Pleasant hotel with great customer service”

It was a pleasant stay at the Crystal Crown Hotel. Strategically located in Petaling Jaya,nearby the Universiti Malaya. Mid Valley Megamall shopping centre is only 10 minutes away. Room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast is above average with various choices of food, western and local. Swimming pool is clean but a bit small. However the air conditioning was very cold even after setting it at low. All in all, very satisfied with my stay and will definitely return.

Short staycation that is so worth it!”

It was a very satisfying & great staycation in PJ. The Superior room that we booked is very spacious, large and clean. decorated simple but with cosy ambience. Facilities were good, they had restaurants, cafe, gym, pool etc. The Hotel also gave us 2 complimentary breakfast passes, which provides great breakfast spread of menus. The only thing lacking during my stay , was the pillow covers were not really clean and had stained marks on it, other than that overall everything in the room was greatly fine & comfortable, Would like to comment the Front Desk receptions were very very slow and lack efficient service. Had to wait about more than 30 minutes to check in, was kind of agitated as many clients were waiting & also cutting queues to get to their turn. Crystal Crown Pj definitely need to buck up on your Front Desk assistance to be much more efficient. Overall , my one day staycation was very good, will definitely come back again for a longer stay in future vacations to come.

Best service affordable price”

crystal crown has been my favourite accommodation since 2010 each time i come for work in PJ area. The service is very good, friendly staffs, and clean room. During this time, they even send my breakfast to the room with nicely pack, which show the extra effort by the hotel management. I would like to compliment a lady staff name Clevance (if i see correctly). She is friendly, polite and helpful. This hotel is definitely a worth staying.

Comfortable hotel and good restaurant”

I stayed at Crystal Crown Hotel, PJ for 2 nights. My room was on 16th floor which had executvie lounge. In the lounge, you can have a tea break for free and hotel staff (Mr.Robert),who in charege of that place, was very friendly and willing to help. The room was comfortable and also include free WiFi. Sango is the Japanese restaurant on 2nd floor.I was really enjoyed dinner there (A la carte and buffet). One problem is that the hotel is far from public transport and taxi in front of the hotel does not use meter, so do not call use it. I give 8 out of 10 for my experience there.

Quiet getaway”

If one is looking for a quiet getaway, then I would definitely recommend crystal crown hotel. Except for the car park, I would say the hotel generally is well maintained and the staff are friendly. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. Never really fancied the food there but the area is surrounded by eateries and shopping centers. And if one wants to catch up with friends, then the club downstairs is a pleasant place to hang out and drink the night away.

Great alternative hotel in PJ”

My colleague recommended Crystal Crown due to its location in PJ. I had never tried it before and was chosing between PJ Hilton, Armada and Crystal Crown. The final decision factor was the great price at Crystal Crown - I got a Junior Suite room for less than I would pay for a regular room at Hilton so I decided to give it a try. I knew of course it wasn't a brand new hotel so I didn't expect to much - but I have to say I was positively surprised. The reception staff was great and cheerful bellboy. My room was very large with a nice view. The bathroom amenities were so so and could do for some nicer products but overall it was acceptable. There were some issues with the internet that the technicians solved in a matter of minutes - very helpful. The breakfast was average - although there was an egg station the variety and quality of the products in the buffet could be better. Overall I really liked the place and will surely stay here again.

Friendly and helpful staffs and very pleasant stay”

I immediately sensed a good stay when the 1st thing i received was a friendly smile from the chinese male staff who checked me in. The room was clean and huge. Tea and coffee was readily available. Received newspaper each morning. Flat screen tv with good channels. It also comes with a hairdrier. Parking is also free of charge. I had booked the hotel inclusive of breakfast and Ive forgotten that it was during Ramadhan(fasting month for muslims) so i thought ive wasted my money but i was surprised that the hotel provided sahur (food prepared for consuming before sunrise) for muslim customers. I only had issues connecting to the wifi that is provided free of charge but after i informed the malay lady staff at the reception just before i went out on the 1st night, the issue was solved when i got back to my room later that night and it doesnt cause me any problem after that. Another issue that is lacking is the security of the hotel. I was able to come in and out of hotel and even take the lift at any time without anyone stopping me at the entrance cause i didnt see any security personel for the 2 nights that i have stayed in. Overall ive had a pleasant stay and i would definitely stay at the same hotel if i ever visit Petaling Jaya again. Thank you to all the staffs for making my stay a pleasant and wonderful time.

Great Hotel”

despite its location, crystal hotel is a really nice place to stay for those who are on vacation or work. my room was quite spacey and the bed was pretty good. they also offered free wireless internet connection for every room and in the lobby (although they charge rm30 for the wifi in the cafe). but overall, it is really a nice place to stay and i will surely come back here next time i need a hotel near pj

Comfortable but nothing outstanding ”

We needed to attend some event near the hotel so the location was for us the reason why we choose to stay at the Crystal Crown. If you need a hotel in Petaling Jaya the Crystal Crown is good. However if you want to go to KL I would rather stay in KL then in PJ. Rooms are ok although the aircon was a bit noisy. Surrounding is very quiet and overall our stay was ok.

