Most satisfying stay”
Initially we was very skeptical after reading some of the negative reviews but then we went ahead with this resort anyways, and that was one of the best decision we ever made. If you want to temporarily divorce from your busy work, relax, drink mai tai, enjoy sun, beach and delicious breakfast then Escape Beach Resort is the answer to your prayer. Clean room, good amenities, best breakfast buffet, and extremely helpful staffs are the highlights of this resort. Location might be a trouble for some of the guest as this resort is about 2 km away from the main road but resort people are happy to provide taxi (mini bus) for that matter. Taxis are very expensive so we suggest hiring a bike (200-300 baht) or car (2500+) (available at the resort). While hiring a bike or car you should be careful around the corner as the way leading to this resort is very steep. Sunset in the evening is unbeatable and can be best enjoyed with a happy hour drink while immersing yourself in a beautiful pool. We recommend trying out kayaking (available at the resort restaurant) during the sunset. With continuous effort and a same friendly and 'ever ready' to help attitude of staffs, this resort will really be a highlight of Koh Samui. We left Escape Beach Resort with a great impression.

Nice place & friendly stuff”
We spent 5 days in the Escape Beach Resort in a Standard Room with Breakfast. The rooms where very clean and the view from the pool is stunning. The only downside is that they have not that many chairs at the pool. But we always got a chair if we liked. The location is at the end of Mae Nam Beach. You need to get a motorbike or a car to get around what we would recommend. Mae Nam and Bophut are nice little towns worth a visit. Breakfast was served from 7-11 am. It contained everything you wished from fresh fruits, continental dishes over eggs as you like them to a thai dish. Never had this good breakfast in Thailand. There are also seaview bungalows available which I would recommend. But ask for direct seaview not poolview. The stuff was very friendly and helpful. We felt very welcome and would definitely return for another stay.

One of the BEST Deals I ever got!”
I was skeptical about the standard of this resort since I got it at a very low price. Next thing was its location in Mae Nam Beach, which never really had a reputation as the top destinations in Koh Samui. HOWEVER, I was awed by the view, and the standard of the resort when I arrived. The beauty of the view, as well as its discreet location situated beside W hotel RIGHT ON THE EDGE of the beach, is unparalleled by the resorts on Chaweng Beach. The simplicity but aesthetic value of its design and furnishing, as well as the lay out of the whole resort was very relaxing. And I enjoyed it thoroughly. Please DO NOT miss this Gem!!!

Quiet, peaceful getaway”
My hubby and I really enjoyed this resort. We live in Thailand and have traveled around quite a bit. We booked the economy room for $50/night and it was great. This is a hidden, boutique resort directly next to the W hotel which costs $700/night! Things that we really liked about Escape Resort: 1) quiet, peaceful surroundings with hardly any neighbors, 2) great location, close to lots of good restaurants and markets, 3) an infinity pool, 4) a cute restaurant with a great view of the water, 5) great wifi. A few things that people may not like about the Escape Resort: 1) there is NO beach on the property. You can walk (through 1 foot deep water to the W and use part of their beach. There are large concrete steps down from the pool that go directly into the beautiful water, 2) the hotel is hard to get to, so it's best to have a car or motorbike. We actually liked the privacy, but we had a car, 3) traffic is nuts around Koh Samui. Be prepared for it, 4) the rooms are a little shabby.

Loved everything but access”
We loved the hotel, were in a room (not bungalow), farthermost accommodation within the hotel, but it was only a minute to get to the beach and the room had a sea view above bungalows. The beach is not windy here which is also important for us. Staff is nice, everything's clean, food is tasty, it is amazing to be so closed to the sea when eating and the pool is also right at the sea (and you can see wonderful sunset from here). We saw a lot other hotels from the beach side even very expensive hotels (there are no private beaches as the whole shore belongs to the king's property, so you can walk around the island at the sea, nothing is closed) and we have not seen another hotel with pool so closed to the sea. The hotel has also a shop you should not go anywhere to buy cheap snacks, drinking water or beer. The only negative is that the hotel is quite remote you cannot go to tourists places by foot and taxis are expensive and we did not dare to rent car or motorbike seeing the traffic... Although you can reach restaurants walking on the shore in the sand, so you can eat at other hotels' restaurants and we also walked so to the Mae Nam market (takes place on Thursdays' evenings) which took 30 minutes and once walked back to hotel from Fisherman's Village on the street during 40-50 minutes so it is not impossible. When you go to a tour you'll be picked up in the morning and dropped after the tour at the hotel by shuttle bus.

Family gathering”
We had nine rooms booked at Escape Beach, a family gathering for a wedding in Koh Samui. Correspondence in the months leading up to our reservation was handled quickly and very efficiently by Yan (who unfortunately we didn't get to meet in person). All 18 of us were more than happy with the staff, facilities (spotless at all times) and the very good food (simple but delicious with plenty of Thai options). The pool and beach were also lovely and never crowded when we chose to use either. We'd all recommend Escape to friends and perfect for a group gathering. Transport was required to get to more central locations. Fantastic time had by all.

