BEST CHOICE THAT I MADE THE ENTIRE TRIP!”
Endless praises for this lovely place. 1) we checked in at about 12midnight and the staff gave us really precise instructions on how to get the keys 2) I love the systems and organization they have. Upon entering, you will know to remove your shoes and use their indoor sandals provided. Their shower at late night takes awhile to get warm and they have a signage indicating what you should do. But once it is heated up, it is really powerful and you'll have a good shower. Every single design is so well thought of that you feel so comfortable even though the bathrooms are shared 3) Great design, lovely and helpful staff, location was fantastic, and place was really new too! Highly recommend you to book this place

Well-kempt Ryokan with god basic amenities”
It's clean and overall a pleasant stay. Not near the subway but there is a bus stop along the main road which is only a few minutes walk. There is also Lawson right outside. Hot water is provided along with bath amenities. The owner really made it a point to keep the place clean.

Great fun for groups”
As a group booking a room for five, it was great fun being able to pull our futons next to each other and have a fun sleepover feel kind of night. There was also space available in the dining area or upstairs common room to play games. Heating was available in all the rooms which was great for the winter, plus spare blankets available. Gion Ryokan Q-Beh was also conveniently between the main street of shops and the older style small shops in the backstreets.

Convenient and warm place”
I liked how it's so close to convenience stores, places to buy souvenirs, many attractions. The staff was very friendly and the toilet facilities are well maintained. I would wish the sheets are newer bcos the pillow and mattress were very flat.

Good location and atmosphere ”
The hostel itself is a traditional Kyo house at the traditional district, you can really enjoy the unique atmosphere in Kyoto. And the location is good, Yasaka Jinja(八阪神社）、Kodaiji(高台寺)、Kiyomizudera(清水寺）are just in few minutes walking distance. Definitely will stay again in the future.

The location is very convenient since it is already in the historical streets of Gion. The place is very clean, the shower is small and you have to constantly press the button in order for the shower to operate. But it doesn't matter since everything works well and you have enough room space for changing your clothes. The toilets also have a separate room from the shower so it is hygienic. The bed matress is clean and comfortable. The staffs are friendly, helpful and kind. They can speak English so it's not a problem if you can't speak Nihongo. Just ask them which places they recommend to visit in Kyoto and you'll be amazed. The common room is a tatami-type and most travelers here are also friendly. Plates, chopsticks, cups, bowls, heater, and microwave can be used for free. You can also watch TV in the common area. I'll definitely stay here again when I go back to Kyoto. - Martin (Philippines)

Clean and charming”
I've stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed it immensely. Pros: Onsen Bath Old Japan ambiance Kitchen available for use; coffee and tea available for guests for 24 hours. Friendly staff Cons: A bit far from the train station but very near Kodaji Temple, Maruyama Park, Yasaka Shrine, Kiyomizu-dera. Have to paf accommodatiom tax.

The Keihan railway "Gion-Shijo station" and Hankyu railway "Kyoto-Kawaramachi station" is about 10-15minutes walk away from here but if you want to take buses, the bus stops are very nearby. A bit of affordable luxury. ”
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay here. Really close to the bus stop and walking distance to many of the other ryokans for onsen hopping. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive and spoke English. The room was really spacious and tea was provided for when we arrived. The indoor private baths are lovely.

Good place great service”
The entire ryokan was so nice, it looks exactly as the picture. Nice with lots of facilities and the staff were helpful. However, the shower temperature is unstable, it gets very hot or very cold in a short time which is annoying me. Other than that everything is GREAT! Highly recommended!

Beautiful Ryokan is the old part of Kyoto”
We had a private room that overlooked the courtyard. It was spacious and comfy. The Ryokan is beautiful and clean. The facilities, like kitchen, where fully equipped and both Japanese and western sitting. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

Nice ryokan experience”
My family enjoyed staying at Q-beh. Basic accommodations in a traditional style. One needs to be comfortable with shared bathrooms and showers. Our private room was spacious and clean and the communal facilities were well-maintained. The location was fantastic - a close walk to many attractions in an interesting part of town. While Gion seemed crowded during the day, the street where Q-beh is located was quiet. The staff was a bit reserved/quiet, but helpful when prompted.

Everything seems to be walking distance from the hostel. Such a good place to stay if you want to be close to Kiyomizudera. Also, a stone's throw away from Yasaka Shrine. I had a lovely stay. The hot bath was also something! :)

Good ryokan style accommodation in an excellent location”
Only one complaint. Our room was not serviced one day so we didn’t get clean towels. They were provided when I asked for them. For a room that cost in excess of AUS$250 per night, I’d expect better.
