Lovely new hotel”

The Premium Dormy Inn in Namba (not to be confused with the "non premium" dormy inn in namba) is a lovely new hotel, very centrally located. Walking distance to Nipponbashi metro station and the main shopping street in Osaka. The hotel has free noddle from 9.30-11.30pm, coffee and soft drinks all day. The hot spring spa is meant to be great (even though I didn't manage to attend it). The rooms have a lovely design, even though on the small side (but that is to expected). Note that the AC (cooling) is centrally controlled so it could get literally quite steamy in the room after 2 people have had a shower and the windows do not open (or we couldn't work them out). It is a the pricier side, however the location and style compensates for the price. All in all a great hotel.

We stayed 3 days here.thrn had to go to tokyo. We were very impressed by the staff and the location so when we came back to choose another 2 days for osaka it was an easy choice to pick this hotel again.when we go back to japan I will definitely pick this hotel. Be sure to choose the PREMIUM version of this hotel chain as it's different to standard dormy inn.unless you are a 5 star traveller I can't see anything that is bad about this hotel. Well done and thank you to all the staff at dormy inn premium osaka.

Brand new hotel with a nice hot spring inside”

We booked the hotel basically because of the central location and as it offered one of the Japanese hot springs within the hotel area for free. The rooms are a little small (guess that's normal for Japan) but super handy. All we needed was in place, even an universal charger for Ipad, Samsung etc. WIFI was for free and superfast, no annoying logon process at all. Me and my girlfriend felt very comfortable and relaxed in our room. The hotel itself is pretty new and located 10min walk from JR Namba station which is a good connection to the Airport. From the hotel just a 5 minute walk and you are in Dontoburi area with lots of restaurants and a little further a nice shopping street, offered all you might be interested. We have had an amazing weekend in Osaka and because we liked the Hotel so much decided to pay for a day longer (Japan doesn't know late check out)instead for further sightseeing, have a relaxing day until we have to take off for our night flight. We really just can recommend that place!

Nice Service”

Luggage storage available after checkout that makes everything more convenient. Hotel location is extremely strategic, as it is only 7-10 minutes away from train station, around 6 minutes away from Dontoburi Street, 11 minutes away from Hozenji Yokocho and a few more attractions in Osaka! Other than that, the hot spring here is zen and relaxing, and there is also sauna here! Hot spring is also open on midnight, thus it's the best place to go after sightseeing in Osaka. There is Family Mart just beside the hotel, thus it's convenient to get a quick supper. The hotel room itself is also quite spacious, and the bathroom and toilet are seperated. The price of the hotel is also affordable after taking into account of all these!

Strategic, helpful staff and packed with facilities!”

Awesome stay at Dormy.. we love EVERYTHING offered here. Strategic place close from shinsaibashi, family mart just beside the hotel entrance, and hotel guest have dedicated access straight to family mart. We love the free ramen, coffee and green tea that offered at 9 pm - 11 pm. The public bath also wonderful.. The hotel also have shuttle service to namba station starting from 8 am, last time we need to check out earlier and the hotel staff really helpful to help us find taxi in front of the hotel at 6 am. We re looking forward to stay here again next time we visit osaka.

Great hot spring hotel, will stay here again!”

Great hot spring in the hotel, we used it right after we checked in when there was no one, so it was really quiet and peaceful. I was really surprised and happy with the hotel's facilities. There's a free lounge where you can drink coffee and tea. Although the room was small (typical japanese hotel room size), we didn't have any issue packing 1 big luggage and 1 small carry on luggage. I read some bad reviews that their bathroom had a weird smell so i was bit worried but luckily our bathroom didn't have any smell. From Nankai namba station we walked to the hotel but on the way back we used the free shuttle bus from the hotel. The counter staff could be little bit more friendly but overall we enjoyed our 2 nights at this hotel. If you love hot spring I recommend this hotel, I'll definitely come back and stay here again!

Not as good as before”

I first stayed at Dormy Inn Premium Namba when it first opened. It used to be very good. Our stay this time is a little disappointing. First of all, this is the first time that I stayed at a hotel without a “do not disturb” sign in the room. This does not seem to be a big issue, as I called the front desk and told them I do not need housekeeping, but a simple signage is very basic for any hotel. They used to have fabric freshener in the room, but they have removed it. Also, the hot spring (which is a huge selling point for this hotel), is so crowded that you do not want to stay there. My wife was having a difficult time waiting for a bathing station because other guests are occupying the station with their personal belonging. She was in the hot spring for 3 mins and left because it was just not enjoyable. For the price you are paying for this hotel, it is definitely money not worth it.

