Grand Balisani Suites Hotel
Seminyak,Bali - View on map
"This was my third trip to Bali since first visiting in 1977.I've stayed in quite a few hotels in Bali and would recommend this establishment very highly.Certainly it is a quieter and nicer venue than most (in this price range)in the Kuta area.We preferred to stay a little further out from the bustle and noise of Kuta.It has great grounds and a good quality/size pool. The hotel's shuttle will take you to Kuta but you must make your own way back.A metered taxi costs an average of 50,000 rupiah, (and about US$5 doesn't break the bank). I would recommend it and stay there again.Great shopping can be had between Kuta and the hotel. Nearby resturants are cheap an well worthy of a visit."

InterContinental Bali Resort

"Has everything you would want. Larger rooms than other hotels in Bali costing much more. Best deal in Bali for the money. Not far from Kuta or the airport too. You can even see the planes land from the beach but can't hear them. Many places to eat and drink cheaper just to the left of the beach. Walking about 2km to the right will bring you to several Jimbaran Beach seafood restaurants right on the beach. Metered taxis are readily available on call from the transport desk if you can't do the walking. ATMs, restaurants, small shops and mini marts are also just across the street."

FRii Bali Echo Beach Hotel

"Air con was great, food was good however compared to my previous visit where they changed the menu daily, it was the same food everyday. Wifi was terrible and the only place it would work for me was in the reception area but it was full of mozzies at night which meant I couldn't spend much time down there. Staff are great and friendly and is good value for money and would stay again provided the price stays the same. The bathroom had a bit of a bad smell and would only go away if the in bathroom fan was kept running. I removed the lightbulbs from the fittings so I could leave it on as there wasn't an individual switch for fan an lights, smell is typical of a lot of Hotels in Bali though so nothing out of the ordinary"

MERUSAKA Nusa Dua
Nusa Dua,Bali - View on map
"We have stayed in couple of hotels in Bali and really did some research, the Inaya is far the best hotel in nusa dua in terms of money value, great clean beach, service is not to mention excellent, room with pool is highly recommended and breakfast is diverse and just incredible. For example, hotel next door is st. Regis(where presidents stays ), using the same beach therefore the location must be great. First we booked 3 nights and than decided to stay 3 more and after visiting Ubud ( must see jungle town- in hotel Udaya, great hotel) we went to Kuta, Seminyak booked 3 nights and were vary disappointed with the dirty beach, so we went back to Inaya to go home with great memories from Bali. Legian Beach Hotel

"Arrived late and were immediately upgraded to a bungalow room. The service at check in was quick and efficient and the rooms was just great. The bungalow rooms and like a small thatched house with your own verandah surrounded by lush green, gorgeous gardens full of the best smelling flowers ever. The breakfast was first class and the staff more than helpful. The restaurant for breakfast was so close to the beach you felt you were on it. The bed-chairs overlook the beach and are covered with orange umbrella's for the sun. Really great. The pools are clean and cool but don't forget your towel voucher as they are indeed strict. This was my third visit and I will be revisiting as soon as I possibly can. It is just so worthwhile and I have stayed in a few hotels in Bali but this is the one I will book next time. "

Tugu Bali Hotel
Canggu,Bali - View on map
"This hotel is nestled in one of the more popular areas of Canggu very near the beach. Decorated with museum quality artworks and artifacts of various origins and centuries, the Tugu Bali Hotel will amaze and inspire you during your stay. The staff are exceptionally helpful and are willing to meet all your needs. The rooms are impeccably clean and tended to several times a day. The restaurant provides a varied and delicious menu of local and foreign dishes. Travellers with allergies or limited diets can make requests for substitutions without hassle or fuss. This was my favourite hotel in Indonesia. Ask for a tour by the Assistant Manager, Ari, who had worked at the hotel for about 20 years. The stories and knowledge he shares about the privately collected items on the property will surprise you. Jenny, the Manager, is approachable and very friendly as well. Be sure to book one of the suites with your own private pool. This hotel is one of a kind and made me feel like a queen!!"

The Ungasan Clifftop Resort

"this was one of the most amazing places i have ever stayed. it doesn't say on the website that when you book an individual room it is part of a huge villa that you have full use of. since no one else was staying there at the time, we had a huge villa all to ourselves. besides our own plunge pool, there was the biggest pool in semara in our villa, two beautiful living rooms, a theatre room, an office, a dining room, bar area and there is a kitchen but is locked because we didn't have a personal chef. we did have a butler that was there for our every need. i loved the private beach and finn's beach club right on the beach. everyone there was so friendly and helpful. we never wanted to leave our villa though it was so amazing. we looked at 4 of the villas of the 7 that they have and we liked our master bedroom the best. it was perfection. the only comment that i had to the resort was to have a bigger menu. there is the same menu almost for finns, their restaurant by the lobby and in room dining. but all of the food was delicious and not too overly priced as one would expect. i would recommend this for honeymooners for sure. especially the room we were in. Jimbaran Bay Beach Resort & Spa by Prabhu

"Like most of the hotels in Bali, its always great value for the money, that is, if you come from abroad. The location is a mixed blessing, while its right across from the beach, there is basically nothing to speak of in the vicinity, other than a few seafood places with mediocre service and inflated prices. Staff are great, again, Balinese hospitality!!"

Viceroy Bali - CHSE Certified
Ubud,Bali - View on map
"We can honestly say, this was our very best hotel/resort experience to date (and we have visited quite a few amazing hotels before we must add). To start with the hotel location. In the middle of rice paddies built in a gorge with amazing views from almost every room. This makes it a very relaxing environment with only nature and local villagers to look at. The rooms are amazing. All rooms have a private pool from which you can enjoy the views. We initially booked a terrace villa but upon arrival we were upgraded to a Viceregal villa. This is a huge secluded villa and when inside one can imagine being alone on the planet with nothing more than a private pool and an amazing view. The room is very clean and well designed. Nice furniture, spacious bathroom and good electronic features such as an iPod docking station (when spending so much time around your villa it is nice to have some mucis playing in the background). Hotel staff is very friendly and speaks good English. Due to the fact that there are only 25 villas or so, hotel staff can take time to make your stay a little more personal. They make time to have a chat and are genuinly interested in their guests. Especially food and beverage manager Stephane is very helpful when it comes to dining. He shares recommendations about the food and wine, a job well suited for a Frenchman obviously. The quality of the food is amazing. One can have great dining experiences starting already in the morning with breakfast. A la carte breakfast with an amazing choice of dishes never seen before. Lunch and dinner offer a wide variety of the finest cuisine accompanied with a huge choice of wines and other beverages. (only remark is that at some points the food and beverages are slightly overpriced, but that is what one can expect in top quality resorts like Viceroy Bali, so no serious complaints there). Overall this has been an amazing experience (still regretting that we did not book for 3 or 4 days instead of 2). We are seri"