Gorgeous stay, kept extending”
A little piece of paradise in Koh Samui. It's a bit of a trek to get to the first time and you are tucked away inside a hilly resort that takes a good ten minutes to get in and out of to the main road-- but it's worth it because the view you have from the pool area and its geographical location on this little tip on the north of the island--- means the sky is open and incredible. The rooms are so so comfortable for a retreat from the world, food is decently priced and delicious. Only thing is it's a trip if you want to go anywhere else in koh samui and the taxis they offer, they charge a lot of money and you must have a motorcycle license to rent motorcycles from the hotel themselves. But gorgeous and super great week.

Perfect for end of trip backpacking luxury ”
Escape is a great place to unwind after hectic backpacking. I had stuck to fan bungalows for weeks and treated myself for the last couple of days before flying out. The pool is elevated above the beach and is great to enjoy without battling with sand everywhere. There are bungalows right on the beach, and the ones that aren't, are fitted to the same standard. Most guests are couples so bear that in mind as a good or bad thing depending on what you're after. The poolside service is very attentive as is the restaurant service. When ordering a taxi, they will only use the hotels taxi at 400baht plus extra for more than 3 passengers which is unusual on the island. The taxi isn't fast to arrive so bear that in mind. My buddy missed his Samui flight after the cab took 20mins to arrive after no phone answer for 10mins. I had the same issue 24hours later, but was prepared so left earlier and asked for a different cab. One of their staff was great and took me in his ute. If you can hire a scooter do that instead, the hotel is so worth staying there if you want to really escape. The beach will be all yours.

perfect staying”
Firstly i loved the location of Escape resort. The fact that is in a very private area as everybody writes secluded, makes this hotel peaceful and unique. You are there to relax and this is what you get. Away from the busy life but still very close either by foot (15minutes walk, please this is not a distance to complain about) or by scooter. The service from all staff from the reception till the cleaning staff and the waiters were absolutely professional every single day during our staying. I was surprised to feel so respect everytime i was dealing with any of them. The cleanness of the room and all areas around the rooms, the pool and the restaurant. The amazing, tasteful and at reasonable prices food served to the restaurant. We were having lunch and dinner every day. And to close the breakfast was absolutely enjoyable. Every morning fresh and in big quantity and high quality served by the sea. What else you can get? All in all everything was perfect for the 4 of us (two couples) coming from a touristic island of Greece and being occupied with tourism and so able to validate a hotel of another country. We thank you all and we send you our warmest wishes for a good continuation to your work.

Perfect escape from touristy chaweng”
Escape resort is away from the drunk tourist side of koh samui. It's on the boutique side of the island and isolated on its own peninsula. However it is still a close taxi or scooter ride to fishermans village and other shops and restaurant. Highly recommend it for couples. Staff friendly, great restaurant and funky but minimal accommodation. Breakfasts were very decent and we were always able to grab a spot by the pool after. If you walk along the beach there is a convenient and good massage place too. You will need a taxi or scooter to venture out to the main streets though otherwise is probably a 20min walk to the main road. Great resort to just relax and take in a nice view.

Great oasis ”
This was my 2nd stay and I still like this place a lot. The hotel has a swimming pool and direct access to the beach. The rooms are clean and comfortable. In some units, the walls are quite thin so you can hear your neighbour from time to time. It can be a little disturbing at night if you want to get some sleep... but overall, Escape remains a great place to stay in Koh Samui for holidays.

The perfect escape”
My stay here was perfect. I wanted a true escape and this is exactly what I got. The rooms are modern, spacious and extremely comfortable. The added extras of the beach bag, amenities etc were lovely little touches which made this place extra special. The location was not an issue for me as everything is still within walking distance, but not on your doorstep which I prefer. All the food and drinks I had here (especially the cocktails) were delicious and reasonably priced for a hotel and the staff were very polite and professional. There isn't really a beach at the hotel but a short walk either side and there is nice golden sand. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who wants a relaxed, high standard but low key holiday. It's a true escape!

Beachfront Room ”
I had a great experience staying here. Actually, I saw its advertise on facebook and I felt in love with this hotel so I planned a trip to Samui just to stay here. Luxury hotel design where you can see everywhere in Thailand is too boring to me. I want to stay somewhere cozy and comfy and Escape is one of the best choices. The location is good, it's right by the beach and I stayed in the beachfront room so I had a great time chitchatting with my partner at the balcony without sharing the space with anyone. But to reach the hotel, you have to go through W but the staffs there are very friendly. The breakfast is ok, the bacon I had was smelly and not so tasty... which is kind of strange. Bacon is type of amazing food - it is always delicious no matter how we cook it. But I just wonder how they cooked to become not tasty. Overall, it is a great hotel. Will DEFINITELY COME BACK.

