Great Staff, Good Rooms, Small Shortcomings”

We arrived at EZ House late but were warmly welcomed. Our initial impression was 'dirty' based on the stairway; however, the room itself was clean. We minor issues in the room but none of them were show stoppers. First, there was no toilet paper in the bathroom so we had to use the 'tissue' off the desk. Second, there was a light out in the bathroom leaving the sink and mirror unlit. Third, was the fact there were only two outlets in the room, one if the fridge was plugged in. We unplugged the vent fan in the bathroom and left the light on overnight to power that outlet so we could charge both of our cell phones. The room wasn't huge but it still had room for the bed, a chair, and a built-in desk, wardrobe, and cabinets along one wall. The shower is a typical Asian shower head on the wall by the toilet. The water heater worked well and it had good pressure. The bed was comfortable and both of us slept very well. There is little noise from outside but anything that happens in the hall echos and can be heard in the room. The owners and workers did a great deal to offset our initial mediocre impression with their helpfulness the following morning. They gave us directions, told us about the minibuses to the old city, and advised we try the night 'bazaar' where we got dinner. Though we didn't exercise the option, I saw other customers taking advantage of the free bikes the owner provides his guests. We were also the recipients of one of their bags of Sukhothai biscuits when we checked out. The location of the hotel is great to see New Sukhothai , however, it is about 12 km to Old Sukhothai. Because they are on the main road it is easy to catch one of the wooden minibuses. That being said, if your goal is to see Sukhothai Historical Park I would recommend you find a hotel closer to avoid the wasted travel time. We were generally satisfied with the EZ House but would probably try to book something closer to the Old City if we were to visit again.

All you need in Sukhothai”

I've stayed at EZ House on four occasions. I've stayed in several other hotels in Sukhothai as well. EZ House is my my first choice. In my view the location is very good. It's walking distance from the night and weekend market, and plenty of restaurants and street cafes, and far enough out to be away from the problem of the bird population that can be deafening in the evenings. There is shuttle service to the historical park across the road for those without wheels. The food served in the cafe at this guesthouse is very good quality and the coffee is excellent. The rooms are very clean and serviced daily. The furniture and bathroom fittings and tile work are above average quality and the family that owns the building are keeping it in very good condition. They are pleasant to deal with and helpful. There is good laundry service. They get full marks from me for doing a great job at a good price.

Made me want to stay in Sukhothai longer”

The staff were amazing; they spoke English quite well and gave us guide maps to Sukhothai Historical Park, directions to a nearby foodfest and instructions on how to take public transportation. They even allowed us to check out a bit late (an hour) without extra charges. The milk tea and green tea shakes were divine; they gave us free rice desserts and were just generally so attentive (one even turned the electric fan on for us without us asking). EZ House is close to both the new city (5 minute walk to the foodfest), the Historical Park (30 mins by public bus) and the bus station (probably a 10 minute ride away). Plenty of restaurants and a 7-11 nearby. Rooms were spacious, clean, good AC and refrigerator, good bathroom with heater, and even two free bottls of water. VERY GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY.

Perfect for what we needed ”

EZ house was such a pleasure to stay in. We stayed here for 2 nights as a stop over for our next journey and were pleasantly surprised with how nice the room was. We stayed in the standard double room, which was really spacious, great air con, free water, towels, soap, tissue etc provided. We had a private bathroom which again was large and very clean. They also cleaned our room and provided new towels/sheets whilst we were out for the day which we did not expect so that was a bonus! The staff were so friendly and helpful, the owners speaks great English and one of the family members is always on standby should you need them for directions, taxi, food places etc. If you are staying, I would highly recommend getting breakfast included, it was really delicious, especially the banana pancakes (a must!). The location was very good, it is just outside of the local market/town (about a 12-14 min walk) which was fine for us but it does get very quiet at night so it’s something to think about when walking back in the evening. When we were leaving, the owner gave us a Japanese dessert to take with us that had been freshly cooked and was still warm which I thought was very nice of him! It was delicious too. Overall, a really great day and would highly recommend if visiting Sukhothai.

