Best highlight of our Japan trip!”
It was the most wonderful stay at Konansou. The traditional ryokan experience is so totally worth the price. We stayed at a Japanese-style tatami room with Mt Fuji view. It was expensive so we only stayed a night, but the service provided to us was top-notch. We were shown to our room by a concierge host during check-in. It was also raining the day we checked-in, when they brought the luggage to our room, it was wiped clean. The room we booked is huge and spacious, and very very clean. We also loved the rooftop foot bath. We had a private onsen with a stunning view of Mt Fuji from our room, so it's really nice to take a dip any time you'd like. The sound insulation between the balcony (private onsen) and the room is really good as well. Once you shut the door, it's so quiet and peaceful. Our package includes the kaiseki dinner served to us in-room, which was fantastic. Overall, it's a place I would recommend to my friends and family if they'd like to try the experience of ryokan.

Beautiful location, delicious food”
We stayed here 1 night to complete our 3 week trip to Japan. The hotel was easy to travel to/from (if traveling by public transportation make an advance reservation for bus to Kawaguchiko station, then call the hotel shuttle for a ride from the bus station to the hotel). We booked a room with a private hot tub which was terrific. The hot tub wasn’t working for the first two hours after check in—they quickly fixed it and gave us access to the private bath in the meantime which was also amazing. The dinner served in our room was absolutely delicious with wonderful hospitality from our host, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was terrific. This was a great way to end our vacation and well worth it.

Amazing!!! The place is classy and elegant!”
I stayed two nights. Amazing staff, hotel, food and cleanliness. They might not know English like I do but they know enough to converse and answer any questions I had. My room had a lake view not the Mt. Fuji but you can reserve the private Onsen and have Mt. Fuji for an hour. Let’s just say I didn’t want to leave. Also want to share that I was at the Onsen March 31 and I was lucky to have clear weather one day to see Mt. Fuji and snow the next!!! Loved it! I would definitely go back. Also note I was on a mother and son trip. My mother loved it as much as I did.

Location is facing the kawaguchiko lake. Nice view. But u can only see mt fuji when u go to the roof deck. There is onsen up there but only for foot soak. With the view of mt fuji on one side and d lake on the other side. Bfast buffet was good. Many choices. Asian and western. Red line bus stop right infront of hotel entrance which is nice. Free shuttle to kawaguchiko station too. Staff is nice and good english. Room is clean with good amenities. Will stay here again. Only con not much restaurant at night. Have to take taxi to other place for dinner. Taxi is pricey

A bit of a walk from Kawaguchiko Station. But there is a shuttle service available from the hotel back to the station. Absolutely beautiful location. We booked a room with private onsen and a view of Mt Fuji. The living room was very spacious. You can access the private onsen from the living room. The kaiseki dinner course was served in the room. The hostess will give you a few options for dinner times. Absolutely wonderful course meal. If desired, you can choose to have the futons set up in the living room. Otherwise there is a bedroom with beds to sleep in. The toilet is in its own separate room. The powder room (sinks and vanity area) is fully equipped and comes with the option of heated flooring. Bathing area comes with bathtub and showering area. Private onsen was absolutely delightful. The view of Mt Fuji was stunning. Breakfast buffet available. Highly recommended. Would definitely come back.

Well worth the splurge!”
We booked one of the two Mt. Fuji Private onsen rooms and I was a bit concerned with how nice the room and hotel will be given how much money we were spending. The online photos aren’t always currently accurate, but the moment we arrived to the lobby, all my fears were gone! Konansou was absolutely worth every penny, especially for our room. It was huge! The view of Mt. Fuji was spectacular! Everything was of the highest quality from the in room dinner service to all the amenities. Our personal hostess, Hikari, was very helpful and her English was well enough for us to understand. If you have every wanted to see Mt. Fuji while bathing in a private onsen in a beautiful place, book here. You won’t regret it.

The most amazing holiday experience i’ve ever had!!”
I came here as a Christmas present to myself! The experience was simply amazing!! Literally top tier!! The room, the views, the food…simply outstanding! The staff is attentive and friendly. I highly recommend booking an in-room shiatsu massage after dinner. Walking distance of the ropeway and Pleasure boat. Rd Ljne bus stop is right across the street. I know little to no Japanese but the staff knew English and even gave me discounted fares on the attractions I would be visiting. I have not one negative thing to say about this hotel. Even the onsen was amazing. I highly suggest to book a private onsen for the amazing views. The rooftop also has amazing views of Fuji