Dormy Inn's location is optimal if you want to explore Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi. Rooms are always clean! Love the hot spring option for guests. After a long day of walking and sight seeing, it's a good option to relax. Food spread at breakfast is superb! I've stayed this more than 3 times, and will be staying again in a couple of week's time. So looking forward to my stay again.

Suggest if wanna stay in this hotel you can use shuttles bus from airport to the nearest place (Doton Plaza) and walk about 3mins to Dormy Inn Premium Namba hotel.

Nice Natural Hot Spring”

Rare hotel with natural hot spring at city centre, some walks from Namba Station, save walking route to airport, few minutes walk Nagahoribashi Station, took the subway Sakaishuji Line to Tengachaya and transfer to Nankai Main Line, the fastest n safe walking route if go by train to airport.

Unexpectedly good hotel”

The room in japanese hotel is usually super tiny. But, the room in dormy inn is unexpectedly large. We were able to open two large suitcases at the same time, and still able to move around. It is close to Dontonbori, where u can shop and dine till midnight. They offer tasty noodles for free after 9pm and also provide free shuttle from hotel to namba nankai station! We really didn’t expected they offer so much for this price.

Best hotel in mid range”

we loved every minute of our stay at Dormy. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants great value for money.Location was very convenient to Dotonburi, subways and various eateries. The staff were very warm in welcoming guests and very polite as well. Facilities provided at the hot spring and laundrette were amazing. Breakfast was superb and providing the hot bowl of ramen every night (FOC) was excellent especially during winter months when you return from you shopping, sight seeing and all you want is something to warm you up.Will definitely stay at Dormy again.

Comfortable medium size hotel”

As always Dormy Inn Premium provides you with above average room compared to most Japanese hotels. Although the rooms only have showers, the hotel provides a bath house facility on the 2nd floor. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The location is also quite convenient.

A good hot spring hotel in the city”

we are happy to stay there as a in-city hot spring hotel, walk 5 mins to station, have free noodle from 9-11pm, in the morning U can take shuttle to Namba station! Also if u have a car, u can park at the opposite side of the hotel and only ¥2500 per day! For sure will back and stay again next time if I visit osaka

Great as usual!!”

This is my 3rd or 4th time staying at this particular Dormy Inn. It is AMAZING as usual. The friendliness of staff, cleaniness of hotel and quality of hotel service were always kept high and excellent!! I would recommend Dormy Inn to anyone travelling to Osaka.

Exceptional”

This is a good place to stay if you would like to experience and if you enjoy the hustle bustle of the Dotonbori city life, which we personally did not quite enjoy it (streets were dirty, people were generally loud and less courteous). Lucky for us, we were able to look forward to have a good night sleep in Dormy Inn and the main plus point would be the onsen facility - it is clean, well kept, cosy landscape for both indoor and outdoor bath and shampoo/ body wash: cleanser were all provided for :) Room is small but comfortable enough and the hotel is connected to a Family Mart. Location is central - 15 mins walk to the train station to Kansai airport (around 35 mins train ride to airport).

A very pleasant stay”

This is my 2nd time staying at a Dormy Inn hotel. The first one was in Tokyo. On both occasions I enjoyed the hospitality, cleanliness and completeness of the services. Not to mention the yummy nightly ramen supper! I only have one disappointment as we were unable to use the onsen. We were unaware until we arrived at the hotel (actually at the doorway of the onsen room) that people with tattoos (including tattoo stickers!) were not allowed in the onsen. It was not stated on their website or even the booking sites. Whilst I know this is a common practice in Japan and respect the taboo, it would have been better if we had known about the prohibition earlier to avoid the sudden disappointment.

Wonderful hot spring on 2 nd floor made stay relaxing. Women's side needs pin code to enter. Men's side room key provides entrance. Tops, pants in size L and slippers provided to wear throughout facilities. Wonderful breakfast from 6:30 a.m. Priced at 1500 yen. Rooms and floor hallways tastefully decorated. Instructions in English describing wifi, use of hot spring, how to operate mini fridge and air conditioner. Area surrounding hotel is safe, even saw police on the corners. Convenience stores next door and across the street.

love the place, will definally stay here again”

This hotel is such a nice place to stay. In the center of the city close to the shopping and dinning area. Everything are walking distance no need to even take the metro. Free hot spring and late night noodle. Free shuttle to the namba station in the morning. There's staff with different language skills on site. They are all so friendly to help with all your needs. alot of restaurant open 24 hours around the area or they close 4 or 5 in the morning. so no worry abou the food problem at all.
