Fantastic value for money”
We stayed 2 nights, this being our second Dormy Inn experience (Nagano was the first). For our future visits to Japan, our first research for accommodation will now always be a Dormy Inn. The rooms are comfortable and very clean with great accessories - hotel slippers, and pajamas (designed to be comfortably worn throughout the hotel) and everything you could possibly want in your bathroom. An extra bonus is the bowl of noodles in the evening available from 9.30 -11.00. But the crowning glory is the onsen/sauna/plunge pool. Very spacious, wel designed with an indoor and outdoor pool. The cleanest onsens I have been in. The temperature is perfect - and if you need more heat, the sauna can provide that. If you are a non-smoker, be sure to ask for a non-smoking room. Being Japan, this is something you need to be aware of wherever you go.

Best hotel ever ”
I was considering this particular hotel with another nearby otaru canal (newer hotel). I have made the right choice to choose this hotel because it was so convenient that bus stop and train station was located at the opposite! The hotel breakfast was great with a lot of choices- unlimited sashimi, tuna and tempura. If I were to come otaru again this hotel will be my only choice. They have very good onsen (indoor and outdoor). A must stay in this hotel when you visit otaru. The cleanliness of the hotel was too notch and their carpet look as compared to the carpet in the photo.

Good hotel with very convenient location in front of train station”
As the title stated, all we have to do is just cross the street and you're there. The room that we got (twin room / 2 twin beds) was very comfortable and quite spacious compared other hotels with similar price in Japan. Staff are very friendly and helpful with good English speaking skill. We arrived too early to check-in, but the staff let us keep our luggage in the hotel securely until check-in time. If I can say one minus point, it's the buffet breakfast. Even though it looked lavish, it was too expensive for what you'll get and not too tasty. Also, the queue line can be very long to wait if the hotel is at high capacity.

One of the best stays in my entire Japan trip ”
Considered the price, this is one of the best stays in my entire trip (it’s the third time I visit Japan). They were so nice offering a free upgrade for my room. Our room was pretty spacious. The onsen was pretty amazing and the facilities are up to date. They offered free ramen at night. It’s definitely real satisfying. The breakfast in the morning was real impressive, the huge range of food and the quality (they offered real high quality milk, egg, marinated fishes, side dishes, and the free flow seafood don) are real impressive, it’s up to par to a $250 USD per night hotel. But their prices are 50% less. It’s real with the money and I have nothing to complain about

Perfect Choice”
It's just across from the station! The hot springs (indoor and outdoor) were fantastic albeit you can hear the traffic when you're at the outdoor one. Great amenities there. Free ice lolly at night, free yogurt drink in the morning (get them in the Resting Room across from the onsen entrance). Also, there's free ramen at night too! The only downside for me was the internet. I was on the 10th floor but the internet was so weak it kept disconnecting. The parking isn't free as well but it's discounted. Overall, I had a great time relaxing in the bath and the room itself. Would book again but would request a room with better internet connection next time.

Everything is perfect!”
- Location is just in front of JR Otaru station, Although it's a little bit far from the tourist attraction but it's great to stay near JR so that it's easier when you go to the next city. - Staff, Cleanliness is as standard - Public bath is wonderful. It's big enough with stylish decoration and also there is outdoor zone too. - Our room we selected is small compare with staying for 2 people but aim of lowest price so we selected it ourself. If you want a bigger room, they have an offer to you too. Overall I thing it's all great and the most reasonable between price and quality hotels I can find in the city

Unbelievable breakfast”
Hotel is in a great location right outside JR Otaru Station and a few minutes walk to Otaru Canal where you can stroll along the street and see all the different glassware. Breakfast at the hotel is unbelievable as you can make your own chirashi sushi don. The night snack of free ramen is also very good. It was well worth the price we paid. So close to Don Quijote which is right across the street, and also a very good Izakaya or bar/tavern. I would definitely stay there again in the future. A short train ride also to the Nikka Whiskey facility where you can imbibe in free shots of good Japanese liquor.