Excellent Resort”
When booking a 3 star hotel I expected it to be average, Escape Beach Resort has exceeded my expectations and if I was to return to Samui I would stay there again in a heart beat. Only thing I could fault it on is the long drive way to the main road.

A Private Cosy Getaway, with an Elegant touch”
Exactly what we needed. The hotel atmosphere is one of peace, tranquility and beauty. Good for those who are looking for a quiet getaway from busy schedules and bustlin' crowds. Room Our Beachfront room tripled the quality of our stay. These little beach homes are right at the shore itself. Take 5-7 steps from your balcony and your feet will be lapped up by the waves. Its designed rather remarkably as these steps do not change regardless of tide. Thus we slept to the sound of the waves literally right outside our window. In the day, we relaxed on our own private sun loungers on our balcony, and jump into the sea whenever we felt like it, took a swim out into the sea and back into our rooms from the balcony. Loved everything about the room. The only suggestion is that there should be more floor mat/towels provided, cuz we kept bringing sand in from all our swimming. Its an old resort, so the bathtub screws need maintenance, as well as the bidet spray. Location The resort is probably a 15-20 minute walk from the main road. If you have a motor license, there are a few cheap motorbike rentals midway walking compared to the offered rate at the hotel. The one whom we rented from is a very honest and helpful man, honestly comparing prices (even of his own merchandise) and giving us great directions and tour package advise. Sadly, I cant remember his shop to recommend here. Once you've reached the main road, everything you need is within 10 minutes of motorbiking. (except tours and hardcore partying) We wanted local food. Hotel Amenities Infinity Pool and Cafe: Both are great. Ambient music, Great view, Great food, ample sun loungers lined on the shore overlooking the sea. Sunset in view. Need more umbrellas though. Great experience. Will definitely consider coming back again next year!

Relaxing Vacation ”
I go to Koh Samui with my boyfriend and try to get rid of the tiredness & stressful mind with beautiful beach view and it helps with staying in this beautiful, relaxing resort. First go in the room, we are surprise with the beachfront view. Both of us enjoyed so much with sit on the sofa outside our room and look at the seaview which the sea just right infront of us. Toilet & bed is clean as well, and the partition to put the clothes and shoes is good and nice design. But the only disadvantages is this hotel is far from the crowded area, if you want to go out for a walk is impossible and you must rent a bike or a taxi. Me and bf dont know how to ride bike, the only choice for us is to call a taxi which cost us RM80 for two way. If you know to ride a motorbike, it only cost you RM25 per day. If you dont want to face this problem, please choose other hotel near to chaweng.

Value for money, good hospitality, great stay”
We absolutely enjoyed our stay here and the view the hotel had to offer. The front desk staff A welcomed us and gave a break down of where to go, what to do, she got us our bike and everything was a breeze. Our standard bungalow was clean 10/10, toilets were maybe 7/10, the view from the rooms of some of bungalows weren't great but we didn't mind too much as we spent all our time outside. We were offered an upgrade at 1500 thb but because the hotel was fully booked we only managed the last nights stay. If you want to stay here get a car in advance if you are not keen on riding a bike because the walk is insane. Its got very steep hills that are winding. Most major beaches and tourist attractions are within a reasonable distance away. About 30 mins all the way to Lamai from the hotel which isn't bad. Good cheap food around. There's a 24 hr ATM with cirrus nearby. Breakfast was great good variety. Perfect for families and couples looking to escape the hustle of Chaweng and othr beaches.

Very nice resort in isolated location”
We liked the hotel a lot. The staff has been very friendly. The room and hotel has been clean and modern. The pool was refreshing, clean and offered shade. The breakfast buffet was good. The only downside was the location, due to which the hotel has only little beach and bad access to other areas of Mae Nam.

The name does reflect the stay here, an escape, a perfect getaway from all your troubles.”
Hidden in a corner of Maenam, Escape Beach was everything I was looking for for my gap break from work. I've got myself a beach front room, worth every penny. The view is amazing, so serene and peaceful. Escape Beach is relatively quiet and secluded, perfect for reading on your balcony or pool side. You will surely get full rest by staying here. The staff was very friendly. The food at the restaurant was not bad but was slightly salty for my taste, price was also acceptable. The facilities inside the room functioned well, except the bathtub which took forever to fill up (but really I was being unreasonable, who would want to be in the tub when you have the pool and the ocean.) Speaking of the pool, it's a small-sized pool perfect for a dip. I can't describe how wonderful it is to watch sunset view from the pool. Overall I am very impressed and would love to be back despite the difficulty of traveling from Suratthani to Samui. Will definitely reccommend the beach front room!
