Best hotels & accommodations in Phillip Island

Booked a 1-bedroom unit months before the trip and maybe that's why the rate paid for a 2-night stay was very very reasonable. With GPS, Silverwater Resort is easily located within San Remo and the supermarket/ petrol station etc are all within a 3min drive down the main road (towards/ near Phillip Island). The allocated unit (hillside) faces the sea and is a good...

We mainly used the Quest as a base while we were in Phillip Island. The two bedroom self contained unit we stayed in was very clean and neat. There were a couple if points that I would have liked to see that I have experienced in other Quest hotels in Victoria. It is winter and very cold however the unit only had reverse cycle air conditioning in the living room not th...

Cowes is a recommended place if you'll be staying in Phillip Island. There are enough establishments and eating places in the area. The room we got is big enough to fit four people. It even has a bathtub. Front desk lady is nice. However the staff at the bar was less than helpful. Please note the room does not include bottled water. You can buy though from a nearby ...

Book this hotel due to saw photos with cooking facilities. However, feel very disappointed as there is no kitchenware inside the FAMILY room even I would like to change/upgrade to a room with kitchenware as it was fully occupied during that day. Being told all room is with kitchenware except family room. For my perception family room should include cooking facilities c...

A very clean hotel and very short driving distance to San Remo or other tourist attraction places like Chocolate Factory, Koala Conservation Centre, etc in Phillip Island. The staff was friendly and so kind of him recommending us the places to visit with a complimentary map of Phillip Island. The reception counter is opened only from 9am - 5pm but if you wish to check ...

We booked 3-bedroom Oceanic Apartment @ Thompson but was upgraded to 3-bedroom Philip Island Apartments. The staff greeted us warmly at the reception and the check-in procedure was very smooth. The apartment was clean and cozy with all the neccesities provided. We made a right move by staying overnight at this beautiful island after viewing the penguins but if given an...

Location is convenient, just a few minutes drive to supermarket and pengiun parade. Owner is friendly even provide us with extra heater when we reached there, brief us about Phillip Island and places to visit. Parked just right in front of the room. Kitchen facilities are equipped. Pls do check if the microwave is working well. Thanks alot for the hospitality.

OMG! this is a designer’s house! stylish and delicated!! it is well equipped with kitchen ware so that we could enjoy cooking the local food freely! the host Eve was so generous to upgrade a one bedroom apartment to us❤️ She was also helpful to give us advice for the best places to visit in the phillip island. Judy brought us a very happy and memorable experience i...

Hotels in Phillip Island is not cheap and quays motel provide a comfort place with unbeatable price. If you are not insist to stay in the island, then Quays motel is a consideration option. Nearby hotel got some excellent restaurants, Mario's is one of them. The only comment is the house keeper forgot to put electric blanket on our double bed, we call to receiption cou...

We stay at Tropicana motor inn for our time spent in Phillip Island. The room is clean and very spacious. we love the tropical feel and the nice swimming pool. It is 2 min drive to cowes and 10 min drive to Penguin Parade. I would stay in Tropicana motor inn again if I travel to Phillip Island in the furture.

Nothing negative about this place thus 5 stars to everything.. Shops/banks/Cafes are nearby with a bottleshop (hotel/motel reception) and sports bar just outside. San Remo's Fishermans Co-op is a stones throw away and entry to Phillip Island is just infront of the motel. Nothing more that you can ask for 😋

Booked this place for a night stay but after arriving on Phillip island realised that we should have stayed 2 nights. The place was nice n quiet. Clean. Convenient parking n location. I recommend 2 nights on the island esp if u r travelling with a young one (ours is 15 month)

Lovely room in a lovely home of Jenni the great host. Will definitely come back if we are in Phillip Island again. Since it's a homely gorgeous "castle", there's no lift so we needed to carry the luggages up the stairs. That's understandable though. We will still recommend this place to our friends.

Stayed two nights at a 2 bedroom villa on 11-13 May. Accommodation is well maintained and is equipped with all the essentials. Its location is also near to all the Phillip Island attractions such as Koala Reserve, Churchill Island, Chocolate Factory (Pannys) and Penguin Parade. Groceries can be easily purchased from the nearby Cowes neighbourhood. Resort also has an in...

We had a really great time in Phillip island and Arthur Phillip Motor Inn was a great place to stay. It was clean, quiet and close to everything we needed. The staff were wonderful people sharing information about local attractions. The room had plenty of space and beds were very comfortable. I would recommend this Motor inn to any body for short stay. The price was al...

The stay was fantastic. We were after a nice, quiet place that is of good quality. We could not have expected any better. The hosts were great, the breakfast arrangement is brilliant because you can choose when to have breakfast. The facilities were exactly as we wished. Overall, it as a perfect fit for what we were looking for.

Stayed in cabin 5, 2 bedroom 1 bathroom that was booked week before a long weekend holiday, so there wasn't too many options to choose. The place is more suited for families, as lots of space outside with kids play area and pool. Cabins are clean, spacious and has everything you need to be self contained.

We received a very warm welcome after a long journey, settled in briefly before whizzing off to the Penguin Safari. Our room was very clean and well appointed and the breakfast was fantastic. My wife is gluten intolerant and this was not a problem for the chef. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.