O wanted to try capsule hotel. And I did it there. Only a few in this large hotel. Very quiet area in the building. Good lay out. Very clean. Friendly staff. Great onsen. And perfect location in front of the JR station. Very good value for money !

Amazing place to stay in Otaru”
It's my second visit to Otaru and Dormy Inn is the highlight during the trip. Location of the hotel is extremely convenient, just opposite to the Otaru JR station and shopping centre of Otaru. So you don't need to worry if you did a lot of shopping in Sapporo or wanna buy more in Otaru. The room is pretty spacious for 2 people, there is enough space for large suitcases. Onsen of the hotel is much better than most city hotels and free ramen in the late night gives you another reason to stay! Definitely would recommend this hotel to all my friends.

I love all the "Dormy Inn" in Japan. And Otaru Dormy Inn is favorite. The location is good, the food is good, staffs are nice and helpful at all. 2 mins walk from the train station. The hotel can keep your luggage before check in after check out There are 激安 nearby. Restaurant all around the hotel. This hotel is perfect for me.

Hotel is opposite JR station, next to it there's Don Don Donki + Daiso + supermarket for groceries shopping. Hotel stall can speak English, friendly. They provide free flow of coffee, free ramen every night , and hot spring included. A bit of walking distance to Otaru Canal but we enjoy seeing the scenery along the way. There's multiple-head phone charger and humidifier in room. We will surely come back to this hotel again if we were to visit Otaru again...

Nice hotel”
A comfortable hotel located right next to otaru station. Parking fee was 1200en till 11am and then 200en per hour afterwards. Room is relatively small but the location is quite convenient. Free ramen at night. But is quite far away from the otaru canal.

Surprising & Excellent Value”
Stayed in the public dorm (capsules), but could use the hotspring facilities as well. Plenty of other unexpected small amenities such as ice-cool pillows, chill-bag with ice-packs, free ramen, free washing (only dryer need to pay 100yen), etc. available for all guests. Great location as well, as directly opposite JR Otaru Station. Best accomodation of my trip to Hokkaido this time (among 6 others), and it's the 3rd cheapest!

Perfect location and service standard is consistent”
Couldn't ask for a better location as hotel is just a short walk across the Otaru train station. We have stayed in several Dormy Inns in Japan and the service standard has been very consistent! The free ramen served at 9.30pm every night is a bonus for anyone who needs a simple supper after shopping or onsen. Will always look forward to stay again in this hotel chain!

Fantastic hotel in convenient location”
Hotel is conveniently located across the road from the Otaru train and bus stations. If you have tattoos you won’t be able to use the onsen (public bath). Gorgeous indoor and ‘outdoor’ onsen areas. They have free laundry (washing machine + detergent is free). Drier is 100 Y for 20 min. They serve free ramen in their restaurant from 9.30pm.

Good value hotel compared to other old expensive hotels”
Room is very small but everything else is excellent. Modern and clean. Breakfast was truly excellent Unexpectedly. They provide a good quality of kaisen dong (Bowl of rice topped with sashimi) that is famous in this town. I didn’t go to restaurant to try (usually costing 30-40 dollar). It’s a small portion but it’s good enough for tasting. Good surprise. The best one is the laundromat available in the spa area. While you do the onsen spa you can also do your laundry. What a great idea!!! Loved it.

Right opposite the train station and famous fish market. Breakfast may need to queue at peak time (7-8) but moves fast. Yes you will get the unlimited roe for breakfast here ! Onsen is small though gets crowded at times (think: queue for showers) but better than not having a hot soak. PS: Famous fried spring chicken also available in the station !

Love this hotel. Opposite Otaru Station. Visible from exit of Otaru Station. Only cross a road. Nice onsen. Nice complementary ramen (serve every 9.30pm). 8 mins walk to Otaru Canal. 15 mins walk to street where you can find Steam Clock, Music Box, Kitaichi Glass and famous dessert store (Letao...). Friendly and helpful staff.

Husband especially loves the hot spring. Nice and friendly staff. We have view of station, which is very nice. Good location for market food, and 15 min walk to river. Breakfast is marvelous. Free noodle is also our favorite. Definitely recommend for any who will go to Otaru for holiday.
