Gaji Hotel, Highly Recommended”

Gaji Hotel, was great. The rooms are well presented and clean. The food was outstanding, I had the best biriyani here, the menu is concise and offers Indian and Korean cuisine. The decor is well thought out and there are views of Jaisalmer Fort from either the Rooftop restaurant or the balcony running the length of the 2nd floor. Gaji was a great host, non-pushy, with simple tricks like having the WiFi passwords posted on the wall for easy access. His local staff are friendly and competent. I went on a camel safari and was provided a complementary sunhat, and storage for our gear overnight, and for the three tourists from Hong Kong who came on the safari but were leaving Jaisalmer directly on return a room and shower was provided at no extra cost. I highly recommed Gaji Hotel.

One of the best stays in all of India ”

I’ve been traveling across SE Asia and India for 4 months. I’ve stayed at a wide range of dozens of hotels and Gaji might be the very best one yet. Location is great, price is very fair, room is clean with good air con, and restaurant is one of the best in town. But, the real magic lies in the staff. Gaji himself is a very active owner, meeting me on my bus to give me a ride to the hotel, and repeatedly asking me how things were going. Ali the front desk person is also incredible, sorting out a camel safari for me (the one through the hotel is excellent and very good for the price) and a bus to the next city. Overall this is the absolute best place to stay in Jaisalmer. Thanks for having me, guys!

Great hotel, definitely recommend Gaji hotel! ”

The hotel is located in an area which is easily accessible and close to major attractions around Jaisalmer. Rooms were clean and had basic amenities like hot water, which gives value for money. The best part of our stay was how friendly the staff were and how helpful they were. We also loved the desert safari organized by Gaji hotel- very authentic and interesting in Khuri village. We went on camel rides, had a lovely meal and spent a night in the desert. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Jaisalmer.

Excellent Hotel Staff. ”

Clean rooms, perfect location, perfect view but the best thing about Gaji Hotel is the staff.. They are the friendliest and most courteous people I've ever met , once you are in Jaisalmer you need not worry about anything. They will arrange everything for you, your stay, your tour, your pick up/drop, everything! They also have beautiful rooftop restaurant which serves delicious food. 😋😋😋😋

If you want to take one or two days in jaisalmer i highly recommend you to stay in gaji hotel, everything is fine i even took the camel safari to thar desert from hotel and that was amazing. Will definitely choose the same hotel if i return to jaisalmer someday.

Great staff, comfortable rooms”

We had a really comfortable stay at Gaji hotel thanks to the awesome staff. They genuinely want to know how your getting on and are great at making suggestions without being pushy at all. The room was large and comfortable with working AC, fan, hot showers and comfy bed. Our room had a stunning view of the fort. The rooftop restaurant is also fantastic and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend Gaji Hotel and would definitely return to stay again.

Fantastic stay and staff members”

I really enjoyed my stay at Gaji hotel with my family members for almost 03 days. Mr. Ali at the desk and Mr. Gaji at Sam Dunes - coordinating tourists at Stay-Inn were very much cooperative and provided every kind of assistance. Rooms were clean and hot water was available 24 hours. Staff members were much cordial and helpful. Food quality was excellent and most of the foreigners were preferring it. Jeep safari and camel safari arrangements at Stay-Inn were very good. Overall great experience. I would like to stay at the same place again and again.....

Ali and Gaji Hotel crew were most accommodating. Warm, Friendly service with professional attitude. Room was clean, and has the best view of the fort. Restaurant food is ok but one get to enjoy a nice breezy night on the rooftop with a view. Will return to Gaji if in Jaisalmer. Thank you Ali. Next time we may take on the camel safari.

Stay at Jaisalmer !”

We really loved this hotel! The employes were very kind and helpfull. The hotel picked us at the train station and also drived us back for our departure without charging anything. The location was also perfect, calm and quiet and from 10min walk to the Jaisalmer Fort. The restaurant on the roof top has an amazing view on the city and the Fort. Housing one of the best restaurants in Jaisalmer on the roof, this place provides great views, the friendliest staff we’ve come across in India, and comfortable rooms. For great prices, the rooms are big, have hot water, and most have a view of the fort

Exceptional”

First of all amazing location. Closeby to sunset point, but at the same time 15 minutes walk to almost all of sightseeing places. You get amazing view from their rooftop restaurant over the jaisalmer fort. Very quiet neighborhood. Very clean rooms, they even changed our towels everyday. Their restaurant deserves separate paragraph. Even though we didn’t try Indian cuisine there, but Korean menu and dishes was just amazing, super yummy!!!!

Great Hotel and the best staff!”

The staff was very friendly and helpful, Since the Check-in we felt like at home, we booked a Safari with them and it was a great experience. They have the best view of the city on their terrace. At the end they took us to the train station when we left Jaisalmer. Amazing stay.

Bit only needed fan. Food at rooftop restaurant was very good but the price was accordingly a bit higher. Internet was good. Wifi strong and stable. Recommended

OK for a short stay only ”

Pros: - near to main road - comfortable bed - spacious bedroom - aircon included - delicious rooftop meals (serves Korean, Indian & basic western dishes) - friendly and helpful staff - near to thar heritage museum (note: the museum is just a very small shoplot with historical items on display. Owner is very knowledgable with the history). - safe location and hotel - beautiful rooftop scenic view - good wifi Cons: - moderate noise pollution (mild noise from vehicle horns, but very noisy stray dogs in the area) - no elevator in hotel - hot water only available for a short time (approx 5 minutes of showering before it turns to cold water) - small and tight toilet space (showering with a pail and bucket) - power socket burned out our hairdryer Overall OK for a short stay (we only stayed for 2 nights). The hotel also offers a desert camel tour and gave us a map regarding the hotel area. Note: it’s very difficult to get a sim for non-Indian tourists, and some international sims do not work. so best to prepare your trip well especially with addresses as you’ll need it when you do not have access to wifi.

We received a very warm welcome from Mr Ali, the hotel person in charge. All the people in this is very friendly as well. Mr Ali brought us around his hotel , helped on the itinerary sequencing for the tourist spot we plan to visit and recommended safari camel tour to us. The great thing about him is that he never force us to take the tour with him. End up we took the camel safari tour with him, it was my best experience in India. My sister left her sunglasses at the safari camp, the staff found it and communicated us. it was sent back all the way from the camp 1hr trip to us and we really feel greatful to them. We really enjoy and never regret it.
