Beds are comfy two pillows (hard and soft). Shower was strong and we can put two (one big and one small) luggages in the room. Lawson downstair- u dont need to go out of the building and public bath which is very clean and not crowded. Room is also clean. The building is new and well designed. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Fyi that I had two beds standard room. "

"Had some issues locating this Hotel branch, as we only noticed there were 4 Via Inn branches around Shinsaibashi! (Make sure you get the correct location and branch you are booking for) Afterall we managed to get to the hotel with some help of the staff from the wrong branch we went + some guidance from google map :) Hotel location is quite convenient though, only 2 mins walk to Yotsubashi station (Osaka Metro Line), but it will take you more than 15mins walk to the Shinsaibashi main street. Hotel room is comfy and decent spacious for the price we paid. Very comfortable stay overall :)"

"When I get to the hotel in Osaka,it's very convinent for me to use every facility in this hotel ,only except of the washing machine.Too many people need to use that machine, directly makes this kind of service unavaliable.I suggest you put the washing and drying machine out of the spring room ,no matter men and women both can use it.It has two kinds of advance. Fist,it can makes more machines avaliable at the same time;second,it can makes everyone get the chance to wash or dry their clothes."

"The hotel is across the umeda airport limousine station so very convenient for airport drop-off and pick-up. It is adjacent to subway station for midosuji, hankyu and JR lines making means of transportation convenient. It is surrounded by shopping malls and restaurants. Staff at front desk are very courteous, can understand and speak English and helpful. Rooms are very clean and bigger than usual compared with other hotels in Osaka. They have repacking / weighing room in the lobby which is very useful and convenient after last minute shopping. The only downside in this hotel room is that you can hear the sound of trains leaving the umeda station. Sound is tolerable and not irritating though."

Room is spacious and comfortable. Clean bed sheet and towels are being changed every day, their do the housekeeping properly where you can't find any dirty dust in the room. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who plans to travel to Osaka. For sure, this is my favorite hotel in Osaka. Good Job Granvia Osaka! "

"The location is perfect, only 5 mins walk away from Shinsaibashi, which is very convenient for the travelers. And there are lots of convenient stores, restaurants and local bars nearby. The room looks very tidy and clean, which can totally match the pictures they post on the website. The facilities are functional and work very well. They have a small bathtube in the bathroom, which is really nice! It makes me feel so relaxed after a one day hustling. Cleaning service is good. (Japan is the most trusting country on it. )The receptionist can speak Japanese, Korean and English. There is only one thing needs your attention: there are only 3 sockets on the desk, which is far away from the bed. So if you wanna play with your phone before sleep, don’t forget to bring an extension cords. In conclusion, this is a cost effective hotel with great amenities and services. I will definitely choose the same one if next time I travel to Osaka."

More about Osaka

Having gotten its start in the 1500s when its grand castle was built, Japan's second-largest city is still a place where locals appreciate the value of fine foods and designer goods. While Osaka can't compete with Tokyo in terms of scale, it certainly has a reputation for refined living.

Most of the hotels in Osaka are in Umeda, near the bullet train station. These include major international names set in prominent entertainment districts. These hotels are convenient choices for business travelers as well as tourists.

On the surface, Osaka looks like any other big city, but it hides a mammoth shopping arcade underground. A couple of these are among the largest malls in Japan, and they're completely out of sight. Above-ground boutiques are also located in the Namba and Shinsaibashi districts. Osaka Castle, a Universal Studios theme park, and the enormous Osaka Aquarium are some of the city’s major attractions.

Osaka's international gateway is Kansai International Airport. The main terminal is a mile long and well equipped with dining and shopping facilities as well as a rail link to the city center.

Be sure to check out the interactive map of Osaka for information on hotel locations, attractions, and must-see destinations.
