Isabelo's Inn like any other hotels in Sagada, is a basic hotel. It's a place to sleep at the end of the day. What I like about this hotel was the owner. He is a kind man. He helped check what was wrong with our van when it broke down. He also let us use the bathroom to change our dirty clothes from our spelunking even though we already checked out. By the way, location is great! It's right at the center of the town and it's walking distance to the tourist office and all the restaurants.

We were here during ASEAN. We're lucky to get the last standard room from Shamrock and booked at the 3f. The room was big enough for two (4 people will fit quite well in it). The first thing we checked was the heater though, haha. it was working well so we were able to bathe peacefully :D we had quite a journey getting to Sagada (from being left by the Sagada bus to having to wait for a ride at Dantay because we took the Bontoc bound bus instead) so when we checked-in we were really hungry. we had no time to waste though so we decided to try Shamrock's kitchen instead of going out to the famous cafes and restos. Faye cooks deliciously. Their prices are not too far from the well-known restos and cafe in Sagada but the taste is incomparable. Listen to them when they suggest meals because it will never fail you :) it's decided then that if we ever come back to Sagada, we'll stay here again. The staffs are nice, i love them. hi Ate Jenny! (their very mabait receptionist :))

The place is a bit of a walk from the town center (15-20 minutes). In spite of this, I still highly recommend this place. It's quiet, clean, the staff are very courteous, the rooms are nice, and the view is amazing! It's really nice to wake up in the morning and have that view of the mountainside and all the trees, the sunlight, the cool air. The air in Sagada is really fresh I might say. We were a group of 4 ladies and we were given a room enough for 5 people. Mang Oscar, the owner I surmise, was very considerate. When we got to the place, there was actually already a room prepared for us. But he saw that we had a 57-year old traveling with us so he offered to give us a room near the lobby so my dear aunt wouldn't have to take the stairs. What great hospitality! They provide free towels. There's a water dispenser at the lobby. They also have a mini-store where you can buy cup noodles, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc. What's also nice is that when we were going home (we took the Baguio route back to Manila). the GL Trans passes by the road near the lodge so we all did not need to walk to the town center with all our heavy bags. I highly recommend Kanip -Aw Lodge to everyone who wish to travel to Sagada. I would definitely stay here again. :)

It is about 6-8 kilometers from the city center but if you can find a way to get there, this maybe is the nicest place you can stay in Sagada. The food was fantastic the best is it has a free SGD (Sagada) coffee all day. The coffee is the finest you can find in the Philippines... just that you are already a winner. The view of the terraces was fantastic, if i need a retreat i will come here and stay. It is a near Bongko-od falls, but even if you can hike it you need to have a guide and pay 500 pesos. If you can hike this is a nice 2-3 hours. By the way the normal shuttle cost is 400-500 pesos but if you can ride the jeepney it will only cost you 20 pesos, but you need to hike to Coffee Heritage from the Bangaan Elementary School, the jeepney should go to Bangaan... usually you can ask from the center where you can take the jeepney and they will tell you. So its either a shuttle for 400-500 pesos or jeepney for 20 pesos(you may need to wait 30 minutes and a lot of stop and go).

It is important to know that this hotel only provide toothbrush. I recommend You bring your own shampoo and soap. Buying this things in Sagada is expensive it is after all a tourist destination. The rooms do not have any electric fan or ac as I didn't mind this because Sagada is cold. But no TV as well just a basic room. When we came back from our hiking early we only have our phone to entertain us until we got hungry and went out. Bed is very basic the pillow are worst. Blanket that were provided suffice. Again this are very basic hotels in Sagada nothing fancy, but the memories of Sagada is the one i remembered the most not the hotel. PS. Kuya and the young lady were nice to us and unlimited coffee is very good. In fact Sagada coffee is very good.

I booked a house good for 5 pax and already paid it prior to the reserved date. Then arriving at the location, it is a bit far from the town not knowing that they will just TRANSFER us to the different house. They said that their rooms are already full. I ALREADY PAID THE FULL AMOUNT 2 WEEKS BEFORE. I am so disappointed. I always book rooms in agoda and this is the first time I encountered this.

This inn was a good value for what they charge. Owned by local family who were very friendly and accommodating. As far as what is available in Sagada, we were very satisfied. The building is old, and definitely gives a feel like you've gone back in time a bit, but its a nice atmosphere when you are staying in a rural province in philippines. A short walk to city center/tourist office. They let us use their kitchen to cook our food even, although they serve meals(pre-order only) on request. Overall good stay.

Located on the main road of Sagada, which means some noise and jeepney fumes, but some windows are facing away from the street and rooms are quiet. Owner is present in the shop downstairs, which makes it easy for getting the keys. Nice cafe/restaurant just across the street, short walk to bus and tourist guide agencies. The bathroom is basic and gets quite busy when the house is full. Saw insects there - take it as it's an old authentic house and comes with it, it wasn't a big problem.
