I love Dormy Hotels”
I've stayed numerous times at Dormy Hotels in Japan during my last 5 visits and I have never been disappointed...The staff is uniformly professional and polite and go out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. And the onsens are awesome especially for a traveler from abroad . Onsens are the ultimate cure for jet lag after traveling 14 hours by air. Also I always take advantage of the massage services ( a shout out for Yuka in Kyoto-I believe a therapeutic massage after traveling half way around the world is a must and Yuka and all the other masseuses at Dormy are world class...Even the fact that you have laundry machines available for guest is so thoughtful. And the complimentary ramen in the evening is wonderful . The rooms are clean and beds very comfortable . Reasonable price, has everything you need for”
The hotel literally has every thing you need for trip. Amenities ( hair brush, tooth brush, tooth paste, Q-tip, shaver, slippers, hair dryer, multi-charger, etc.), they are new not used ones. You can get free Japanese style noodle in the evening time, also a glass of draft beer as well! The room is small but clean and cozy. The bed was comfortable,too. At the reception, the hoteliers speak English which was so rare in Kumamoto. Natural hot spring water spa on the 13th floor was great after a long day walking. I think it's the best hotel you can ask for wirh this price.

Good reasonably priced hotel with nice hot spring”
Very pleased with the hotel. Arrived earlier than the check-in time. Our luggages were placed properly in our rooms upon checking in later. Good pricing, decent size, clean room. I like the Onsen which is clean. Get a free beer and hot soba after the hot bath.

Great location and fabulous service”
This hotel is right outside the main bus terminal and in proximity to lots of restaurants and shops. The room was quite big for Japanese standards and the bed was very comfortable. Also, the hotel offers a fantastic onsen, with inside and outside pools. Make sure to try their complimentary noodles, they were so tasty!!!

I stayed this hotel during my holiday trip to Kyushu. This hotel is located walking distance from Kumamoto station. Hot spring bathes were clean and very comfy. Small but very clean room. I enjoy staying any Dormy Inn in JP , and this one is not the exception for sure.

I LOVE KUMAMOTO”
Dormy Inn is a great all-round hotel. The trip getting to the hotel itself from Kumamoto train station was a lovely walk (if your'e travelling light) along the river. Otherwise quickly accessible via tram or bus. The hotel itself is directly across from a very large bus depot (so if you're planning to bus to Takachiho as part of your trip, highly recommend staying here). Adjacent a shopping complex, close the the castle, and the staff and locals are some of the friendliest we experienced in Japan.

Love this hotel very much, it’s very modern and new, the onsen is clean and the public bath area is awesome! Overall, I love this hotel and we had a good sleep there, comfortable bed also. Strongly recommended.

Kumamoto Comfort”
What a lovely surprise in the heart of Kumamoto! While the rooms are what you’d expect - clean, cosy and maybe a little small, but perfect for a night or two - it’s the extra touches that bring it to life. A free bowl of ramen for supper, free-flow coffee and tea all-day, an unexpectedly lovely hot springs bath and rotenburo, and, of course, a location just minutes from Kumamoto Castle and the Shimotori Shopping Arcade. If you’re driving, parking costs 1000 yen a night; it’s great automated parking, however, so maybe not so much of a downside. The bus and train terminals are also just a few minutes’ walk away, so really, there’s nothing not to like!

Queen room is larger than our expectation. We loved it. Room is clean, staffs are nice and speak good English. Location is convenient, just 5 minutes walk to the new shopping center Sakuramachi.

The room was small but nice and clean. But this isn't my first time in Japan at all. So to me this has been typical when it comes to Japan 3 star hotels. The hot spring bath was really nice. And its less than a 3 minute walk from the night life, shopping and eating area mall right across the street.

Love the onsen”
I really like this hotel's onsen. We can get rid our tiredness after travelling by soaking into the hot pool. Room is standard, but clean. They provide free ramen after 9pm every night, free tea and coffee as well at the lobby. Location wise just a few step from bus station sakuramachi and few hundred meters from tram stop.

First Trip alone”
I was hesitating to stay here alone. There is no single room, but other facility attract me finally. Actually, it is second time to visit this hotel in KUMAMOTO (2017 stayed :)) Really great time as well. SPA, SOBA and others are quite good to me. I really recommend this hotel once you are with other people, especially. The price is not bad and location is not so bad and all staffs are quite kind. See you soon again !
