This is my second time choosing this hotel .. My first experience also superb .. this hotel management is the best .. my stay previously having problems with the toilet .. they had offered me with 2 bed suite .. which is very² comfortable .. And this time I feel so damn lucky again & again... Due to festive season I had late check in .. the reception said their room full n upgrade me to the VVIP suite that really really turn my holiday to the most valuable & wonderful holiday .. I would like to thanks the hotel & the management for their kindness.. I might be lucky but few friends also sharing the same experience .. I will not going anywhere anymore whenever I am in Kuching .. this merdeka palace hotel & suites will be my utmost choose.. Cons : maybe due to festive season, only 1 person in charge at the front desk .. then the process taking time .. The breakfast is too simple.. n front desk informed kids count from 6 & above . While the cafe charged for 5 years kids .. a bit confusing there .. Anyway I'm having great stay n definitely will come back again.. Thanks merdeka villa .. I'm loving it

Excellent stay at the suites!”
This hotel is full of charm - both the building and the people alike. The hotel is beautiful. Art nouveau at its very best. The location is perfect, easy transport links yards from the entrance. We loved the suites! Loved the decor. It’s spacious and very clean. Also Thankful for staff at Merdeka Palace for the top and excellent service they extended during our 2 night stay at this suites. I would definitely stay here once again next time.

Very comfortable for big family”
I booked one suite (2 rooms, 3 bathrooms) for my family. It is a big suite. Very comfortable and spacious. Easy parking. Near to mall. Great view of building of Dewan Undangan Parlimen (Waterfront). In front of Padang Merdeka. Lucky to see live TV coverage during celebration of Hari Malaysia. Very recommended staying.

Exactly the same as i visited last 10 years”
merdeka has an classic exclusive high end feels, but it was exactly the same as i visited last 10 years ago. we were given an upgrade to suite room since we arrived late, as our flight touched down midnight, however, most of the appliances provided are old sets that were state of the art 15 years ago. staffs are all friendly and helpful. location was awesome as everything to look in Kuching city were just nearby. if merdeka palace were ever planning to give themselves an uplift, i will surely return to the place, as it holds dear memories to my late father

This is my husband's favourite hotel in Kuching. Best location, clean and good service from all the staffs especially Ms Lenora. Always so helpful, friendly and gives us great service. We will definitely recommend any friends or family who visit Kuching to stay in this hotel.

Location is so strategic”
Loving my stay here. The location is so strategic and close to many attractions such as the Kuching Waterfront, Indian Street and we even walked to Mee Kolok Haji Salleh! The staffs were friendly and hotel decorations are so beautiful, with a touch of vintage and classic elements. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to all, especially young travellers.

Even though this hotel may be a little tired it is in a great location. It has a pool and the staff are all very friendly. Lisa checked us in on arrival a d to our surprise we had an upgrade. We loved kuching so much we extended our stay four more days.

Everything is good. Aircond too cold during midnight. Hotel near to shopping mall and town. Easy to find food. Staff all friendly. Quick services. One of pillow quite hard. And the next room too noisy at night until morning, keep laughing and irritating. Overall a pleasant stay and cheap.

Everything is okay. Receptionist staff was vey helpful and also the housekeeping. But one of pool staff (woman) boleh dia teriak kami depan orang. Ya kalau salah pun jangan malukan kami as a guest macam tu. Tegur baikbaik. Kisahnya, kami main bola pool yang ringan plastik tu. Bukan main volleyball because we know the pool is not suitable, we just pass the ball. And we already read the rules on the wall. No rules said ball is not allowed. But that staff dia marah kami teriak. Ni kejadian petang. Waktu pagi kami ada swim and pool staff (man) saw us main bola tu but dia tak marah and just tegur yang laki kena bukak baju. Why on earth that woman staff yell at us like that ! Rude ! Malu kami. Tegur dengan elok. Thankyou.
