Very nice family owned resort , love this place . Perfect spot for a week relaxing at the pool , read a book or some activities of yr choice , kitchen perfect and you have the choice to follow to the market every morning to get fresh food that will be prepered to yr liking . Will come back

Exelent food”

We stayed at Ekmans for three nights. The owners were friendly and took us to a quiet beach, local market and to an interesting chicken temple nearby. During our four week tour in Thailand here we had absolutely best Thai-food.

Nice hotel”

We were going to Wat Chadi and the hotel is very close to that temple, but if you are not going there, it is far from everything. It's a lovely hotel and the staff is very nice. The beds were softer than the normal hard thai hotel beds, but not really soft ... Food was ok.

Home away from home”

We were welcomed with open arms. The food was wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. Anna and Staffan and the rest of the family treated us like family. If we wanted to go anywhere they not only arranged it for us but also took us there themselves It might not be 5 star luxury but it is clean and very comfortable and we would highly recommend it

Excellent hotel outside of the city”

This is a guest friendly place with staff that go out of their way to make you feel relaxed and comfortable. The hotel is quite away from the main city, but there are some beaches nearby and the hotel has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The pool and food are excellent and the room is comfortable.

Personal staff service, home feel”

I stayed in the hotel with a group of bikers for 3 nights and have a very enjoyable and pleasant stay. The owner and his wife even cooked us home styled meals. A very clean and comfortable resort place to relax.

Perfect hotel for rest & relaxation”

Although close to a main road, which makes it easy to reach local attractions, the resort is quiet and peaceful. The gardens can only be described as spectacular, and add to the sense of peace and relaxation. With ceiling to floor windows which slide open, the rooms are spacious and airy. Many of the best beaches in the region are only a short drive away, and the towns/airports of Nakhon Si Thammarat and Surat Thani can be reached easily. The restaurant can conjure a wide variety of Thai or Western meals, and breakfasts are large and enjoyable. The free wifi, which works throughout the hotel, is fast and reliable. Stay once, and, like me, you'll return many times.

Paradise Found”

ekman gardens is a paradise, a complete relief from the world at large. we stayed there in may 2012 during a family event and we wanted to stay somewhere peaceful, green and quiet with our young son. a warm welcome was first and foremost, the owners anna and staffan simply put themselves at their guests disposal for the duration. anna is an amazing chef and your every need will be attended to. ekman gardens is outside of the main city of nakhon si thammarat so you do need transport if you plan a longer stay, but my recommendation is to stay as long as you can - you won't find a better welcome or more hospitable hosts anywhere in thailand. the gardens are extensive with all sorts of little private spots and though we didn't have the time there is a private beach some 10 minutes walk away. life truly is a pleasure at ekman gardens. bravo!

nice little resort with friendly staff”

we really loved to stay there, although we were surprised how far away from everything the place is, which was out fault because of a lack of research. It's amazing, though, to explore the undeveloped beaches that can be reached by motorcycle from there.

Beautiful garden surrounding rooms. ”

Very friendly and hospitable owners. Lovely evening meals, though the continental breakfast was very disappointing. Small juice, cold toast - seconds were offered for the coffee and tea. Had an American breakfast and paid extra, but that was also disappointing considering the quality of the chef. A car is required otherwise it is difficult to do any sightseeing.

A great stay in a great place”

I had an excellent relaxing stay at this property. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners and they treated you like one of their family. If you wanted to be left alone, they did it, but if you required something they organised it quickly and to a high standard

Perfect”

This small hotel is run by Anna (thai) and her Swedisch husband and a very friendliy staff We had a perfect stay during 2 nights. The food was high class and they served a good bottle of wine.

A hidden paradise”

we only stayed one night at this resort, in between going on a jungle trek and visiting koh samui. They were very helpful in assisting us in hotel transfer and even woke up at 5am to take us to the train station. The gardens were absolutely stunning and we found out that most of the produce served at the restaurant was in fact grown there. The cook, who was also the owner along with her husband was one of the loveliest people we met along our journey through thailand and she makes beautiful food. Good sized rooms also.

Stay was good 3 days only bit off tourist track and not much else around. Place feeling bit old and rooms need a makeover but overall a pleasant stay

Fantastic stay while visiting Wat Chedi Ai Kai for work, which is about 15-20 min away. The owner was very lovely and kind, the staff were wonderful. Stayed in a room that had a spiral staircase and a balcony, very charming and clean. Breakfast buffet basic but very good, was able to eat breakfast and dinner here. Outsourced our laundry for us upon request, much appreciated. Would highly recommend!
