Authentic Thailand with the comfort of home”

My wife and I stayed 6 nights and would have liked to stay longer. The beach is virtually like a private beach, with gorgeous white sand and nice surf. The restaurant has some nice entrees-- especially liked the pork stuffed with prunes, and the fish & chips. Good Thai food, too! Our room was spotless when we arrived, and the housekeepers kept it that way throughout our stay. Gorgeous bathroom with natural stone shower, and hot & cold running water in shower and sink (no suicide shower!). We will definitely return to Fisherman's Resort!

Very nice hotel on perfect location”

Chao Samran is a small, but very nice place to visit with beautiful beach and it is clean. The hotel is direct located at the beach. It has lots of green garden. The rooms are good, so are the beds and each room has a small balcony. The Western breakfast is very good considering it is a Thai community

Exceptional”

The room we got was very spacious and well-decorated even if the wooden floor is a bit worn out. The bedroom has a very large and comfy king size bed, and the bathroom is very clean except for the floor on the outdoor shower that has many leaves. The view of the sea that this hotel gives is very spectacular and this would be a great place for all beach lovers. The breakfast however was a little disappointing. We weren’t offered with a lot of options and the food tasted bland. Overall, we feel that this place has met our expectations in many ways and will be back here if we by chance come to Phetchaburi.

Pleasant atmosphere with serenic view”

I have arrived the hotel late from my plan since I had not turned left to the road shown in the map. Anyway I arrived at all. The resort is situated in the perfect location with the the beautiful scenery . I stayed in the garden villa which the spacious room with the ancient Thai style decoration. Since the day I stayed the weather is cold around 18 Deg C. I did not turn on the air-conditioning instead I switch the electric ceiling fan with made the sufficient air-ventillation inside the room. In my villa is surrounded by the pleasant garden with various tropical plants which is the same kind of plants which I grew in my home. It made me feel like staying at home. The food is good in the tiny restaurant. Since the resort nearby has various style of restaurant with a 5 minute walk or ride the resort bicycle. You could find what you want, the European or Thai Food. Breakfast is pretty good. They serve buffet with the choice of rice-porrige with 3 side dish , bread , crossiant with butter and jam , tea , coffee and 3-in-1 Ovaltine . They serve the American breakfast for each guest as well. What I like most is the attentive staff and the cleanliness with the cozy atmosphere. I could only say that this is my superb hotel in this region.

Quite well run resort”

Until the day we left I had only 10 out of 10 for this resort. Could find no fault it was just what I had hoped for. The girls at the front desk organised a "taxi" for us which was our own private tour twice this was arranged at what I consider to have been very reasonable prices the driver was excellent. The day we were to leave our taxi from Mr Tik did not arrive he said I had not booked it but that is another story. The english speaking Reception Male said he would organise one for me and asked how much I was to pay Mr. Tik which was Baht.This was at 3pm To shorten the story the price went to 2500 then to 3500 our plane left at 20.55 but I told him 8pm. The resort is 123km from BKK so just after 4pm the "taxi" arrived. The Reception male insisted on being paid BEFORE we left.I have never been ripped off in Thailand before and this put a real dampener on the resort. The trip took 2.5 hours which meant that had we indeed been leaving at 8pm we would have missed our plane the driver took the scenic route which was clearly marked on the road signs. obviously to miss the road tolls. He was paid the 3500 and no tip much to his disgust.

Short-Changed”

Booked through Agoda but had top pay at Hotel. We were not told that the Swimming Pool was closed for renovations. Many people look at the Swimming Pool to decide whether to stay or not. Says we get a "Complimentary Drink".....thought this was to be a Beer or Smoothie but it was a small tasteless cup of juice. Then, we get a Food Menu and a Drinks Menu. A lot of Drinks but no Wine. I asked if I could bring my own bottle of Wine in and was told they have 1 Bottle. I go and look and - they had a large Wine Fridge plus an additional "Wine List" Menu.....why don't they hand this out with the other 2 Menus ? They also show Photos of the Rooms with 2 Chairs and a Table on the Balcony. When we were there - there were no Chairs or Tables on any Balcony. So, this leaves us with a negative view about Fisherman's Resort.

Fisherman's Village Resort”

In my view, the Fisherman's village resort is an ideal place for one who wants to get away from a busy city and find a nice, peace, and beautiful place to stay during taking a break from your work. The room is impressive, well-decorated, nice and clean. One will feel warm and being invited to take a rest. However, it will be very quite and not so many activities or tourist attractive places nearby. It will be strongly recommended to have your own car to go there so that you can drive a car to go outside. The breakfast at the resort was delicious and was alright for one who doesn't want to bother to get outside to find something to eat in the morning.

Uniquely secluded beach holiday”

If you’re looking for a nice secluded beach to go, I think this is it. From Bangkok, you will get to here within approximately 2 hours and about 30 – 45 minutes before you reach Cha-am or Hua-hin. There aren’t many resort hotels around this area; therefore, you can expect that there won’t be too many people around. We only saw about 5-6 people simultaneously while we were outside our villa though it was the weekend and the resort was almost fully booked, but surely not like that at the breakfast. The garden villa is actually big enough for 3-4 people, so it’s more than enough for 2. The bath area are also big and comfort and there are both indoor and outdoor showers. The outdoor shower in the small little private garden makes the very relaxing atmosphere.

