Find Hotels in Rebun, Japan

Located on the other side of the island, Petit hotel Corinthian justifies the détour. In fact, Petit hotel Corinthian happens to be a train to visit Rebun Island. The charming house is full of European artefacts. The cuisine offers is exquisite and is served in the finest chinaware. I definitely recommend the half board option. The best spot of the island is an 1 hour walk from the hotel : Cape Gorota. There the view is mesmerising.

I had an excellent 2-night stay here about a week ago. Hana Rebun was the most friendly ryokan that I have stayed at during my month in Japan so far. I stayed in a room on the 9th floor facing the ocean. The room is about what you would expect from a Japanese ryokan, but also came with an automatic massage chair in the unit -- very useful after a long day of trekking around Rebun-to. Most importantly, the staff at Hana Rebun were very friendly. Mukaeda-san served me at breakfast and dinner and communicated with me in perfect English, which was a concern I had as a foreigner visiting an island off the coast of Hokkaido. Wada-san picked me up and dropped me off from the ferry terminal in a small shuttle bus, and as I was departing, the owner of the ryokan gave me a small gift to enjoy on my journey. All in all, an excellent visit, both to Hana Rebun, and to Rebun-to overall. Should I return to Rebun-to, I would definitely stay here again!

The location is nice - several minutes walk from the ferry terminal and there is a supermarket nearby. The post office is close so you can withdraw money there. They will also provide you transport to and from the ferry terminal. The room seemed a little old but was kept very clean and it was comfortable. Definitely book a room with a sea-view - you get to see beautiful Mt. Rishiri from your room! The dinner was full of seafood, which I liked. You can view the mountain from the restaurant too. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Gave me some advices on the hiking courses.
