Total Dream Honeymoon!”
I booked a Coco Residence private overwater bungalow villa at Coco Bodu Hithi for my husband and I to enjoy on our honeymoon. We stayed a total of 8 nights and it was absolutely fabulous! I would recommend staying 4-5 nights though, as there's not a ton to do on the island. There are fun water sports to try out, but they are pretty spendy. We stuck to a cheaper, non-motorized water sport of glass-bottom kayaking around the island. It took 45 min. and cost $35. Very beautiful way to see the island! I will caution you that the food is very expensive as well as the alcoholic beverages. I believe the bottles of liquor were watered down at the resort, as we each had a few drinks and felt absolutely nothing. Stick to bottled beverages where YOU are the one to open them (Coronas, wine, etc.), but avoid the $24 cocktails. Alcohol is illegal in the Maldives, except for at the resorts, so you're unable to bring anything with you into the country. The staff is very friendly and do a great job of making you feel welcome and each villa has its own butler/host to communicate with when you have questions, requests or to book dinner reservations. Not all of the restaurants listed on Coco's website were open while we were there, so please double check with the resort if you're looking to go to one in particular! Since everyone had to present a negative PCR test upon arrival into the Maldives, no one had to wear masks (or shoes) on the island whatsoever! It was covid-free and felt like such a normal (pre-covid) trip. Totally amazing! We hope to go back and visit again someday :)

Our Residence 602 Stay ”
Magical! Unbelievable! Absolute paradise! Everything about this resort was amazing from the wait staff at Latitudes to the grounds crew. Everyone is so friendly with “good mornings!” and “how are you today?” as they walk by. Samoon was our butler and he was just fabulous! Extremely knowledgeable and friendly, there for us at any time day or night. The breakfast buffet was delicious with tons of options. My family loved the curry options best as it is a style food we can’t get easily where we live. I highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a smaller more private island with tons of excursion options.

Island Paradise”
The Island Villas (or beach villas) were one of the few beach villas among many of the resorts we had shortlisted that could rival the over-water villas due to the luxurious interior and magnificent bathtub that is the centerpiece of the villa. We stayed in both the Water Villas and Island Villas and could testify that both offer a vastly different experience, and we loved the island villa for its coziness and its tropical vibes. We would recommend if possible to stay on an Island Villa facing Long Beach as that is the best stretch of beach on the island. Our stay was made very memorable by the amazing staff who remembers all the details and caters to all our needs if possible. Transportation from the airport to the resort was very smooth, with us being whisked away to the speedboat in less than 15mins upon greeting our arrival butler. Our host for the stay, Daria, was also very thoughtful in helping coordinate a few items as it was our honeymoon trip. We tried the private trip to turtle reef as one of the activities and we recommend it, having managed to see many turtles. Activities are a little pricey but we felt this was one of the ones that were worth it especially since we would have finished exploring most of the house reefs.

Snorkel, Tan, Sleep, repeat”
The Escape Water Villas and Water Villas offer fantastic views of the oceans and most are situated directly in front of the beautiful house reefs. We found that the reefs between the water villas and Aqua Restaurant to be the best and spotted turtles and reef sharks frequently in the area and would definitely recommend snorkeling in this area. Areas that can be improved are the quality of the bathtub, hot water is limited and ours had a faulty pipe that led to water draining to the ocean, and hence we could only use water without soap for the bathtub. Also to note is that room service for drinks in the water villas comes without the ice bucket as compared to those in the island villas. Food was definitely a little pricey but generally tastes good - to note that most of the charges does not include drinks. We stayed in the Island Villa, Coco Residence and Escape Water Villa and found that the most memorable would be the Escape Water Villa due to the fantastic views and just being able to witness the activity from the marine life right at our doorstep.

I came here as a birthday gift for myself. I had a wonderful time. Staff is A+, facilities A+. I am not a swimmer, in fact, I am quite afraid of water (the ocean in particular) but my concierge Daria and my guide made me feel confident enough to ride jet skies in the open ocean and I went snorkeling. That's a big deal for me.

Great bespoke service, beautiful house reef and unbelievable views”
We had the privilege of staying in 3 different villas (Island Villa, Escape Water Villa, and Coco Residences) and each offers its own take on paradise living in the tropics. The Island Villas offer fantastic beach views and are great for catching rays, especially along Long Beach (the nicest beach on the island). We particularly enjoyed our stay at the Escape Water Villas, with direct access to the wonderful house reef, and one of the best snorkeling spots lies between the Water Villas and Aqua restaurant where turtles and reef sharks can be spotted. Coco Residences redefines luxury living with a large private pool and daybed, as well as gorgeous sunset and sunrise views. We appreciated the bespoke service, especially from Daria and Jalil who helped to smoothly manage our various requests including a surprise bouquet and all in all made for a very memorable honeymoon for us.

Wonderful snorkeling ”
We stayed in the water villa and able to snorkel right in front of our villa. I saw beautiful corals, team of fishes, a giant sea turtle and even a reef shark. The staffs are friendly and attentive. Meals were expensive but not in expected, it is Maldives after all!

Almost Perfect!”
The staff was amazing! The property is beautiful. The room interior looks just like the pictures. The only issue I have is the wood from the deck and patios need to be replaced. They are old. Some places don't have nails to secure the boards and they seem unsafe. Near the restaurant they are working on replacing some aread with new wood but it really should be replaced throughout the resorts. The speed boat was only 30mins from the MLE Airport. This is a good option of you don't want to do a seaplane.

3 night stay in Coco Residences”
The speedboat transfer is quite smooth. We stayed in room 608 of Coco Residences with breakfast included only. On 03Feb2020 to 06Feb2020. The room is clean and tidy and facilities are ok. We had lunch in Star Bar and the price is acceptable. For dinner, we tried Tsuki restaurant for Japanese food. The food is good but price is so expensive. We didn’t join any activities run by the resort. We just snorkeling around our villa and in Spa Beach. Water is clear and we were able to see many reef fish. Our room is facing east. We enjoyed sitting outside after 5pm when the sun is nearly set. The sea breeze was very comfortable and it kept breezing 24 hours within our 3 days stay. At night, we spent our times in the outdoor area in our room and watched some stars.

Coco Residence 1N Stay”
The facilities were maintained and has met our expectations. Transfer facility was well facilitated by Assid. We were met by our Butler, Gothem as soon as we arrived in the resort. We were served refreshments and check in protocol was facilitated well by Anita. It's not easy to accommodate a group of 20 at the same time but they did it. The resort has a big activity room to hold families who needs to check out already but needs somewhere to enjoy the services of the resort. All inquiries were handled professionally well by Gothem. We were excited to enjoy the water villa and see the beautiful resort. Love the 183 sqm of the villa, enormous bath and bath tub, 2 washing areas, separate walk in closet and makeup area. One can view the infinity pool and the ocean from the main bedroom. The room was well stacked with coffee and tea supply. Toiletries was luxurious. Love the deck access to the ocean. Overall, good experience with Coco Bodu Hithi.
