Nice Retreat”

If you are looking for a hotel away from the busy and expensive Hua Hin center, then the Dune hotel is for you. The hotel has only about six rooms which are perfect for a romantic couple getaway. The hotel has its own beach which again is nice for privacy. The room is new and very clean. Our room had a bathtub, separate shower, very large TV with cable. It is advisable to keep the bathroom door open to get airflow, one of the few minor design flaws. However, by leaving the door open, there is adequate cool air flow. The view of the ocean is obstructed by coconut trees so I hope the owner is reading the reviews to prune the overgrowth a bit. Be sure to ask to use the big pool next door because the roof top pool is too small for swimming. The breakfast included in the package is very good and the staff is awesome. Overall, the 8.4 rating is justified and worthy of a revisit when I am in the area again.

Excellent Hotel @ Hua Hin”

I booked the Dune Suite , which is their highest category of rooms , it comes with a private pool and a large bathtub. There is a double shower head whereby you can shower together with your partner if you want to. Super romantic if you are travelling as a couple. The staffs there have very good service and they are really friendly. We also tried their dinner on the rooftop restaurant which is served decent food and the view is pretty as well. The rooms are really clean and nice. The only bad thing is that there's no elevator so climbing the stairs for breakfast and rooftop restaurant is a little tiring. There's also a lot of mosquitos in the room but the staffs there tried their best to get rid of the mosquitos for us. Overall, it was a pleasant stay at Dune Hua Hin. My hubby and I really enjoyed staying there. P.S , travelling there is really quite expensive if you take taxi. One destination can cost about 300-500 baht so I would suggest just booking a car for the whole day.

Great boutique hotel”

stayed in the Dune Suite for 3 days over a weekend. well designed room full of all mod cons (flat screen, dvd player, i-pod dock etc etc). private pool good for cooling off but don't expect to swim lengths in it (or in the main pool for that matter). the suite is on the ground floor but has its own private entrance and a retractable canopy which means you can relax unobserved by the pool if you wish. we took breakfast by the pool in the suite but you can have it in the restaurant if you so wish. the hotel is not right on the beach (it is 50 metres down the lane) and there is a bit of a jump down to the beach. at high tide, there is no beach. situated in a quiet area of Hua Hin but a number of restaurants are within walking distance. the front desk can order a tuk tuk to take you into the main part of town (as parking is a hassle in the centre). secure parking available next door. roof top bar (but can be chilly at night).

Great spot”

This was our fifth time in Hua Hin, however, the first where we have stayed close to town and in a boutique style hotel. DUNE has only five rooms and the total experience was just fantastic! Staff were attentive and extremely helpful and able to organise anything we needed. Room was great - very comfy bed and fabulous bathroom. The in-house restaurant was an absolute highlight. We felt like rock stars with our own chefs and cocktail staff - thank you Nuan and Nine - just fabulous!!!!

Focus attentive friendly boutique hotel”

Definitely will stay here if we are in hua hin again. No point in trying some other hotel by chance. Boutique hotel with only 5 rooms so the staff are focus on helping their guest. Personal order breaksfast with an excellent ocean view, non of the buffet breaksfast non sense. Excellent staff especially the restaurant staff. Well thought out room large and comfortable, well travelled members will know what I am talking about. If I have to point something out, the night reception staff's English isn't too good, might not get what you want the first try. So this hotel is definitely a 9.8, no question about it.

The room is clean and spacious as well as the private pool. We had our own privacy and really enjoyed ourselves. The staff are very friendly and hospitable towards us. They also shared and gave us travelling tips on where to visit too. It was a lovely place to stay with a piece of mind. Thank You Dune Hua Hin Hotel.

A real boutique hotel”

a real boutiue hotel with only 5 rooms, usually have more staff than guest at this hotel, food is excellent, ate almost every meal there, very nice rooftop with patio louge, serves really good cocktails, rooms are excellent, huge and very well furnished.Dune is tucked away from the main hua hin town, beach is just 2-3 mins walk from hotel, same hua hin beach but much less crowded.

Dune Hua Hin a Great Couples Getaway”

My wife and I's experience at Dune Hua Hin was excellent. The staff was exceptionally helpful, the breakfast was carefully prepared and delicious. The hotel just steps away from the beach, is very private -- perfect for a couple looking to get away from the city for a couple of days.

great boutique hotel close to centre”

very nice contemporary place. we booked the suite, which is on g/f level with separate entrance. great privacy, very well equipped room with great tv and stereo system and other amenities. very nice and big shower/toilet space. just about 5 minutes to town centre and in proximity of a lot of restaurants and beach. great food, top floor restaurant and bar with stunning view over the whole of hua hin.

Large room, modern bath, good location, excellent ”

lighting controls were confusing. tv channel selection was excellent, as was the i-phone dock and tv. breakfast was so-so but the bar and service were excellent. i stay in hua hin quite often and would highly recommend this hotel to friends

Small hotel but Big like”

Nice warm staff, quiet location not far from Hua Hin. Clean room with good maintain, Food was great and delicious, 2 swimming pools. This is good place for rest and we will be back for sure.

The location is very near to the Hua Hin town. And the pool villa room is amazing and very clean. The staff are very friendly and taking good care of us during our stay.

RELAXING, QUIET, BOUTIQUE HOTEL”

Very enjoyable, wish we could have stayed longer, rooms very quiet and comfortable, wonderful bed, staff very helpful and friendly, roof top bar great place to sit and relax with a cocktail in the evenings and the breakfast the next morning was fantastic. We will be back again, next time we go to Hua Hin.

Private and Exclusive”

The hotel is small and away from all the other hotels and resorts in the area so it feels very private and exclusive. The staff keep the rooms and the place very clean. We stayed in the suite with the private pool and the pool was clean for all 3 days we were there so we could dive in any time except at night as the lights were not working. The downside is that every thing is far away, so we needed to use Grab to get everywhere. We tried walking back from Hua Hin night market one of the nights and there were stray dogs running about so we do not recommend to walk back at night. The lobby and restaurant are not air conditioned so it can get pretty stuffy during check in/out and breakfast. Meals were great but the menu can get boring quickly as there are only limited items. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and recommended for those looking to just relax in the room especially the one with the private pool.

excellent hotel”

the hotel doesn't look like a great place to stay from the outside... however, once you get into the room you'll feel your money is well spent. the room is spacious and elegantly decorated. the breakfast is great and delicious. definitely will stay at dune again next time i go to huahin.

Great stay, though the swimming pool is quite smal”

We stayed at DUNE Suite and the room has just been renovated i think 'cause it looks slightly different from the photos. The swimming pool is a tiny bit smaller than we thought but sitting by the pool for breakfast is quite great. We like our privacy and the place gave us exactly that. The bathroom is quite big with great size bath tub. Great sound system, nice little espresso machine and such friendly staff. I like the place a lot though the room seems a bit pricey for the money spent.

Small memorable boutique”

A real boutique hotel on Hua Hin seaside road, not too far from the town centre. The rooms are well decorated and spacious. The bathroom is exquisite, spacious and luxurious. The only draw back would be the missing bathtub, but apart from that, the room leaves little to be desired.