The hostess Sue was very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. The house is a lovely setting with a fountain out the front and a nice garden setting. It is close to the centre of town (a short 5 minute walk). We will be heading back to here when we return to Phillip Island.

Highly recommend if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and to explore Phillip Island. Though they were other competitive high end accommodation nearby, this place gave you the feeling of home away from home. If you don't like the typical hotel setting this place is a must and at a reasonable price. Perhaps visit during the warmer seasons as pool was ...

The staff were great and very friendly. The cabin we stayed in was comfortable and clean, though the lounge area was very small in the two bedroom cabin. The main disappointment was there was no pool facilities and the location was on the edge of Phillip Island so a little bit far from Cowes.

Loved it. Was comfy, and in a great location. We went to Amaze n things park which was extremely convenient and we got discount entry which was even better. nice, clean apartment. No washing machine in the apartment itself. Really chilly in the rooms when we went in June even though the heater was switched on 24/7. Do try Asian Kitchen at the town centre to satisfy your cravings ...

Just booked
Traveler impressions of Phillip Island
Fantastic for seeing native animals. The scenery is also pretty good. You don't need to leave the island for anything, except maybe a whole fish to cook.
We loved our visit to Phillip Island and wish we could stay longer. Recommend staying at least 3 nights.
When it's busy there, the local shops (particularly the food shops) appear run off their feet and several times ran out of basic food items.
Many different amazing and varied beaches, bay side or surf side. Wildlife galore. Nature parks, farmland as well as suburbia.
Very impressive to see so many penguins in the Penguin Parade though it was very cold on the beach and we had to wait for over an hour! We are also very lucky to see a lot of kangaroos by the road side when driving to the Nobbies Centre.
great place to have a holiday or short break excellent restaurants close to the beach and shopping here is great the accommodation are great here and friendly staff
I have spent a lot of time at this destination since I was a small child. It continues to get better and better and I now enjoy it with my adult children.
Highlight is the Penguin Parade, also check out the Churchill Island homestead and Koala Centre. The Bobbies is well worth a visit.
It was such a beautiful place with all wildlife around you. There are wild koalas, penguins (I saw one on the road !) and with the churchill farm, u can meet up with a lot of animals.
I really love the penguin paradise and the A maze thing. There are full of fun. Remember to bring a large coat when go to see the penguin.
i love philip island. The scenery is breathtaking, feel so relax and my baby enjoy visiting the farm seeing all the animal and the penguin parade is the most go place.
Apart from the animals and wildlife, not a very friendly place to visit. Just go for the animals will be fine; nothing else.
Spend time to visit Churchill Farm, as it is a great place for young children and adults who live in City.
2 days one night trip should be sufficient for Penguins Parade, Heritage Farm + Koala Conservation centre.
Recommend to stay at least 2 nights at Philip Island... so can enjoy the hotel stayed and all the nature, beach & sun.
Seal rock cruise was great for all ages. Chocolate factory is a must do for all ages, Amaze n Things is great for families with young kids.
if you like nature life, you must visit here. Here's you can see penguins, kangaroos, koalas etc. You may also visit chocolate factory, nature park, amaze n' things.
Lovely place for family with kids.Kid loves the wild life, and the beaches. It is a great pleasure to drive around the island.
Loved the friendliness of the locals. Very peaceful and easy going lifestyle. Just a great place to unwind amongst the natural beauty of the island.
plan in advance to get the most out of it. Speak to the local tourist office, and go to Maru, before you get to Philip Island.
Bear in mind that the Heritage Park looks amazing, although I tried to visit and drove quite a way along the drive/road which turned off the main road, only to find that about half way down, the drive turns to gravel.
Had a lovely time at Phillip Island. It is very picturesque and quiet in late April. Much to see and do.
Place to watch the penguin parade, nobbies and wombats, there is also the chocolate factory to visit.
Great place, make sure you go to the usual attractions (Penguins, Seal Rock, etc.) and also the Wildlife park for a goos opp to hand feed kangaroos and wombats.
Small island which includes most unit features in Victoria like the heritage farm at Churchill, Koala observation and the sea/bay.
There were a number of cafes and a great RSL club that provide good quality meals/snacks and refreshments.
I love Phillip Island. Have been many times and never get sick of it. Beautiful beaches, so long as you look outside of the main beach at Cowes, good surfing, sports, bushland and general atmosphere.

More about Phillip Island
The main town of Phillip Island is Cowes, and smaller towns include Rhyll, Cape Woolamai, Ventnor, and Newhaven. Motorsports are very popular here, and the annual Australian Grand Prix is held at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit. The biggest attraction, however, goes to the Penguin Parade. At Summerland Beach, the penguins take the cue from the sunset and head from the sea to their nests, making for quite a sight and an unmissable moment on Phillip Island. Rhyll is a small and peaceful fishing village as well as a feeding and breeding area for resident and migratory birds, and at Cape Woolamai are several walking tracks. There is, of course, a number of beaches to visit, and scuba diving is said to be spectacular here. Those with a sweet tooth must be sure to check out the Phillip Island Chocolate Factory, and animal lovers will enjoy a trip to the Koala Conservation Center.
