"Hotel is 2 minutes walk from subway station and it is located above the wanhua station (train). It is new and everything in good condition. bed really comfortable. The staffs are helpful, polite and funny. The toilet is quite small. My knees almost touched the door when i sit down. I think we got more than what we paid, considering this is a new 4 stars hotel in Taipei"

"A very nice weekend in Caesar Park Hotel Banqiao! Last year until last week, I have stayed in Ceasar Park Hotel Banqiao for more than 10 nights! As a frequent customer of Ceasar Park Hotel, I would like to make this comments: Compared with other 5 stars hotels in Taipei, I think the facilities, decoration, hospitality standards are greater than many other 5 stars hotels in Taipei. I may suggest other visitor who will choose this hotel for staying, Please compare the Agoda price, also the hotel website. I think you will have a customized package with affordable price!"

Hotel Midtown Richardson

"This being my 9th trip to Taiwan, I have stayed at a number of hotels from 5 star to 3 star. I would rank this as one of the best hotels I have stayed at in Taipei. I had orgininally booked for 3 days but ended up staying a total of 6 days. The location in excellent with the Ximen MRT station exit 5 just outside the hotel. The rooms are very modern and the bed is very comfortable. This is a new hotel and there are still some renovaitons in the lower level but nothing to be a hinderence at all to your stay. I have only some very small comments to make but once again nothing to be overly concerned by. The lip on the shower floor is quite low so the water does not drain away as quick so need to be careful of the water flowing over to the floor. While ther rooms are very spacious there is no where to put your luggage except on the floor maybe the room could have a stand that you can put your luggage on. The breakfast is delivered to your room from an external supplier. Not really to my liking as it was cold. I would have preffered maybe some pastries than the american style that was delivered.. My final comment and this is not a critisicm of this hotel but of most in taiwan. I would like to see an iron and ironing board in the rooms. Overall I must say I was very impressed with this hotel and the staff. I will definately be booking this hotel again on my next trip."

The Okura Prestige Taipei Hotel

"I love my stay at The Okura Prestige Taipei Hotel. It's a brand new hotel with excellent customer service. We stayed in an Okura Double Room. Great value for money with the room luxuriously confortable and equipped. Located very centrally and very near to the Zhongshan MRT Station, it makes travelling around all the tourist attractions within Taipei City an ease. The size of the room is big and very spacious. The essential needs like the shower & WC are pretty High Tech & excellent quality. Definitely will stay there again in my next visit to Taipei and I highly recommend this hotel for first timers to Taipei or anyone looking for a great hotel within Taipei City near centrally located MRT Station. Inhouse Hotel Yehliu
Wanli District,Taipei - View on map
"The kids loved it. They just wanted to stay in the hotel the whole time and not go out to the very close (across a parking lot) Yehliu GeoPark and Ocean World. The staff was great and extremely helpful. The one thing I did not like was that few people were taking many Covid-19 precautions (except in the kids' play area, where everyone had their temperature checked, hand sanitized, and wore masks, which was great). Naturally, this is Taiwan, and there are no confirmed local cases. But we went during a big traveling holiday, and it would have been nice if people had worn masks and social distanced at check in. The breakfast buffet also made me a bit nervous. Lots of people, no sneeze guards, and everyone using the same serving tongs over and over again. I wouldn't have thought twice about it before Covid-19, but it I could make a recommendation to the hotel, I would request that they think about how to better manage the breakfast buffet or offer other breakfast options for people who are shy of going to the buffet but still would enjoy a breakfast at the hotel. For young kids, though, this was a great place. My son could drive the toy cars around and around for hours, and the hotel was next door to several seafood restaurants and close to the interesting Yehliu sites. "

Humble House Taipei
Xinyi District,Taipei - View on map
"My first time in Taiwan in a long long while, and my friend who sponsored the trip booked the hotel. Knowing him to be frugal, I thought he had booked us into a pension house, so I was grumbling all the way to Taipei. I was pleasantly surprised. It was a grand hotel, after all. The room was fantastic: great bed and beddings, hi-tech amenities (power curtain, power sunshade and centralized room controls) and a top-of-th-line bidet that not only cleans, dries and deodorizes, but has certain settings that pleasantly tickles your butthole, making you linger more than usual on the toilet bowl. The location is primo, walking distance to shops for top international brands as well as Taipei 101. Staff is very friendly, solicitous even, and elevator has security features. Great city view from the window, and buffet breakfast is above par. I give it a two thumbs up. YEAH BA!!"

Fullon Hotel Fulong
Gongliao District,Taipei - View on map
" We took the train from Taipei, and we're pleased to find that the hotel was actually 5 minutes walking distance from the station, just as they state on the Internet. It was raining when we arrived, but they shuttled us over to our private bungalow on a golf cart. We were initially pleased with the room - it was large, clean, and had wonderful amenities - the bathroom was especially impressive! Abundant toiletries, large bathtub, separate shower, etc. The evening was hilly, so we decided to turn on the small 'fireplace' - an electric heater that glows like a fireplace - which was a welcome touch for our romantic weekend! The complimentary buffet-style breakfast was nicely stocked with both Eastern and Western fare. The staff in the restaurant knows how to care for guests! If you have reasonable requests, they'll surely do everything within means to accommodate. The grounds of the hotel are kept in immaculate condition. It is pleasant to walk around the resort since there are many mature trees and private bungalows, but most people would prefer the beach. The hotel affords guests direct access to Rainbow Bridge, which brings one to Fulong Beach. There is also a nice walkway that leads around to another bridge and hiking/biking trails. We didn't go too far, but if you are more eager, you'll reach Yanliao within 30 minutes. The area is very busy during the warmer months, but our stay in December was still comfortable. We enjoyed the serenity and quiet of the resort and town, but it must become very busy during peak season."

More about Taipei

Taipei has everything vacationers are after, from charming colonial districts and historic temples to magnificent green spaces and a hip, cosmopolitan edge. Tourists divide their time between marvelous attractions like the National Palace Museum, part of a collection that originated in Beijing, and soaring sites like Taipei 101, which once held the title of the tallest building in the world. In between are a wealth of temples, memorials, and traditional markets all worth exploring. The Japanese architecture and street markets of Datong district make it a great place for visitors.

The commercial capital of Taipei is the Da-an district. This is where the best street markets are found, including venues that specialize in jade, flowers, and electronics. The university and expatriate communities found here contribute to a fresh, international atmosphere. Ximending is another of Taipei’s commercial giants, and many of its boutiques, galleries, and art-house cinemas are kept in buildings dating back to the 1930s.

Accommodation in Taipei comes in all categories with budget hostels next to the kind of franchise giants seen around the world. Getting around will be convenient with a metro system near many of the city’s hotels. Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport is the city’s point of entry for the majority of travelers.
