Best hotels & accommodations in Rovaniemi

One needs to take a 10-15 min uphill walk to another "Sky Hotel" before attempting to catch the aurora borealis. You get what you pay for. Location to other activities in Rovaniemi (food, safaris, shopping, museum) requires another 20-30 min walk to the town centre - or a 9eur cab ride. Wifi in the other building (not the facilities block) is extremely poor.

Our host, Mrs. Kiki was very nice and kind. We arrived early but she let us leave our baggage in the apartment and gave us travel tips! The room looks pretty as you can see from photos. We enjoyed Playstation2 and sauna there. We can drink tap water too. We walk to the city area and a good spot for Northern Light (Near Arkutikum) Unfortunately we couldn't see the...

Location: next to a lake (very pretty), but you’ll need to walk about 700m to the heart of the town. Take note that it’s 1km away from Hotel Aakenus itself. Amenities were alright: a stove, heater, wifi and body soap Bed was alright too, enough to get a good night’s sleep.

the owner is very nice to pick us up at the station and drive us around the city before check-in. Restaurant recommendation also help us for selecting the place of our dinner. The room is clean and warm. We enjoy staying at the apartment so much.

The apartment was well-equipped with all that we need for the stay. Recommended to have your own car. The walk from Santa Claus Village was definitely longer than 10 mins, probably 20 mins. Not a problem if without huge luggages. Walking distance to K market.

The apartment was simply stunning. Elli (the owner) is an extremely kind and hospitable lady. The apartment has everything you need for the perfect vacation in Rovaniemi. The house is built in with really good insulation and heater. The coldest night was -22 degrees and we were feeling great in the apartment. There is a grocery shop 5 minutes walk from the apartment. Traveler impressions of Rovaniemi
Besides Santa Claus Village, nothing attracted to come here. Don't need to spend too much time to stay here.
Its a small northern city which has a few museums and a ski hill. The main attraction is Santa's Village which is mediocre.
If you arrive this city by train with big luggage, I suggest you take a taxi to the hotel especially if you are staying next to the river.
