Very VERY friendly and well-trained staff. All were polite and kind and gave amazing service. Hotel is stunning!! Very very beautiful design, can be a tourist spot itself with how beautiful it is. Only 2 very trivial concerns: 1. relatively minimal lighting in room, quite dark for activities inside room at night 2. breakfast not that large variety Also, i went during construction period, so walking from room to lobby is very far and outside of hotel. despite concerns, overall very good and comfortable experience. would totally recommend.

Amazing experience overall!! Would definitely recommend!”
We stayed 2 nights in this hotel as our first stop on a recent trip to Thailand. The service was great from the start - we enjoyed the flowers and welcome drink and snack upon arrival. Given my jetlag I went to the gym at 6am the next morning and they opened the gym specifically for me without hesitation. The room was excellent. The hotel also had great facilities (the gym and the pool) and the breakfast was delicious with a lot of options for any dietary needs (gluten free, halal). The location is beautiful overlooking the river. We would definitely stay here again.

Wow! Best hotel I have ever stayed in!”
From the moment we arrived to the time we departed we were overwhelmed with the suite we stayed in and the staffs eagerness to please. The swimming pool was a great place to cool down and chill out. Breakfast was included and was plentiful. Could get anything from authentic Thai food to waffles and chocolate sauce We ate in the restaurant for one evening and it was the best meal we had while in Chiang Mai Great location for the Sunday night market and old city. We would love to stay here again

The cleanest and best service of any hotel I’ve ever stayed at the world. Service 1921 restaurant is amazing food. Staff is ridiculously attentive and nice. I wouldn’t recommend any other hotel in Chiang Mai to any of my friends or family. This hotel goes to 11.

I've been coming to Chiang Mai for many years and stayed at a wide range of hotels/resort. Anantara is the best place I have stayed, without doubt. Its a little pricey, but the great location on the river bank but within walking distance to the Night Bazaar, Old City and market areas, along with the attentiveness of the staff and the quality of the facilities make it a perfect spot. I would happily return. I have no complaints but would make one comment for improvement - the suite I stayed in was large but a little under lit, some additional lighting would help, but seriously, when that's your biggest complaint things have gone very well.

The staff are service here are fantastic - truly personal and warm. The small touches (choosing your bath soaps, for example) really add to the experience. The breakfast service is superb, with cooked-to-order meals and also buffet available to all guests. If you have time, consider having lunch in 1921, even though there are so many great options in CM! Rooms have been kept well, considering the property is not new and doesn't feel dated.