Great value for money”

I stayed a night at EZ House to see the sights in Sukhothai. The hotel is pretty conveniently located on the main road that leads to the old city (about 15 minutes away). The room was very clean, comfortable, and large for the price I paid. The internet worked well. The shower didn't have warm water when I needed it, which was disappointing, but I was tired and didn't ask the staff to fix it. They probably would have, as they were very attentive when I asked them for other things. There was heavy rain at night preventing me from going out, and the lady that helps run the place set me up in the lounge area and even gave me some free snacks to go along with my beer. Overall, for the price, it's a great place to stay for budget travellers and couples who don't need frills.

Relaxing stay in Sukhothai”

EZ House has a lovely downstairs area to hang out and have a coffee or meal. The room was very nice, clean, quiet and had a comfortable bed. Shower and toilet were great, free toiletries included. They also loan bikes for free, which is great to explore Sukhothai town and the surrounding areas. The WIFI worked. EZ House is easily reachable on foot from the bus station, and close to the night food markets. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Nice clean place with a friendly staff”

When I came to Sukhothai I was staying at EZ houses smallest room for a few days. I wanted to book more so I took room for two. I liked both rooms. They were clean and the staff were really friendly and polite. I stayed 4 nights and enjoyed. The House is near by the main road so there can be some sounds of traffic but I really liked the location.

Great value for money, clean & simple, but loud”

EZ House offers exceptionel value for money!!! The room was simple but very functional, clean, private bathroom and even with AC. Breakfast is not included, however you can get some toasts, eggs, fruits, banana pancakes etc - compared to thai prices the breakfast is actually pricy, but for european standards still very cheap (huge pancake for ~2€). We would recommend this place for a quick stop in Sukhothai, especially when you're on a budget ( For our purpose it was perfect (quick stop, private bathroom, cheap). However it is not as cosy as many other guesthouses, the rooms are without any decoration, just a bed, desk and bathroom nothing individual. If you're looking to connect to other backpackers, I would recommend not staying here, since it is somewhat anonymous. Note: if you book the airport transfer, BE SURE TO CALL EZ HOUSE!!! We were not picked up and almost missed the last transport to the city. Also the staff hardly speaks any english except for the owner.

Excellent!”

EZ House is one the best deals around. I’ve stayed in well over a hundred budget rooms in Thailand, and I think this is one of the best I’ve seen. This guest house is in very good condition and is finished with good quality fixtures and furniture. The halls and rooms are spotless, and cleaned daily. I’ve been in three of them. This time I had single room. Very small but just fine and only 350b. The doors are heavy and solid. The tile work is exceptional-please remove your shoes! There is a video security system. The location is walking distance to the Thai evening market. The staff are hospitable and helpful. The food is very good and inexpensive. They make some first class coffee in a decent sized cup. I’m giving them full marks for facilities even though there is no water park or petting zoo and parking is limited to the street. Unless you’re riding a motorbike, in which case they will put it in the locked compound out back.

Great stay, very helpful and nice staff”

Our stay at the EZ house was really nice. We had a large and clean room including a private bathroom. The shower solution was not the best, since there was no curtain or stuff and the toilette also got wet when showering. However, everything was very clean and also cleaned during our stay. The staff or owners were very friendly, including a really cute grandpa. We got everything we asked for and also had the possibility to rent a bike for free. So it does not actually matter that much, that it was a bit down the road from the restaurants. Walking would have also been possible. Overall great value for the price we paid. We can only recommend the place and would definitely come back :).

Great place, awkward location for solo woman”

The young woman who runs EZ House is very friendly and helpful. Her father, who speaks only Thai, is a delight, very welcoming and friendly. The room was spotless and by far the most comfortable I have stayed in in Thailand, far nicer than the price suggests. The only thing I didn't like was the location: It's convenient, however, walking back from restaurants at night requires walking through a stretch of road where everything is closed and there are no people. As a solo woman traveler, this made me a little uncomfortable.

