Exceptional”
Stayed here with my family, group of seven. We booked two rooms, and opted for additional beds seeing as the rooms were rather spacious. The rooms we got were a bit of a walk from the lobby which made for a good short exercise, but for my mother and mother-in-law, the staff graciously provided and helped them with wheelchairs. The place is a bit older than what we are used to (most hotels we go for are newly built), but everything is clean and well-maintained. The hotel is beautiful, and all the hallways are full of artworks, and photos of notable guests. My son enjoyed the swimming pool, and both my kids have tried their archery sessions, saying they'd love to go back for them. We thought a two night stay would be enough, but the resort provides so much activities, we would have to go back some time to try them all. The only things I would say need work are the shower, and improving their breakfast selection. Besides that, I believe you're getting each penny's worth.

DID NOT EXPECT HOW AMAZING THIS PLACE IS”
We went to Ilocos Norte with main agenda of going to DFA (bec everywhere is full). I booked this place for us to have a decent room since i expect us to be tired after 11-14hrs worth of driving from NCR. We were really surprised and in awe (not exaggerating) of how beautiful this place is. All the staff are super friendly and lovely. Hotel has its unique beauty no other hotel could ever imitate. The place is HUGE with 3 pools, beach front, mini zoo, archery, firing range driving range , etc all the amenities you could think of. But ofcourse most are closed bec of the pandemic. We enjoyed the clean pool (chlorine smell is not strong) to ourselves. Hotel food and room service was super worth it for the price. Even cheaper than restaurants in the mall. Giving this hotel 12/10! Will def recommend!

Bouncing Back from the Pandemic”
We had such a wonderful stay in Fort Ilocandia! We went there before Holy Week so there weren't a lot of people checked in. Many amenities are not available and it's obvious that the hotel has been closed for quite a while due to the pandemic and has just opened back up. Nonetheless, our family loved the fact that we had the L-shaped pool, kiddie pool, and Olympic pool all to ourselves. The room we booked was spacious. It was air-conditioned, well-lit, and has Wifi connection. The bathroom size was okay. Not too big, not too small. An electric heater was provided which was very helpful for us since we boil a lot of water for our baby's milk. A mini-refrigerator is also available. The closet was wide enough for our stuff. The balcony also was cozy. Everybody was friendly - from the front desk to the concierge, bellhops, and pool personnel. Food was okay. They have two restaurants within the hotel. You can opt for room service if you wish to stay in your room. The only downside I can think of was the "cable TV" wasn't working. The working channel they have is their own 'Fort Ilocandia' channel which repeats promotional videos for their hotel. All in all, I'd love to come back to this place. We really had a great time.

its old yet still iconic the property is well maintained, especially the pool area except for the bathroom, it needs to be updated/renovated too bad they stopped the free transfers to and from the city they just retained the free airport transfers. so if you are staying for business in this hotel, best to find a van that can take you around while you are in the area. there are no public transport available - its far from the center of the city - unless you came in by car and not by plane. great place to stay for a vacation with the family - the pool area is huge and there is a myriad of activities to choose from not only for the young children but also for the young at heart there's fishing, a driving range, atv's, firing range and water sports

Super affordable! The only hotel in Laoag that is known to many! Super ganda tho hindi na operational ang mga amenities but still nakakarelax ang place! Super lamig ng rooms even if we turned off the aircon, the pools are clean very well maintained kahit skeletal pa rin ang workforce ng staff and very friendly sila. Worth keep coming back to this place! Thank you FIR!

So recommending this place, its clean, food are tasty, staff are well mannered and kind. I particularly booked to this hotel because it was near to all the tourist spots and museum we want to visit. I'll return to this hotel before the year ends.

The Fort Ilocandia Resort Hotel is quite a serene place to stay a holiday in Ilocos. Its expansive quiet surroundings, solid buildings and interiors, quaint brick spanish architecture, clean grounds and beautiful gardens highlighted by bright bougenvillas provide a relaxing stay. The hotel itself provide a visitor with many photo opportunities because of its beautiful interior and exterior structures and garden areas. The room is clean though needed bathroom refurbishment which is quite outdated and old. The food at their Cafe Ilocandia is simple but filling and good. The staff we met at the restaurant are polite and served us well. Their swimming pool is good for a swim and a dip in the afternoon or early morning. it is clean though needs refurbishment or scrubbing because its quite old.

Outstanding place while staying in Ilocos Norte”
The place has almost everything a tourist wants: a quiet beach, wide spaces to roam around, historical photographic exhibits, an archery and shooting range, 4-wheeler for hire but most of all a warm and highly accommodating staff. Great breakfast. The only unfavorable aspect is the limited menu for dinner.

Surprisingly good ”
Stayed here a few yrs back and was given an old room which i did not enjoy at all. This time i was given a renovated room which was 2thumbs up- spacious, clean and had a patio Yey!. Check in was fast, staff friendly and courteous, bfast buffet was surprisingly very good. Value for money coz i got a last min reservation thru agoda at a discount. Will definitely come back

A great FIRST!”
This is the first time my family visited Ilocos Norte and staying in FIR is a great decision. My TOP 5 reasons: 1. An amazing staff! We travelled from NCR for 9.5 hours and my wife, my kid of 4 and I are all tired so I called the hotel and asked what the earliest time we could check in so we could rest. We were allowed in at 10AM! And they are all available to serve 24/7. 2. Superb room! For its discounted prize, the room is soo cozy, very luxurious even! Cozy beds, hot tub, huge closet, mini fridge, a view to the beach, what an awesome life! 3. Amenities. We have a 4-year old, very energetic son and his time spent at the zoo, the pool and the beach are a whole lot of fun. 4. Location. I am not sure about the other hotels but this one is close to City center, gas stations, convenience stores and places where we can run to at midnight when we need anything! Plus the lobby has 2 ATMs so no need to worry about cash! 5. Instagrammable scenery. The hotel structure, the water fountain, the lagoon, the “ranch”, the zoo and the beach - all amazing backdrops for a good family picture and instagram post! ANIs: These are not necessarily bad, but maybe things that can make the hotel even better: 1. Microwave - i wished I could have something to warm my food at midnight. 2. TV - Not sure if this was a hardware problem or a network problem but but there are times that it was hard to recognize faces and/or read the subtitles because the screen was grainy/blurry. Just love watching before going to bed.

This is my 7 years old daughter. Everything is in there. Beach and pool, very comfy large rooms all with balcony. Ask for a room overlooking a pool view. Room 340 is one of the rooms with great views. Good is great too. Near to a lot of attractions. Paoay church, sand dunes, paoay Lake. Malacanang of the North .patapat Bridge is an hour and a half going to Pagudpud Saud beach, Bangui Windmills and Pamurawan. Great place to stay. 20 minutes to laoag city.

Hotel room and bed is big. Buffet breakfast. Only the cornbeef is too salty but other food are all good. They have three swimming pool, a mini zoo and other recreation that you can enjoy.
