Hotel Universal Port Vita

"It was our first time in Osaka & in Japan. Miss Kawahira made sure that we were treated well & that we had the best experience at Hotel Universal Port Vita. She personally wrote us a card to wish us a Happy 28th Wedding Anniversary. Miss Kawahira has excellent work ethics, is dedicated to her job and has a welcoming & caring personality. She went out of her way by providing us with clear instructions on how to get from Yokohama to Hotel Universal Port Vita by the Shinkansen train & then to Lake Biwa by the JR train. She recommended us to some areas of interest & even walked us to the pier to catch our boat ride to the Port of Osaka. I hope her manager will recognize Miss Kawahira for a job well done & make sure that she receives the employee of the month award for her outstanding service. Thank you, Hotel Universal Port Vita, for having such an exemplary employee work for you. Because of people like Miss Kawahira, we will stay at your hotel again. Mr. & Mrs. T. USA"

Hotel Monterey Grasmere Osaka
Namba,Osaka - View on map
"monterey grasmere osaka hotel is the recommended and best accommodation in osaka. i walked from jr namba station and could reached in 3 minutes. it was very convenience to access many places by public transportation. in addition, if you would like to hang out or go shopping at night in dotonburi or shinsaibashi walking street, you can access there by walking in 8 minutes. i could save the money for transportation and save my time to move other places. for accommodations, room was so clean and new. my family really liked bathroom at the hotel. and we could see downtown at night from our room which located in 31st floor. if compared with price, and quality i do recommend tourists stay at monterey grasmere hotel in osaka because there are many japanese staffs who can speak very well in english and chinese, including some korean language. THE LIVELY OSAKA HONMACHI
Umeda,Osaka - View on map
"We‘re so glad that we booked this hotel for our short trip to Osaka - we loved it! There‘s free beer for 1h every day, the staff was so helpful and friendly and the hotel is very modern and elegant. The quality of the furnishings would give you the impression that you‘re paying for a much more expensive hotel. Big room size for Japan! We loved the free coffee and seating area. Overall the hotel had a young feeling. The location is slightly away from some points of interest in Osaka, but with the subway just 1min from the hotel, you can reach everywhere quickly."

Hotel Universal Port
Bay Area,Osaka - View on map
"this hotel is definitely the best option if you're going to universal studios in osaka. the price is incredibly reasonable and the rooms are the best in town. everything is clean and well maintained. i also found the rooms to be very spacious and a little more "western like". it's not for the downtown experience but a great addition to your trip if you're planning to spend a week or so in osaka. taking out money is a bit tricky as the lawson doesn't allow international visas. there is a 7-11 about a 10 minute walk from the hotel where you can take out funds. in fact, try to know where all of the 7-11's are in japan wherever you're staying as they are a great place for not only taking out money but also pigging out on snacks. happy travels. Cross Hotel Osaka
Shinsaibashi,Osaka - View on map
"Hotels in Japan are quite expensive so it's a given that you'll pay north of $100/night for a decent room. After looking at many hotels in Osaka and Kyoto, we decided to make Cross hotel our base for 2 nights. We were at the tail end of our 3 week trip in Japan so we wanted a place we can easily access good food and lots of shopping. Cross Hotel gave us that a more. The room is quite nice and more spacious (very rare) than we thought. This is in comparison with other hotels (3.5-5 stars) we've stayed at throughout Japan. We love the sit-down bathroom and the full tub. Amenities are awesome (designer stuff from both Japanese & French brands). As for being in the center of things, this hotel is next to the Dotonburi canal. You have food, shopping and night life in Dotonbori, tons of shopping (and more food) in Shinsaibashi (right behind the hotel), and Don Quijote (famous discount store with tons of stuff) is right in front of the hotel. Namba district is also 15 mins away. "

Hiyori Hotel Osaka Namba Station
Namba,Osaka - View on map
"We stayed at the Hiyori hotel in Osaka for four days, we did not expect much but the room shocked us. Firstly, the hotel was five stations from the airport for about thirty minutes, plus a few minutes of walking time. The location is conveniently near many restaurants and malls. Also, the hotel room was big enough for our comfort, it even provides a foot massager. In addition, the staff were friendly and helpful to our requests especially when we asked for some plates since we had to eat something, the staff immediately went to the kitchen to get some plates, as well as forks and knives. Overall, this is the best hotel I ever went to Japan. "

RIHGA Royal Hotel Osaka
Umeda,Osaka - View on map
"We stayed at the "Run of House" room in the RIHGA Royal Hotel Osaka for 4nights this time and we highly recommend it for family travelling with children. When we made the booking, we understood in general that it was hard to find a hotel room big enough in Japan so we were only looking for somewhere with a relatively larger room - we didn't realize what we booked in RIHGA was actually a Suite. It offered enough beds for everyone and a huge family bath/shower room. In addition, it has an extra living room (yes, that's correct!!), and an extra toilet room, which was a big nice surprise to all of us - and it was all reasonablely priced. RIHGA hotel itself is a grand hotel with quite a few nice restaurants and shops. Staff at the RIHGA are all very nice and speak good English. We would certainly like to come back in future."

Hotel New Otani Osaka
Osaka Castle & Kyobashi,Osaka - View on map
"We were blown away by this hotel. Walking into the magnificent lobby in our casual sight-seeing clothes we actually felt a little underdressed. Perhaps the excellent rate for which we booked the room through Agoda allowed us to stay somewhere a little more classy than we would otherwise - as make no mistake this is a classy hotel. We were immediately surrounded by helpful staff offering to take our luggage and assist us with checking in. Much to our surprise some very petite young women were employed as porters and I felt quite guilty as our porter struggled to get our pieces of luggage on and off the baggage cart - I couldn't help but assist her with them. Once we got to our room the best feature became clear with a commanding view of Osaka-jo Castle and Osaka-jo-koen park - which only got better as the sun set and the castle was lit up. This happened to be our last night on a 3 week Japan holiday and we couldn't have picked a nicer place to stay."
