Had a lovely stay at Gipsy 2 early this year. Private villa in quiet, peaceful surrounding. Smell of burning incense. Hammock on the balcony. A good place to just be. Cant wait to visit again.

Very helpful staff”
We only stayed 2 nights here, it’s a small bungalow, clean and cosy with a comfy bed and mosiquito net, great location on walking street but what reallly stood out for us is when we left we happened to leave a bag behind, we were already on a different island and couldn’t go back, we called them up and the staff were so helpful and managed to put our bag on a boat for us so we could get it back, complete lifesave can’t thank them enough!

Perfect!”
As long as you know what you are getting into (a little rustic), this place is amazing and a great deal on Koh lipe!! We loved the location right off the walking street and an easy walk to any of the beaches- very central! We loved our little bungalow and hanging out on the hammock on our porch, very private. The manager there is also amazing- so friendly and flexible, always making up our room everyday :) would definitely stay again!

Excellent”
Absolutely the best choice for budget travels, once they don't wanna sleep in a dorm. A decent , clean bungalow with private bathroom, steps away from the main pedestrian road in Lipe, but still at a quiet spot in the forest . The family that runs the resort were friendly and helpful , but sometimes it was a bit difficult to communicate in English . No WiFi, but you find it in the main road, some 50 m away

Quiet, location, price
As usual, windy during afternoon I doesn't even need to switch on the fan. I had very comfortable and relaxing 4 days there. Just next to walking street. Will look forward for my stay over there again next time.

good value budget bungalows with extra touches”
good location, artistic design, friendly owners
This tiny boutique resort is in a great position – 50m up a short lane from the highest part of Walking Street with its big array of restaurants, shops and other businesses - and less than 5 minutes stroll from Lipe’s 2 main beaches, Pattaya and Sunset (aka Andaman). The bamboo thatch and whitewashed stone bungalows go a step or two further. We are looking at lots of small artistic touches plus extras like multiple towels, incense sticks, mozzie coils + lighters and beach mats/sarongs on demand. Inside are paintings, wall hangings, lots of dark stained wood and whitewash, nicely tiled floors in the bath room which has hot water, not all that common in bungalows of this price level. There is plenty of space for two people and their gear. The firmish double bed was comfy and the net a good one. The large veranda with hammock and chairs looked out on a garden setting although this contains a lot of bare earth. Main complaints were a lack of storage for luggage (the owners told me tables are on order) although there is plenty of small storage space; no wifi in rooms although free at reception; and the bungalows were a bit dark inside during daylight. Some people will complain about the lack of restaurants – but there is a vast array of very good value places nearby on Walking Street. The beachfront restaurants and sand bars with candles on mats are not too much further. One reviewer mentioned nearby bar noise but I could hear only distant music which was no means intrusive, and I’m a bit fussy in this respect. The young Spanish couple running Gipsy are friendly and obliging.

Nice tropical bungalow”
Quiete place in good location
I had nice 3 days in Gipsy 2 Rivandel. Everething is like in Agoda photo. Room is clean, no air-con, but temerature in the night was pleasent. There is mosquitoes net, and spray in the table. Very good location, in the centre of island, in wood, only 5 min walking to Pattaya beach, 7 min to Sunrise Beach, and maybe 12-15 to Sunset beach and "Lagoona" Walking street is only 80-100 meters, but location is quiet. Staff, young couple from Cataluna was frendly and helpful. They are good friend with people who working in first travel office.

perfect tropical budget chalet getaway”
central location
stayed for 5 night. excellent services.warm welcome by the spanish couple, the owner of this so called bungalow. situated in quiet location, under the lust of tropical trees, the bungalow itself is cute, open-air bathroom with modern amenities. only five minutes walking to walking street but far enough from noisy bars and traffic.excellent seafood thai restaurant and massage parlour just 5 min away and all three beaches are 10 to 15 min walking. the island itself is not too big anyway. this place is perfect for budget traveler and for long term rental. its not beach front but be careful in koh lipe. beach front chalet is not worth the money for this range of accommodation. definitely will be back and stay at this bungalow again!! dun worry about the mosquitoes as the other wrote~ mosquitoes coil and net is provided and you can buy the repellant spray at walking street at a dirt cheap price and it work! i bought the organic lemongrass insect repellent spray. works for mosquitoes and sand flies.

