A good budget choice near USJ Taipan”

I needed a place close to USJ Taipan in Subang Jaya, so Cottage Inn was a good choice located literally steps away from all amenities: restaurants, shops, banks, etc. Public transportation is lacking (although the LRT extension line will open in July 2016) but using Uber or Grab makes it easy to find a taxi. Staff were quite friendly. Things to note: there is a mosque next door and the first call to prayer is at 5:30 am; if you have a window room facing the street like I did, the call to prayer sounds very loud. It might be necessary to sacrifice the window room for an inner room in order to sleep in. Also, I was on a non-smoking floor, but the centralized air con meant that I could smell smoke coming from other rooms.

Good location to have foods and convenient to Sunway Pyramid ”

The hotel is located in a good location, it's near to Sunway Pyramid, Taipan and there are a lot of restaurants nearby. However, the wall of the hotel room is quite not sound insulation, suddenly will have door open close sound non stop, make us feel so scary and can't fall asleep. Btw, the hotel staffs are nice and friendly, and the room is clean and price is reasonable.

I think the price is almost near or similar to budget hotel nearby NuSentral at KL Sentral and I believe it is so because of its location in USJ9. Location wise or walking wise is a bit far off from eatery and grocery shops. However, i think there is a famous eatery Murni 2 blocks behind which serves big portion and delicious food. 7-Eleven is a block behind. There are many local banks around. The best thing for me at this hotel are air-cond and fridge which works for a very heat sensitive person like me. I always worried air-cond not cold enough cause most of the hotels rarely service their airconds especially the Central Hotel near NuSentral. Furniture are old but functional since I only need a bath and comfy bed to sleep. The funny thing is its lift is next staircase beside the lobby.

We have been patronising this establishment since 2012 due to its value and friendly staff. However during this visit, we were told by the concierge that there was no booking confirmation between Agoda and the property. Hence no room allocated for my vacation upon arrival. Fortunately there are still rooms available and property management agreed to allocate it to us at booking price. Prior to that, we have contacted Agoda for clarification and help rendered as expected but was unsure what and where it went wrong. This drama had never happened to us on any of our vacations before and have caused unnecessary anxiety, dissatisfaction and disappointment.

Friendly staff, the room very clean, save place and easy to find the food because a lot of restaurants near hotel.

Very basic budget accommodation ”

The ground floor room’s toilet emanated a really bad smell - probably the cockroaches and rodents from the back lane, which the staff initially tried to “fix” by heavily spraying air freshener - not sure which smelt worse! We got moved up to the higher floor and it was ok there. Place is in need of maintenance - eg. Broken shower tap, creaking door. Parking is not free - you pay for each time you enter/exit. Coffee n tea facilities are available at reception, not in room. Rooms are very small, to be expected with the prices. A very basic and budget accommodation good for washing up and crashing for the night

Room facilities improvement”

I was remember that day my room number is 203. Room air conditioner was not cold, even open frok afternoon check in until the next morning check out. Temperature of aircorn even put 16 degree also cannot cold., Toilet shower water was flash everywhere which dont have a good conditions, hotel water need to open 5minutes to 10minutes only will be hot. I was so sad stay at this hotel for my choice. Again i hope that Management from this hotel can improve your facilities and all the thing that u need to repair to make other traveller who stay at your hotel feel like home and enjoy their rest to continue the next journey at that area or far to Go

Location is near to Taipan LRT Station. However, when I checked in, there was a leftover coffee (or tea?) in a plastic takeaway, maybe from previous travellers? or the hotel staff? That's the disappointing part. If possible, I hope the hotel management would change the carpet flooring to tiles flooring, as the carpet flooring is quite dusty (and kept me sneezing) and there was no slippers provided. Need good maintenance. Otherwise, the hotel staff was quite friendly.

Parking rate is quite expensive. Around RM3/hr during night and RM1/hr during day time. Anyone planning to stay here is recommended to park outside hotel area and can just walk to the hotel.

No hair dryer provided.Mineral water only supply x 1 bottle per room. Need to change pillow .pillow so soft and not comfortable.I saw dirt on the wall. So dirty. Aircond cannot adjust because it centralized.

Please improve your cleanliness. I got flu and fever because the room so dusty. The airconditioner dusty and smelly. I wonder when the last they do maintanence to the air cond. Very unhappy. If you can improve this matter overall can be satisfied.

Location wise is good. This area has wide variety of local food and banking establishments. Near to the LRT station too. However, 2 things i don't like is that you have to pay for parking as this is commercial zone and you cannot control the AC temperature in this hotel.