If only I could give 6 stars”
It was the best ryokan stay ever! Service was impeccable with the staff sharing on nearby attractions with vouchers for discounts. The room is huge and with a private onsen facing Mt Fuji, we didn't want to get out of the onsrn. After checkout, we realised we forgot some items in the fridge after check out they were so quick to arrange a courier to send to us in Tokyo. The staff even liaise with our Tokyo hotel directly to ensure we got our items. Can't get better than the experience at Konansou. Will definitely return on our next trip to Kawaguchiko! Thank you for the wonderful experience.

worth it!”
The room was spacious, clean and with nice view of Lake Kawaguchiko. The food was very good seasonal Japanese cuisine. The foot spa is at the rooftop and with view of Mt. Fujiyama and Lake Kawaguchiko. If you're lucky (I was), you can even enjoy the morning onsen with the Fuji. Also, parking is free.

An extraordinary stay”
The hotel is located opposite right at the bus stop Funatsu-Hama onsen town (red line bus from train station), it’s very convenient, the cruise and cable car is also nearby. We stayed in a room with breathtaking lake view, when we arrived, we were served with tea and snacks. We went to rooftop to enjoy the foot bath, our kid love it. At night, we had wonderful dinner, our server Etsuko is very helpful and nice, she made nice origami. The public onsen is wonderful too. The buffet breakfast has many options. We had a great stay.

If you book the hotel, book the dinner option. Costed just a little bit more. One of the best dinner that I have eaten in Japan. Luxury and tasty. Like 10 courses. Breakfast was great with Japanese and Western food, coffee, tea, and juice. Very romantic, and very kids friendly hotel at the same time. Best location to view the lake. We rented a bike to go around. Shuttle to train station available: We did not try public bath. I am sure it was good. One of the best stay with food accommodation for me in Japan.

Best hidden gem we found in our travels”
The pictures don’t do this place justice. We were so happy we stayed here it was so hard to leave. Everything was perfect. The included breakfast was amazing. There was an awesome sushi place up the road near the station and a Yakiniku place that was the best we had in Japan that was affordable. Great location on the lake and we loved the roof top foot spa which had panoramic views of the lake and mt Fuji.

As close as perfect as it possibly could be ”
The whole experience was immaculate. From the check in to the check out, I genuinely have no complaints. We booked the private bath room (lake view), and I can genuinely say I’ve never felt so relaxed in my life (especially considering we booked an in hotel massage). All staff were friendly, including our personal room guide (I believe her name was Yuki). All in all, would highly recommend. I’d say the best time to go is January, as you get clear sky views of Fuji and the lake.

Wonderful stay and enjoyed Mt Fuji view”
Though pricey, it was worth every cent of it. Onsen hotel offered free shuttle to Kawaguchiko station. Booked a semi western room with lake view for 4 adults. Room was big and clean. Had a build in sauna and tub (that has a build in tv). Breakfast was good but do avoid peak hours. Dinner was perfect and staff explained all kaiseiki dinner dishes. Food was fantastic from appetizers right up to dessert. Onsen was good but did not get to try the family bath. Did however tried the rooftop foot bath that provide a good clear view of Mount Fuji. Was slippery though and a couple of us nearly slipped. Staff (both driver to reception to dinner staff) all spoke good English. Will definitely come back again if I were to visit Mount Fuji.

Great place”
Great place, clean and nice. Onsen are nice. If you don't like the small in room onsen, you could rent a private room for $32US for 50 minutes. Fits 2 people. Staffs are super nice and the upgraded dinner are great. Good breakfast buffet also.

Memorable!”
Staying at the Konansou was a highlight of our trip. We stayed in a traditional Japanese room with private outdoor bath on the balcony with a view of Mt Fuji. Our hostess who showed us to our room and served dinner was very friendly and attentive. The room was spacious. The hotel location is excellent. We enjoyed walking around the lake in the early morning. The selection was vast and tasty at the buffet breakfast. We only stayed one night but would have loved to have stayed longer.

Hotel service, experience were superb, from when they pick us up from the bus station until they drop us off at the bus station after check out. They were very welcoming, friendly and professional. The room was very spacious and beautiful, dinner was spectacular. We had an outdoor private onsen in our room with a view of Mt Fuji, it was an amazing experience. Overall, very happy with the stay and 100% would come back again in the future.

Perfect experience”
Stayed in the Mountain View Semi Western-Style Room for 1 night on a family trip. We were blessed by good weather, and were able to wake up before the breathtaking Mt. Fuji view. The Private Open-Air Bath is exceptional, and also has the mountain view. Together with the delightful staff and exquisite meals, we are already planning the next stay here!
