A mere 10-minute drive from the Fujikyu Highland amusement park, Fujiyoshida Youth Hostel offers private Japanese-style rooms, free Wi-Fi at the lobby. Coin-operated laundry facilities are on-site. The property is an 8-minute walk from Shimoyoshida Station on the Fujikyuko Line. Rooms come with a quiet interior with a tatami (woven-straw) floor and neutral colours. All rooms are fitted with traditional futon bedding and a low table, while some have an LCD TV. Bathroom facilities and toilets are shared. All rooms are non-smoking. Youth Hostel Fujiyoshida is a 20-minute walk from the Arakura Sengen Shrine and the Chureito pagoda. Lovely town & lovely view of Mt. Fuji”

After a long day of traveling from Osaka, Fujiyoshida Youth Hostel was an wonderful place to take a much needed break. Located pretty close to the train station, this youth hostel was also really easy to find. Clear directions and signs posted on the main street. Upon arrival, the lady was so, so kind and welcoming. She gave us a tour of the hostel and made sure we had everything we needed for the night. She was so thoughtful and amazing. The facilities were extremely clean and easy to use. The shower area looked as if it were newly rennovated! Air conditioning in the room and the shower room. Our room was a tatami mat room, and we slept in comfy futons. The blankets were so fluffy and warm. Everything we needed was there! We woke up early the next morning for a short hike to the Chureito Pagoda, and the view of Mt. Fuji was absolutely breathtaking.

We spent one night at Fujiyoshida Youth Hostel. Staff was very nice to us. The place was clean. It was a bit far from station but on the way from the station to the hostel was very peaceful and nice.We arrived there in the evening and tried to find restaurant to hang out. But at night time around that area was very very quiet. I never seen any tourist places in Japan very quiet like this place.It seemed like there was no one living in that area..lol Lucky that there was a supermarket around that area still open until 8 pm.

Great value with lovely host”

Great value private room in Fujiyoshida Town. Host was very attentive and kind. Like having a caring mom/aunt in Japan. Even gave me an orange to take for my morning hike. Great base to explore hills and mountains with good views of Mt. Fuji. Highly recommended.

Good value for a great place”

The place is a ryokan house with tatami floor. They offer many facilities and the room was very clean. It’s 10-13min walk from Shimoyoshida station. Mikiko-san was very kind and helpful. She took care of us and even treat my injured toe. She’s like a mother that makes the house feel so comfortable. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and looking forward for our next visit. Arigatou Gozaimasu Mikiko-san!

割安感と安心感 　Retro inside, nice and clean”

I can recommend all foreigners to stay if you are looking for a good price one. It's definitely not fancy but worth for the price. ふじてんサマーゲレンデで滑るためこちらを利用しました。建物自体は古いレトロな雰囲気で、部屋は清掃が行き届いていてとても気持ちの良い部屋。他の宿泊者がいなかったせいか、静かに過ごせました。お風呂も綺麗で、浴槽はジェットバスでした。
