Great hotel with superb value for money”

During mine and my partners stay in Zara Continental Hotel, we were pleasantly surprised by the hotel decor, facilities, comfort of room and cleanliness. The bedroom was comfortable although the view was one of other hotel rooms. The staff are always very friendly and quickly sorted out our safe when it malfunctioned. One slight disappointment was the over-priced food in the restaurant, but I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Nice hotel and good location ”

Hotel was nice and in a good location in Budapest They many restaurants around the hotel and also when you out of the airport just exchange 50euro for bus or taxi in the airport around the hotel area they is a good exchange rate for Hungary money just near around the hotel breakfast buffet was good not so boring I been stay at this hotel for 7days and 6night overall is one of the best hotel in Budapest 😁

Four Hungarian stars”

It seems that hotel stars in Hungary are inflated. More so than in other places. The Continental is a sólida 3 star hotel in international categories. It does have the amenities and location, but the room was a little tired, and for a 4-star hotel the double room was very tight. Again, acceptable on a 3-star but not on a 4-star. We stayed there for 4 nights and I don't think that they ever vacuumed or somehow cleaned the hardwood floor. So, a negative mark here. But overall the linen freshness and cleanliness were impeccable and changed daily. Bathrooms was also properly cleaned and refreshed daily. The breakfast is tops. Large variety and constantly being refreshed and added. Top grade here. All in all a good experience!

lovely hotel”

this was a lovely hotel in a great location if you like local garden parties and good food. The walk to the danube river was about forty minutes, but the walk was lovely and great chance to explore. The hotel itself was very clean and friendly. very stylish and confortable to say the least. The roof top spa was incredible with a brilliant view over budapest.

Great area for walking!”

The hotel is situated in the old Jewish area just down from the world's second to largest synagogue, which makes for really interesting walking. Accessing the main shopping area is also an easy walk. Lots of cafes and restaurants in the area. We found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. If I were to return to Budapest I would definitely stay there again and wouldn't hesitate in recommending it.

Great hotel with good service”

the hotel interior is modern but still retain its old grand status. rooms are cosy and comfortable. although i stayed for only one night at continental hotel zara, it was good enough to recommend my friends to stay there.

Nice Hotel”

We had a lovely stay in Continental Hotel. Breakfast was very good, as was the quality of food in the restaurant and reasonably priced. However, we had an executive room and although size wise it was very spacious, the bed was extremely low and very uncomfortable and single duvets were to small for bed. The room was also at the front of the hotel and was very noisy In the night from traffic and loud music coming from the bar’s etc in the area which went on until 4am plus..not quite what we would expect from an Executive room. That said we would come back to the Continental the staff were lovely but we would book a standard room away from the front of the hotel.

Fantastic hotel with all the amenities you need!”

I had a great stay at the Continental Hotel Zara. It is built in a refurbished bath house which makes it both historical, but modern as it has all the amenities you could need from a hotel. Wifi was quick and free and the hotel was in a good location.

Lovely modern hotel ”

The rooms are modern and have air con. I loved the historic touch to it though with the entrance lobby and door to the hotel. The restaurant staff were very nice and professional and the food was amazing. In a central location to get around Budapest and see every hing. I definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Comfort in the heart of Budapest”

Hotel Zara was beyond comfortable and undoubtedly memorable. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and speaking English was no problem for anyone. A 30 minute walk takes you to some of the loveliest sights Budapest has to offer and with Christmas Markets all around town, the journey was always safe and pretty.

Nice hotel”

Nice hotel, perfect location ( walking distance), friendly staff and good english skills. The room we booked was a little bit small. We had a nice time in Budapest and I would book this hotel again.

Could do so much better”

The Continental Hotel Budapest is in a good location and the rooms and nicely decorated and clean. This could easily have been a 4 or 5 star review but for a few issues that unfortunately affected our stay. Our room was way too hot the entire time we were there - when we were in the room during the day we either opened the window or put the air conditioning on but unfortunately we couldn't do this at night because of the noise from the street and the fact that the air conditioning unit sounded like a jumbo-jet taking off. This resulted in being uncomfortably hot at night - with the windows closed and the air conditioning off the temperature was showing as 27 degrees at 1am, despite it being a relatively cold weekend in March. Other issues were hearing a lot of noise from the corridor, breakfast being busy, and a staff member selling us tickets to a thermal baths at the wrong price which meant we had to pay extra when we got there. Hotel has potential, but is currently disappointing.

fantastic experience”

we moved to this hotel after a 3 night stay in another 4 start luxury hotel from a well know chain. no comparison. the details in the room the quality of the huge bathroom, the mazing level of cleanliness made for a terrific experience. one little treasure hidden in the hotel is the restaurant. while the breakfast looked really good but ordinary high chain hotel style (one of the good one) where things got to a really different level was the restaurant. we tried 8 top restaurants in town. one on the river that we loved, the italian one just across the street (amazing food average pizza ... i am italian and i should know right!) and the restaurant callas just opposite to the opera house, our favorite for food quality was without a doubt the restaurant within the hotel, perhaps not in terms of atmosphere ... a bit cold and impersonal but clearly with a luxurious feel, the food was better than anything else we tried and ..... much cheaper ... dont be tempted by the lunch menu good and dirty cheap but not worth it i think when compared to the selection you have for just a little more

Value for money”

Very classy hotel. I like the amenities, and also room is clean. Plenty of restaurants nearby, and this hotel is located near the city. I will stay here again if I come to Budapest!

Fantastic Hotel, Staff and Location”

We stayed in this hotel in February as a couple with our 9 month old daughter, and our friends, another couple with 8 year old son, and one other couple. All of us in mid - late 30's. We actually came for my boyfriends 40th birthday and I only mentioned that to the booking team, as was looking for a restaurant to go to celebrate it. Surprisingly on the arrival day we have delivered to the room bottle of wine and a lovely bday card for him. Also our room has been upgraded to a better one and much bigger one which was fantastic for us staying there with the baby . Not sure what was the reason for that but it was fantastic, so thank you very much to the hotel staff. And the staff ... wow ! reception staff truly 5 stars ! nothing we have experienced before anywhere in the world and we do travel around 4 times a year. Small but nice swimming pool. Nice bar on the first floor. Would love to come back one day. Fantastic location. Walking distance to most places

A nice boutique hotel”

A very nice boutique hotel at jewish district. Walking distance to so many cafes, restaurants, bars, and attractions. Will stay here again when we're back in Budapest.

Nice hotel in great location”

Lovely hotel, very clean, good facilities, excellent breakfast, perfect location, comfortable room if perhaps a little small. Staff very professional but could have been a little more pleasant and welcoming. Would stay there again if returning to Budapest.

great location ”

beautiful terrace with a nice view and 2 pools. the hotel room was nice and cozy with air conditioner and comfortable bed. The toilet was clean and updated but some water splashed on the floor while showering. No big deal but it's not nice to walk in the toilet and have your socks get wet. The location was perfect, near many pubs and restaurants!! Would return.

Extraordinary Hotel”

Unfortunatel at the beginning of our stay we had to face some booking issue. I have made a reservation for three people in three different rooms and reservation was somehow made for three people in one room. Lady at reception desk was very profesional and within 10 minutes waiting problem was solved. We have even got free two room upgrade. Wellness is beautiful! What I would suggest is to extend opening hours - from 9 am to 9 pm is in my opinion not the best time - I would love to swim or take sauna early morning or even at least till 10 pm. Otherwise I have only very good experience in everything in this hotel close to beautiful Jewish Synagoga.