“Gem on chao samran beach in petchaburi province””

Great value. The villa is in a natural setting, fully equipped, quiet, clean and spacioue. What more can i ask for? All staff greet as we pass. Well mannered and trained. The pool area is not big but there was no one on monday. The beach is right front of the hotel but not recommended for swimming as the water looks filthy( no bad smell though). Wifi works fine throughout the hotel. Breakfast is from 06:30-10:00. I guess on weekend its a full buffet but when we stayed on monday, they called it mini buffet, means you can order a plate of eggs and ham once, other things are buffet such as breads, yoghurt, salad, fruit etc. the hotel is about 200metres away from the main area, which is noisy and full of people. 7/11 convenience store and restaurants about 5-10minutes walk. Overall i am very happy with this hotel. PS.Previous 2 hotels that we booked through agoda did not have our reservations, so we were very worried. This time we were lucky. The review about no reservation/overbooking were never published on agoda's side. They ignore comments not beneficiary to them. Shame on them.

Brilliant. We could have done with a few more rocky islets and islands off shore, and maybe a few more palm trees along the beach but apart from that and a sad ripoff restaurant in the village, (which, of course, we will never go back to), everything was really excellent. The resort had a friendly and welcoming atmosphere that made us feel comfortable and relaxed as soon as we arrived. We live in Thailand and stayed at the Resort with family from England needing, four bungalows to accomodate us all. Grouped together amongst the trees and gardens the children loved this, and spent as lot of their time playing musical bungalows!

Quiet hotel”

we loved our stay at fisherman's village and we will return there, but we were shocked to see that there were hardly any tourists there. it was difficult to find a place to eat apart from the hotel itself and prices were exorbitant!

Wonderful time @ Fisherman's Village”

The resort is very wonderful.Very nice and cozy room with very good amenities. We love the wooden floor room and their very nice bathroom. The restaurant is good and they serve good breakfast/a la carte. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool might look a bit strange because it's black but I love it. If you go on weekday, you will find it very peaceful. Morning walk on the beach was awesome. We had very relaxing time there.

Excellent value of money, next to the beach, good for family with kids”

We visited family in Phetchaburi and wanted to stay in the area. This place is perfect for family with kid. The villa beach front is excellent value of money. The beach is just 30 second walk, with lots of trees and garden in the resort. Good seafood restaurant nearby.

It was a wonderful stay at this hotel.We had a very relaxing week.But a stressfulll oraganisation.The hotel is just beautiful and the pool is nice and the view is like in a paradise.We are not the ones who need night life or party but but there is nothing!absolutely nothing.No tourist info,no rental bike or rental car,no thai massage shop.absolutely nothing.But many many nice and friendly thai village people who spoke only thai.This is very important to know.which we didn't know.Because the hotel offers many things but everything is very expensive in a place you cannot organize anything by yourself. If you want to book the hotel,it is definetly 100%better to reserve a car. The staff are very nice and specialy the manager Mr.pitisa was very nice and as we booked our one day tour he checked the weather for us and he asked were we wanted to go and tried to plan a personal tour for us.which was a very nice tour.Many thanks also to the nice driver mr.sopon. The restaurant staff were always very nice and specially mrs nut and mr.charam took super service everyday so we enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.And the doorman mr.visamu was always friendly. So if you want to have a very relaxing paradise just to stay at the pool and to relax enjoying the calm beautiful place it is absolutely perfekt place to go. you have your private beach and no selling people around.And it is 100%calm. eg.thai massage 90min 540b,60min 530b,motor bike 350b,3-5hours taxi 1200b,no rental car because we didn't book their pick upservice.

Quaint Hotel, Lovely Get Away”

Our stay at Fisherman's was great. It was quiet, offered places to relax: Swimming pool, beach, room. We visited during the rainy season and wonder how it would be different during the warm season. The room offered a fridge and mini-bar with great prices. We plan on going back.

Peaceful”

The Fisherman's Village Resort Huahin/cha-am is a perfect place for those who want a getaway in a serene and peaceful seaside resort. With fantastic restaurant, while the breakfast that comes with the room is less than enjoyable. The villa is spacious and nicely decorated with earth tones, with indoor and outdoor bathrooms. I won't recommend this place if you are looking for lots of activities to do around the resort as the place is quite far from many things. I loved it though.

Short beach trip, not too far from Bkk”

The resort is great, rooms are lovely. Resort is right on the beach. In a very quite village, a vehicle is recommended. We ate at the nearby local seafood restaurant. Few mosquitoes about at dusk.

Nice resort in charming out of the way location ”

Came back alone after 8 years. Last time it was nearly newly opened when I came for a short vacation with my family. The greatest moments then were seing the nearby monks on the beech wiht their saffron-orange robes fluttering in the wind, wonderful! and we quite liked the location and the tiny village to which the hotel belong. Now, nearly a decade later not much has changed which is overall fine!! The hotel and garden is well maintained with some signs of need for refurbesing and replacements in the bungalows. And I observed a few are under repair and refunishment. Had to compalain about a very noisy aircom. Got new room the next day and an apology. The food seems still to be a weak point on this resort, even the thai dishes not really spetacular and the breakfast is unimaginative and basic. Tried their spa on the beach which had only two staff since it was low season. But got a competent massage and on request the masseuse opened the windows so I could hear the ocean waves rather than the aircon!

Great resort but location...”

Resort was great and the staff was exceptional from the reception , bellboy and security. All goes for that extra mile for you. Location is for my opinion but of the downside. And we had a ‘bad’ luck that there was a wedding at the beach. Their music played until around 10pm. Breakfast was nice mix between Thai and western option. If next time we heading phetchaburi again we sure consider to book at this resort again
