Beskidt og lousy værelse men fin beliggenhed og skøn pool”
Værelset var virkelig dårligt og luftede fælt af mug. Meget beskidt, ingen rengøring de dage vi var der, og mange myrer. Hårde senge med sengetøj der var hullet og plettet. Håndklæderne lugtede også af mug. Til gengæld ligger stedet fint lige op til Nationalparken i smukke omgivelser. Poolen er dejlig og ligger med flot udsigt til junglen.

There are several different types of rooms and bungalows, situated at the river bank, in a large green garden, together with a nice little pool with good deck chairs. It's just at the entrance to the national park, all tours and transport can be booked here as well. Rooms are clean, the cheapest ones (fan) a bit dated, but good value. Staff is friendly, and the restaurant is nice with a terrace right at the creek (food is OK, but there are better options in town). On the negatives, hot water didn't work in the first room, but changing the room was no problem (better if they checked and fixed it first). Room next to the forest and the river means you will see ants and maybe spiders (didn't see monkeys though). If that's a problem for you, perhaps the ac rooms are better suited. Wifi is good, but no internet at all on one of the three days I stayed here.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOSTEL”
They falsely advertise rooms as having air con, the rooms are INFESTED with biting red ants and mosquitos - the owner squared up to me and tried to hit me when I asked to cut our stay short by one night! We booked the 'superior double room' which clearly stated on the room details as having air con, we found out when we arrived that it did not, the room was also swarming with every kind of insect you can imagine - I have stayed in 20+ budget hostels so I am not being picky/dramatic either! We showed the staff what we had booked and that it showed the room as having air con, they essentially laughed and said that we could get air con for 500 Baht a night. A couple arrived on the same bus as, they had booked the same room type and had the same problem - they ended up booking a completely different hostel. The guy behind the desk in the hostel was extremely aggressive and rude. As we were getting nowhere, we asked if we could cut our 3 night stay short by a night and just leave Kaoh Sok early which they eventually agreed to. They man behind the counter asked if we could return the next evening and he would refund us one nights stay BUT ONLY IF WE GAVE HIM A 5* REVIEW! When we returned the next evening he initially pretended he had no idea what I was talking about and then said he would only partially refund us. He repeatedly mocked me, kept on asking where I was from, he said that I must be poor to be asking for a refund and that I should not have come to Thailand if I had no money. He then cane out from behind the counter, got in my face and raised his fist to me, only stopping as two guests walked in. Apart from the disgusting service, the other issues were: -room was generally filthy -cigarette butts on the floor -faulty fan that let off sparks in the middle of the night -worst insect infestations I have ever seen -no air con as advertised -awful smell of drains from shower -no mosquito covers on windows -filthy mosquito net with holes in it -visibly dirty bed linen

Never again!”
The lady in the reception offered us to change rooms the next day closer to the pool.She also said we could leave our luggage at the reception the next morning and the new room would be ready when we got back from our daytrip.We booked a tour in their restaurant the same day.The guy working there told us its a family business.He said we could leave our luggage in his house (next to restaurant).He took our key.When we came back from the tour the lady in the reception got super mad.They didn't have a room ready for us, since we left our luggage and the key at the restaurant.She also went crazy when we told her we booked our tour with the guy from the restaurant and not her.They managed to fix us a new room but never apologized.next morning we wanted to leave the key for cleaning.She didn't want our room to be cleaned and was extremely rude.She kept shouting:"You go to him (guy from restaurant) and not me!!" We decided to leave 2 days earlier because of the way they treated us. Terrible!

Amazing place, horrible receptionist!”
Let me start with the only negative... The receptionist where you check in snd out. Her name is Jang or Jung. (Girl with very long fingernails). I have never met a more condescending, rude and unfriendly Thai person in my life (!) and I’ve been to Thailand many times. I stayed at this place twice and at my first check out I asked her, as friendly as possible, why she was not friendly with me. She did not answer but just rolled her eyes at me, clearly annoyed. On the second time I checked out, no eye contact, no hello, nothing. When she gave me back my deposit she said thank you in a tone which made me say: sure! And just made some hissing sounds at me. My resonse: hissed back and said: same to you B**ch! Never in my life! This aside! Rest of the staff, great! Very nice, friendly, helpfull... you name it! Beautiful resort. Great pool. Nice restaurant by the river. Bungalows, roomy and clean. On the door step of Khao Sok national park. Great place, if they would fire the receptionist!

Location is very good,near the waterfall that make me feel comfortable,the room very dirty,no air condition but the weather is cool ,I think should cleaning the room and give more facility that good for 600 baht. The staff isn't kind

Relaxing jungle hangout ”
Chose this property after a sub par experience at a hostel just up the road. Shared with two other solo travellers. Three single beds, A/C, mini fridge, covered porch out front. The pool was lovely for a lazy afternoon of lounging before setting up a 2 day/1 night tour at the floating bungalows in the park. Set up the tour through the restaurant on the property, as well as all transportation. Overall, excellent stay and I would certainly come back in the future.

Could be nice, but no one takes care...”
We arrived in the evenings after a 6 hours trip.. The website did not tell us to pay the hotel in cash, so we didn't have enough money.. cards aren't accepted. As we were brought to our hut, we were isolated by our luggage and had to take it later with us (the personal does not always think about the steps.. very uncoordinated). We have booked a Superior Hut, but as we arrived, the personal at the reception told us, that ALL rooms are the same. Aha? Why did we need to pay the double price?? The room is a small simple hut in the garden, we had a dirty bed and there were dead flys and other insects in the room...i think they kill them, but are not motivated enough to clean everything?! Couldn't sleep the hole night because there were animals coming into the hut... e.g. geckos... Nice animals, but we wanted to sleep alone. As we complained about the dirt, they just laughed about us and wanted to clean the room... but the dead flys are still on the walls. Would never book it again for this price. Never.

Excellent location at the entrance of the National Park, and beautiful surroundings with the river running below our room. Staff were incredibly helpful and we were very happy with the lake tour we booked with them. Enjoyed the luxury of having a pool to dip into!

Quite a mixed bag here, folks. The guy that seems to run the restaurant and who you book tours through is great, the trip to the lake and the caves is amazing but thats sort of where it ends with this place. I showed up and they didnt have the room I booked so I got a place that had a bathroom covered in ants, that had a refrigerator that didnt work and that was not even looked at whike I was there. I said something about the ants and just got a couple nods from the girl behind the counter. I had no interest in watching TV but if I had the one in my room didnt work anyway.

Disappointment ”
Overall this place didn't leave a good impression. When we arrived it seems like they were not expecting us and assigned us to what seemed to us, the worst room they had. It was a river view bungalow (standard triple room with Fan). It was dirty, the sheets had mosquitos and ants, the bathroom hadn't been cleaned at all. The walls didn't even make a 90 degree angle with the floor!! But somehow it had a TV and good wifi (without fulfilling the basic requirements such as cleanliness and comfort). Luckily for the second night they changed us to a better room, with AC and proper walls. Do not stay in this basic room.
