"We were not sure what to expect having never visited Washington D.C. before. The hotel was pleasant on first impression. It was busy so we had to wait a little past the check-in time before we could get our room. Though the lobby and lounge area was nice, we found the room to be a little drab and run-down - still good quality but we didn't feel it was worthy of the 4 star rating. Admittedly, the quality of our room could possible be due to us being on the "pet-friendly" floor as we had our dog with us. The staff and the bar were the best things about the hotel. The location is good is you want to be near union station and capitol hill, but now especially good if you want to be easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. There is also a sketchy area just around the corner from the hotel that we were surprised to happen upon on our walk back from being out. "

"I'm trying to figure out What's going on lately Everywhere that I've been going thinking that I'd be able to find a moment of Peace there, and certain individuals keep making sure that they'll Never happen? I didn't mean to "Offend" anyone by asking What should I do and/or What would they do if they were in the exact same position, yet it seems like No One's allowed to be straight forward speaking of particular individuals who I've been dealing with practically chasing me Everywhere I've been going around the Country after my coming out of a coma back in 2010.. I mean Seriously, they've gotten me jumped on, robbed, slanging fowl accusations about me to making sure that they can keep me out economically, physically, and socially struggling All on my own just trying to Live in our so-called Land of the Free Hypocrisy! I'm dead Serious, they're the ones who've been getting offended by my begging them and others to just leave me alone, while they're pushing to make sure that I don't inform Police and/or Government Officials of What they've been getting away with around the Country concerning me and my Everything for over 9 years running around begging for Help, them deliberately passing out HIV/AIDS like it's Candy, and how dare anyone else dare saying something's just Not appropriate with this... Like in this situation, I think to saying something to an actual Black Female and she for some reason feel that she's "Offended" from my thinking that I was Warning my People's of how people have been pulling this crap around the Country, especially on the East-Coast.. She then goes back to her Boss and I ended up being thrown out, overcharged, and it would Personally appear as if certain individuals are trying to make sure that I'm Not Allowed to go anywhere, unless I decide going to Jail for Not having done a damn thing Wrong, What because I came out to Washington DC thinking that I'd surely be able to get Help in the Nation's Capital?.... "I traveled with my whole family to Washington from New York. If you want to visit major attractions like white house, national mall etc, Sofitel is really a good choice in terms of location. Very close to white house and metro that you can travel within the capital easily. Also another reason I choose Sofitel because they offer 3 pax to 5 pax room, which is also a good fit for family travelers / large group. Room is comfortable. But one thing we don't know is that the hotel does not provide toothbrushes and toothpaste, which is not common in Asia. "