Comfortable Stay”

The staff was great! The owner lent me a bicycle to go biking around Sukhothai City which I really appreciated. Initially, I thought the location was a bit out of the way but then I realised that Sukhothai doesn't really have much of a nightlife but it's a nice place to relax. The rooms were impeccably clean. The only thing was that the breakfast seemed a tad on the pricey side for what I received. Overall, it's a great family run hotel.

Very relaxed guesthouse ”

Stayed in Sukhothai for two days, both nights in EZ. Short walk from bus depo, don’t worry about the dogs barking, all bark no bite. You can waive down a mini bus to take you to the historic site and walk to the new city centre.

amazing value, helpful owner”

This place looks much better in person than in online photos. It's run by a lovely family - very helpful owner who explained where everything is and the points of interest nearby. A 200 baht deposit for the key is needed upon check-in. The decent-sized air-conditioned double room was absolutely spotless! Wifi works very well. Laundry is 50 baht per kg. No elevator. Free bicycles available to cycle 5 minutes into town (less than 10 minutes to walk) where there are a few restaurants and a 7-11. The bus stop to Old Sukothai is directly across the street and it takes 15 minutes and costs 30 baht. Sukhothai Bus Terminal is a 5-minute 50-baht tuk tuk ride away, or you can walk there in 25 minutes.

Clean, modern and good location”

I enjoyed my stay at EZ House. It is located close to the bus station (ask the owner for the shortcut, then it's a ten minute walk). I could drop my backpack at 6am and check in later when the room was available. The room was really clean, modern (brand new) and had AC! You can take the bus to the old city the opposite side of the road for only 30baht. Fantastic stay.

Clean, centrally located Budget hotel”

This hotel is located about 600 meters from New Sukhothai in the main road, for shopping, bars and food, the Transport to the Old City picks you up in front if the hotel. The rooms are clean, air conditioned, have good wifi, and include 2 bottles of water a day. The owner has well maintained bicycles to use free and will drive you to the bus station when you leave.. This is the main road though so try to get a room away from the front of the hotel. Great budget accomodations. We spent 3 nights here, but for the sights we could have done with only 2.

Very clean and friendly place to stay”

We stayed for 3 nights at EZ House.The owner and his family are lovely people who go out of their way to ensure that you have a great stay. The room was large enough for us with a big bed, small fridge,quiet a/c, tv, chair and stool, a wardrobe and a attached bathroom with good hot water pressure and a great extrator fan. There was very little noise from the road at night and we had no bother sleeping.We had an excellent wifi connection throughout our stay. It is an short walk into town and from late afternoon you have lots of food stands and places to eat that pop up.The wooden buses going to/from the Old City pass along this road too so it's no problem in catching one. Would recommend EZ House to anyone.

Great place to stay”

This was one of the best guesthouses we have stayed at in Southeast Asia, and we've been through quite a few in the last five months. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was large. Everything was very well-maintained and cleaned daily. The wifi was reliable and fast. The staff here are very helpful. They also run a cafe downstairs that made some of the best Thai Iced Teas and Iced coffees, along with many other varieties, that I've had in Thailand. And at a great value, too! The location is quiet, yet you can still conveniently catch a songthaew (a kind of truck-bus) to Old Sukhothai at any time in the day for around 20-30 baht. Very good value. Would definitely recommend staying here to anyone.

Perfect stay and the best bed”

This place is amazing. It's a family run hotel and you really will feel at home as soon as you arrive. If your hear that it's a ten minute walk from anywhere it's not true, it is a lovely 5 minute walk through street food stalls and a handful of restaurants. Also when you get to the bars go to bar 64000. Overall I would recommend this place to anybody and if we ever go back to sukhothai this is where we will stay.