Wonderful Experience”

It was the 1st time we stayed in Crystal Crown, and since the moment we check-in, it was smooth all the way. We were placed at Level 16, where it has it owns Breakfast Place, so we did not need to go down for food. The kids love the room and the place is ideal and near to AmCorp Mall. Will stay there again definitely.

Excellent Hotel for stay in Petaling Jaya”

We booked this hotel for 2 nights to attend an event in PJ. I have always passed by this hotel and decided to stay here for the price and convenience. It is close to many eateries within a 2 km drive. And it is also easy to get to, it is just off the Federal Highway. The room was basic but it was clean and very pleasant. Internet was good. However, the was not iron/ironing board which housekeeping has to bring up. The ironing board was a table top version and the legs was broken. The iron's steam function was not working. I realize that many hotels in KL does not have good working irons. Car parking was fine although you need to validate using your touch and go card. Would I stay again. Sure, it was convenient and value for money. But please update your irons and ironing board.

Good short stay”

Hotel & Location: Great 1 night stay for us to be as closest possible to UM Medical Centre in Petaling Jaya. Quite old & old-fashioned-looking hotel lobby, but newly refurbished room & corridor making it looks almost new and modern. Room: Our room was the last one down the corridor and very quiet as requested via email. Very clean, simple modern room. Quite nice view from room overlooking PJ old town. Fast WIFI too. The only downside were; the Switch-board inside wardrobe was left uncovered, and empty fridge. Pool: Very small & simple pool, towel need to be requested from Housekeeping via phone provided at the pool and will be delivered to you.

A pleasant and quiet hotel. It is good for rest and family recreation, away from the hustle and bustle of hectic city life. Recommendable to friends from far and wide. Good transport to other shopping centres. It has also easy access to host's premises and to nearby shopping centres at Section 14, Petaling Jaya.

Nice And Clean Hotel”

Good and comfortable hotel. Staying here for one night. Check in was easy. Room was big and clean. Location near to Kuala Lumpur. Unfortunate for me, the guy next door was having a party. Noise insulation level could be better. Complimentary Wifi was good. Breakfast was just normal. Should add more variety to it.

really need to thank to all chef in this hotel to prepare so delicious breakfast daily especially dim sum. suggest to increase variety of the dim sum. A really big room with bright light but the bath room was flooding each time I bath, please improve your sanitation system. car park no enough during weekday, need to add. Good wifi system even in room (my room located at the end of the hotel, but signal still stable). last, check in and check out were fast. for those who love to enjoy good breakfast and need to free online, Crystal crown is your choice.

I enjoyed my stay at Crystal Crown because the room is comfortable, and spacious. The room is well stocked and toilet is clean and well kept. The price is reasonable, the breakfast is really very good and they offer both Asian and Western breakfast. There is a very good shopping center not too far from the hotel. The Japanese restaurant is very nice and price is reasonable.

Good value for money”

i booked the crown floor room which is at the highest floor of the hotel. the room was good and comfy. the toilet is clean. you get a complimentary high tea at the executive lounge, but you have to come early as the food is quite limited. the breakfast is excellent. there are different types of foods you can choose and all of it are delicious. the staff was friendly when asked for assistance. the bad thing about this hotel is the parking lot. the parking space is quite limited for the hotel guest. it was still under construction during my stay and some parking lot were closed. you can park your car at the porch, but you have to pay RM12.00 per day.

Near the University of Malaya...but far from the nightlife and decent restaurants.”

I had business at the University of Malaya, and this place was real close to it (cost me about RM 5-7 per trip there). Two things i was disappointed about, though. First, the Brass Cafe that was located at the ground floor seemed pretty nice at first. But my wife had a misunderstanding with the head guy at the time regarding the amount of money she paid for one breakfast. In other words, she was short-changed (my wife handed a RM 100 as payment, but they thought she only gave a RM 50 bill). It got to a point where my wife asked them to check the CCTV, but unfortunately, the restaurant could not verify/debunk with their in-house CCTV, offering instead to give back the proper change (she only ate a meal costing RM 23) In the end they decided to give the proper change right there and then. Poor CCTV facilities and the waiters/waitresses have extremely poor communication skills. The second issue, albeit a minor one, is the level of hospitality emanating from the concierge. One would probably give it a 4 out of 10. If you're sensitive about these things, it might ruin your day. But due to its distance from the University, as well as the decent bathroom and air-conditioning, it'll do (for quick businesses in KL, at the Petaling Jaya district).