Cosy hut located at quiet area”
Price, furniture condition, environment, friendly receptions (couple from Barcelona)
initially i was thinking it wouldn't be any great stay but surprisingly it turns out far above my expectation, and i doesn't even feel like leaving. here's the features of the bungalow / hut: 1. every hut comes with a "cradle", you will have to take turns enjoying it if you are not solo traveling. 2. the furniture (basically only the bed) is clean and new, quite comfortable. 3. toilet is without a roof, but with a net to prevent some tree leafs / birds falling into your toilet. so all the business in toilet you are doing is open air.. by the way, toilet bowl and sink is new and clean and there is no hot water shower for all huts. 4. lots of mosquito-repellent coil and aerosol provided.you gonna need them during dawn / evening. not to worry when you sleep, every room comes with mosquito net as you can see the the hotel picture. 5. no air-cond, only a wall fan. but it is good enough during night. i didn't even switch on the fan during afternoon, because it is windy during afternoon. others: 1. in the middle of all bungalows, lots of sharing cradles for the hotel visitors. 2. a lovely couple from barcelona running this resort, with 2 friendly dogs. i fed the dog with a fried chicken from the walking street, that's how i got a watch dog in front of my hut. 3. no room service available, but there is a broom for every bungalow. the bungalow is not huge, so you may swipe away the sand on the floor all by yourself. 4. it is located very near to pooh bar and just a sloop next to walking street, despite all those bars you are still away from noises.

Simple yet easy”
I stayed here for 4 nights - the place is great. It's NOT a luxury bungalow, but it's very simple and clean. The fans could be a little stronger (none of the bungalows have AC), but the bathroom is clean and nice, the setting is cute and QUIET, thank goodness. Koh Lipe has been built up quite a bit, but Gypsy Bungalows are tucked away in the back.

Clean, comfortable, romantic & beautiful!”
Gipsy 2 is nothing short of spectacular. It's located in the heart of walking street, yet it's set back far enough that any noise won't bother you one bit. The accommodations were clean, the beds were beautifully comfortable, and the family who run the space is incredibly friendly and charming. We stayed in the Delux bungalow and the sunrise out our window each morning was stunning! Wouldn't have stayed anywhere else on the island. Two big thumbs up.

Want your own jungle style hut with nice terrace and hammock but be right in the middle of everything on the island? This is the answer! Both main beaches are a short stroll away. WiFi by the manager's hut at the entrance. Great place.

value With The price”
overall the location is near to Walking Street, near to the Pattaya beach and Sunrise beachvery peaceful envoiroment, helpful staff and very friendly. Very basic room no TV and no KETTLE, low wifi signal but no problem with that you still get the wifi. One thing about the Room is really need some renovation because the wall made from bamboo and some wall have some small hole. The biggest you have to facing is MOSQUITO!!!but the room dont worry inside the room it self got mosquito net and they supply the mosquito coil tho...overall i like it...

Very basic, but straightforward.”
Very, very basic place to stay, but up front about everything and with an incredibly sweet and helpful staff. The bungalow isn't sealed to the elements, so you can get some leaves and detritus blown in overnight if there's some wind. Mosquito net provided, though ours had three holes. Bed is comfortable. No hooks in the room so difficult to hang towels to dry, but able to make do. A good option if you're looking for a simple, budget friendly fan room option!

Sleeping with RATS”
We were supposed to stay in the Deluxe bungalow for 8 nights. The location was good, the staff was very friendly and it was inserted in a nice jungle. However, on the first night we heard some noises, we woke up and saw 2 rats inside the bedroom. We asked the owner to change to another bungalow, but he said it was normal to see rats inside the bungalows as none of them are hermetically closed. So for the next days we just "slept" hearing rats and sometimes seeing them again. On the 7th night we just couldn't sleep at all, so we have to pay one night at another hotel (owner never refund us nothing, because for him it was something normal.)

Acceptable”
Most overpriced room ever but that's koh Lipe I guess. Great location on a side road bang in the middle of walking street, so close to everything but not too noisy. The island is extortionately expensive compared to most of Thailand and I think this was one of the better value options, but paying this much for a wooden hut with a cold shower is still a rip off.

Wonderful Bungalows”
I spent 4 wonderful days in this hotel! Very friendly staff, always willing to help. At the reception, free of masks and snorkels, hot water for tea/coffee, can book tours to the nearby Islands. Located in a quiet garden, where beautiful green areas and the birds sing. Very near to Walking Street (1 minute walk to restaurants, shops, bars). Prior to Pattaya beach 5-7 minutes, until Sunrise Beach 7-10 minute walk, to Sunset Beach about 20 minutes. If there was a room for $ 10 cheaper, it would have definitely earned 10 points!

Valuable stay”
This is my 6th return to Koh Lipe, had been staying here for 5 times. Pro: The price is affordable, with hammock, location, quiteness, with cool sea breeeze almost day to night. Con: lots of giant mosquito when sun comes up and go down(recommended to buy your own mosquito repellent coil and light up at least 2 when son go down), the roof keep dropping some debris in the bungalow, it is old (at least 5 years old), toilet cant flush(asked the reception to fix it everytime i finish my business) Overall willing to come back again, but if i have more budget, will stay at others.
