"If your landing in this sleepy town late at night after weeks on a shoestring budget, then this hotel is an oasis. It's clean and professional. Elevators and airconditioning. The staff have a formal, trained feel to them. And the breakfast is real - you know what i mean if you've traveled a bit. The location is fine, easily found. The town is so small, though, that location praise borders meaningless. You will want a scooter to explore the area anyway - ao manao, monkey mountain, the three to five streets, their markets and restaurants.. I will go again. Prachuap Khiri Khan is a relaxing place to slow down and recharge on your travels. It would also be a great part of this beautiful country in which to retire. The people have retained the old Thai smiliness and hospitality. It's the provincial capital, i believe, and this could well account for the obvious government spending found throughout - piers, boardwalks, roads, public buildings, fresh paint, order - a surprise in contrast to towns of a similar population. If you are just passing through, then the Grand Hotel is a decent mid-range value. It lacks the personal touch of a place loved by it's owners, and wouldn't, therefore, be the best choice for a long term stay. But my family and I appreciate it for what it is. If you're researching this town and intend to stay for some time, then include Kui Buri, Bang Saphan, and the other surrounding communities within reach, as I will on my next trip. First time around I was wary of dedicating too much time to a tiny town of little reknown, but already having determined to return, I will certainly explore further. What a stunning country that such beauty can remain on the outskirts of mass tourism for so long. We've been guests in Thailand on six trips over ten years, each at least a month long. Enjoy."

"I stayed here with my friend for 3 nights on our way to south to Ban Krut. Hotel is extremely clean and well maintained. The hotel was surprisingly completely full but didn't see but few souls around. Room was quiet and had very good and quiet ac with fabulous sea view. No balcony. They dont have a restaurant on their own but serve free coffee (instant) all day long and has cheap prices for beverages at a lobby. You can also bring your own food and drinks and enjoy them at a terrace with a sea view. They have also brand new cafeteria at the terrace where a young boy prepares the best coffee you can get in Thailand. Americano with milk only 50bahts. Prachuap is a little nice town and great for few days stay. Extremely safe, clean and quiet. You can find mant restaurants nearby. Ciao pizza and Top Deck (our favourite on this holiday so far). Prachuap is not great for swimming and the hotel neither the beach has sun loungers. Make a trip to Ao Manao to see wild langur monkeys. You can also feed them and they are the friendly ones. If you take a saleng (tuktuk) there you need to rent s bike from ao manao in order to cross the runway to the observation area. If in good fit climb to the mountain next to it and get the views from 300m height. It takes about 45-60mins to get there. Older owner of the hotel speaks good english and is very helpful. Worth visit and will be my choice if I ever go back to Prachuap Khiri Khan"

"New hotel and some confusion about finding it because it has signs for both Golden Beach Resort ( original name ) and Golden Beach Boutique Resort ( new name). Other than that it was great. Good location across from the beach. Views in every direction. Staff very helpful and friendly. Good restaurants near by. Super clean. Breakfast is fine. Bicycle and motorcycle rentals. "

"The resort don't even have a reception counter for check in, no proper service, a drunk Thai security guard who can't speak a word of english serve for check in. very poor maintain, restaurant has been not.operated for a long time. no conveniant shop, the resort is lying in city center, actually is 5km away from the city. using a fake account in facebook and in google map with a sheraton huahin resort to lie the resort is at beach front. very dark in the night time, i was only one room staying there, but the in Agoda booking show some rooms are sold out. worst is I call the phone number +66819718880, a lady reply the resort has a reception for check in, that is how she daring to lie. booking was highlighted pay at property, so i wany to pay at property, she answer can not, musy only pay by credicr card. Then she charge 3% added without my approval. i check around the resort was completely like abandon haunted resort. I even found a banner, the resort was up for sale. really desapoint "

"I stayed in Twin Bedroom for 1 night,in my opinion it's overpriced, too pivate but a bit far from Prachuap Bay and night market. room is all clean but there's no hair dryer."

"We stayed here one night with two kids 5 and 9. We had the connecting room on the far corner, a spacious clean and comfortable 4 bed- 2 bathrooms setup. Very good as this was only connecting to one other room. There is no coffe or tea in the room, but we were served coffe from the small dining area by the reception when asked for it. 200 bath in deposit for the keys which was returned after room inspection. Everything worked flawlessly and wifi was ok. There is a separate "cleaning" room with a faucet. The beds were comfortable and staff was very gentle. We would stay here again! Good pricing! Coming in saleng from a nearby village to Prachuap, the drive over the bridge over the railway felt a bit dangerous. So instead we went around and took the smaller roads downtown Prachuap. Good parking right outside the room. The small dining area also has a "bare necessities" corner for anything you might have forgotten, toothbrush, underwear, sanity, baby powder, deodorant, instant noodles etc. Very thoughtful. 7-eleven is however right around the corner. Breakfast could have served some fruit and it had been absolutely perfect. "
