I enjoyed stay at Tongtarin because this hotel is the best hotel in Surin. Good location There are some noise at night because there are night entertainment around hotel but acceptable. The breakfast is great. I was enjoyed thai food a lot. The staff need to improve about customer service. They need to treat every customers at the same level. Overall good hotel R...

I was there on Saturday night around 9pm and I’ve booked for 2adults as emergency booking but I have one 10 yrs old with me it’s very kind of them it charged us only 100 bath and also brought the blanket and pillow and price was including breakfast too so lovely. For the room is big, clean, huge bathroom and secure. Staffs are very lovely, friendly and professional. Va...

The rooms are a good size with car parking. Wifi was strong and fast. Food was plentiful and affordable. It's a great value for the money and a good location. Staff was friendly. The complex is large and they provide free bicycles if you want to ride around the complex. My only issue was finding the place the first time. I was going based on Google Maps and at the road...

The hotel itself is great, the pool is cool, inviting and scrupulously clean (as is the whole hotel). The location is far enough from any noise that the area is completely quiet at night but a short walk to town for all that Surin has to offer, you are better with transport though and ample parking is available with 24 hour security. But the best part of the hotel wi...

I have been going to Surin for a couple of years and always stay near the bus station. I don't drive in Surin and it limits your search for hotels. I decided to brave a car rental and found Slive on Agoda. It is a short drive from central downtown Surin. This a beautiful modern clean well kept hotel. There is no dirt or smell or darkness to this hotel. Everything atta...

I didn't know Hop-Inn was a chain, but I'm sure glad I came across them as the experience was excellent. The hotel in Surin is right next to the ancient Maneerote Hotel. The latter is in quite run-down appearance, so this only makes the Hop-Inn Hotel stand out in more impressive light. A big, bright blue building and it's huge car park space are what you see first. T...

we had an excellent 3 days at the hotel the staff were really welcoming and friendly daily cold water and towels quiet area although slightly outside of town, we had bikes so it was easy to cycle into town. There are restaurants within walking distance would definitely stay here again

This is a really nice hotel. My girlfriend and I had a really enjoyable stay here. Although they speak limited English, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and always tried their best to assist whenever we had questions. Thankfully I speak a little bit of Thai which helped with communication. The room was big and had sufficient facilities. The laundry service wa...

We were looking for a good cheap hotel for our 4 night stopover in Surin to see the Elephant Festival. We considered others, but kept on coming back to this hotel, the lack of meals at the hotel is not a problem, as for a westerner, there are excellent meals available at the 214 Diner, 200 meters from the entrance to Robinsons. The hotel is great, looks new, but is in...

No accommodation was available in Buriram for MotoGP 2018, so we ended up staying here. It has many rooms, but who knows why it was built where it is! I think we got the last available scooter in Surin, so we were able to get to the track ok (about 50km away). We had a VIP room, it's a good size and has a fridge, a carport, is spotlessly clean, but has no other ameniti...

It is easy to find the hotel there is a big sign on the road directing you down the soi.Carpark is underneath so motorbikes and cars are not subject to weather conditions.Key card lock on door to hotel and nice clean stairs and corridor. The rooms are very large and clean. The bed was a kingsize and very soft. The air conditioner worked well and there were 200 stations on...

surin is a little city.this hotel, locted in the westsouth of surin,is sometime hard to find.i called their front desk when i arrived in surin, the girl cann't speak english...but i find a local drive to confirm the position with her and cost me 60b from the railway staion to the hotel.the boss named boy is very very kind,he and his wife can speak english.he drived me to...

If you ask me the name of the city or even the province or District where this hotel is I have no idea. Only booked it for the MotoGP and it was actually in the middle of nowhere. But middle of nowhere in Thailand means people are friendly people are giving and they want to make you happy. Had a beautiful view of Mighty Old River which I love and next time I would love...

Gary and Nok both care for there costumers more than I have experienced before, if you show respect and are grateful, you are like a family. Good pool. Mosquitos are as few as there is problems here, none. I normally do not leave reviews, well mostly if am not happy with the service or anything that needs to be lifted for future costumers. Anyhow.. Do not miss out on t...

My partner and I headed to Surin for the Elephant Roundup. We found our hotel conveniently nestled within the area close to local food, bus terminals and access to the stadium. Staff were friendly and did all they could to help. It was our first time in Surin so the advice and suggestions from the staff were greatly appreciated. Only downside was that we had trouble ac...

we needed to spend several days in the surin-buri ram area. we picked the hotel by the rior reviews and selected a deluxe room over superior for the few baht more. it was a very good choice. we had one small issue at the beginning with wifi, not an adequate signal. so within 5 minutes the technicians came and installed another wireless port in the building and all ...

this resort was nice to stay at. although for the uninitiated it a bit minimalist. combined shower and toilet with hot water only at the shower. television is only thai and no subtitles even. beatiful surroundings and a fish farm on property was a real seler for me. the fish at the restaurant was very fresh and very well prepared. staff was friendly and very helpfull b...

This lodging is located in the town of Sikhoraphum, which is best known for an old Khmer ruin of the same name. The ruin is a short walk from the resort. Sikhoraphum makes a reasonable alternative to staying in Surin city. Most of what there is to see in Surin is south, not in Surin city, and you can get there as easily from Sikhoraphum too. Prices are lower in Sik...

Considering that the main customers and thus majority of rooms and prices are geared for Thai, the regular tourist should book the best rooms only. Doing this will secure a clean adequate sized room with airco, fridge, tv and bathroom at good value for money! Staff services and attendance is most correct and pleasurable aimed in securing the customers requirement. Th...

We were in Surin for the annual Elephant Festival, the Suanpa resort is ideally located for the festival attractions and within easy reach of the town centre. The resort is very large and whilst not modern the rooms are spacious and clean they even have bath tubs!!! The restaurant is very popular and is crowded every night with locals and tourists the food is excellent...

It's really within walking distance of everything at night just a short walk and your in the night market yet it's a very quiet secure island of tranquillity, good size rooms air shower and fridge all work. Basic, institutional rooms are kept clean, and were recently painted, and supplied with in-room coffee maker (coffee packs resupplied daily). Quiet location along route 214, just one K south of the busy 24. Best dining options, however, are north of 24 in the center of Prasat, or at the second filling station to the west along 24 (no kidding!). Note that the staff does...

The place is in a decent location, the staff are friendly and warm and took great care of me. Not much English spoken here, but its OK for me as my girl is Thai. The room is large and airy and has good Air-con and cable TV. Overall I would highly recommend to travelers coming to the Prasat area of Surin. Oh and there is a Tesco just down the road for shopping needs.

Traveler impressions of Surin
It is a typical county town, not very exciting but if you want to see how the poorer sections of Thailand exist.
This is an agricultural community. Most shops close earlier in the evening. The Elephant Festival is well worth a 7-8 hour train or bus ride from Bangkok to visit for Thurs evening thru Sat evening.

More about Surin
The most famous attraction in Surin isn’t a place or a monument, it’s the elephants for which this region is so well known. Each November, the city hosts the famous Elephant Roundup, a three-day event where elephants perform activities and roam freely around the city. The city fills up with a great deal of tourists during this time, so hotels in Surin tend to fill up very quickly. Booking ahead is highly recommended.
Elephants aren’t the only thing for which this province is so well known. Exploring the Khmer-era temples dotted along the border of the city is a great way to get to know some of the history of this province, and a visit to Surin National Museum offers a large collection of cultural and historical artifacts and exhibits all in one place. Seek the assistance of hotel staff to arrange for a knowledgeable tour guide and learn about the silk making, ethnic history, and cultural development of Surin.
