AWESOME HOSTEL”

We had the best time at GD Hostel, met some great people and loved Koh Tao. The hostel is located at the far end of Sairee Beach (although that being said its no more than a 2 minute stroll to the beach and the string of bars / restaurants). As travellers we didn't want to spend every night partying on our trip, having said that we met such a good group of people that we spent most nights either having a quiet drink on the beach or partying till the small hours! There is laundry facilities just at the end of the road and the Samatha B&B next door does great breakfasts! The service we received was friendly and efficient, we couldn't have asked for more. The hostel is secure and each room has 2 adjacent toilets and showers for that room only. Rooms and facilities were cleaned daily.

Good option for Koh Tao”

Large clean room. A few tiny ants throughout the room but not much of a problem. Clean otherwise. Comfortable bed. We had a fan room and the blanket seemed a little heavy for how hot it was. Hot powerful shower with shampoo and body wash. No breakfast. Daily cleaning service. Two free water bottles every day. About 5 minutes to Sairee beach. Friendly and helpful staff. Cheapest double room option we could find in Koh Tao.

Absolutely fantastic”

There were 10 of us staying at this hostel and I think we all had a really good experience there. As soon as we arrived, the staff were friendly and spoke very good English, helping us to arrange everything for the Full Moon Party too! The beds were comfortable and were cleaned each morning. The bathroom was good, there were two showers and two toilets and this seemed to be enough for us all. The room was a fair size and was air-conditioned. Koh Tao is a small place so we were within a short walk of almost everything. All in all, a great trip! 10/10

I would recommend staying here, worth every penny to come back to a clean A/C hostel. Staff were friendly and thourough, stayed here for 4 nights and really enjoyed my stay. When I come back to koh tao, good dream hostel is the place I'll stay.

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in!”

Rooms are great, one of the best nights sleep I've had, everything is newly done and really nice and clean. Staff at reception were really friendly and helpful. 2 minutes from the beach and as an added bonus the restaurant right next to it does an amazing breakfast! Will definitely be staying there again next time I'm in koh Tao, excellent value for money.

Best time in Thailand!”

I only planned to stay two nights but I ended up with four. The staff was very helpful and kind. I had amazing roomies (had mixed dorm) and made friends for life. Love the bathroom with separated shower and two toilet so no crowding even though there were 8 of us. There is an outside mini playground/gym which I enjoyed. Couple minutes walk into town. I felt fine at night though it was wee bit dark as it is at end of the main touristy road. Always walked past this family home when I turned in and they always had friendly smiles for me. Very clean dorm and thoroughly enjoyed my stay there! Thanks!! Koh Tao is my special place now. Will definitely come back again!!

Exceptional”

This place went above and beyond for me. I was in Koh Tao doing a diving course and they always made sure I was getting enough sleep even if it meant moving me to a quiet private room. they truly care about your well-being and make you feel so secure. amazing facilities, amazing staff. great location what more could you ask for.

Best on Koh tao”

Room & bathroom cleaned twice daily, lockers are wooden for your valuables but they have CCTV outside so feels safe,room behind or above lockers for your backpack, nice feel to the rooms and nice amount if space between beds. 10mins walk to beach through village which is nice. Lots of restaurants, bars, diving schools and massage places close by. Nice restaurant very close called Samantha's, nice eggs for breakfast but I didn't like the full breakfast. The reception manager is very helpful and friendly. Checkout is 10.00am!!! And they charge if you're late, earliest check in is 10.30am and not a minute before as they are cleaning. These times are due to the ferry arrival and departure times. I will stay here again as its the best accomadation near Sairee beach.

Nice new hostel”

I personally liked it a lot. The rooms are quite new and really big, nice big balcony. If you would be picky you could say that the cushions are really hard and high and the water is never really warm, but with the current heat, no real concern. The price- value was also excellent. It is in a side street so nice and quiet but you only have to walk 300 Meter and you are in the middle of the fun. When we left Koh Tao they also offered us a free drive to the harbour.

Lovely Place! ”

Good dream was a nice hostel! Room stays cool during the day even when AC is off! Clean, friendly staff. No where to socialize really but ping pong table! Awesome location!! 5min walk to the busy bustling Main Street but that 5 min sure gives you a. I’ve quiet nights sleep! Would stay here again!

Lovely staff close to local bars and restaurants”

As a solo traveller it can be hard to find hostels that give you the opportunity to meet great people as well as having the chance for some downtime. Good Dream was a great balance between the two and all the staff were so friendly I didnt want to leave. Thank you all so much, I will be back!

Best hostel in Koh Tao?”

New hostel. Good air con, perfect location (2 min walking to Sairee Beach and to nite life) and unbelievable value for money.

Nice community, rude staff”

I got bedbugs during my time at Good Dream, but that isn't my main complaint about this hostel. The fact that there were bedbugs can be forgiven because of the amount of people moving in and out of the place, but the way they dealt with my bedbugs was where I had a problem. The manager first tried to blame me by telling me that I contracted the bed bugs on the ferry that I took to Koh Tao, but all of my bites were in areas of my body that were covered during the boat ride and I made sure my backpack was far away from all the mattresses/sheets/pillows. Next, he offered me a "special rate" on a ferry back to the mainland but a quick Google search and stroll through town told me that it was a 100 baht discount from market rate. I had asked for a refund of my laundry+drying fee and he told me that because he was giving me such a special rate, he could not offer me anything else. By that point, I was more concerned with getting my 300 baht key deposit back than anything so I accepted and moved onto a different hostel on the island. Overall, I'd say that this hostel had enjoyable people and good facilities, but my ordeal with the manager over the bedbug issue really left a bad taste in my mouth. That being said, I had a great experience with the other employees at the hostel and believe that good people work there. Hopefully other travelers will have a better time than I did.

Great place , tranquil area , supermarket on complex is handy, 5 minute walk to great beach , and 5 minute walk to central nightlife area, , Near diving school facility’s and other maritime things , very good for the price

Stayed here one night before diving. 5 minutes walk from the 7-11 on Sairee Beach. Quiet location. Not too busy but other travelers were friendly. Would stay again. Staff was funny and helpful

Wanted to like it more”

I was expecting to like this place more but the only thing it really has going for it is the staff is super nice and the location is semi-decent. About a 5 minute walk to the beach and central nightlife in Sairee Beach. The beds are like cardboard and didn't really seem that clean and there's really no social atmosphere besides meeting people in your room. You can find something with a better value for your money

spacious room with modern facility”

I am here for diving and stayed here for over one week. I pretty much like the room I have. It is very specious, here can host three people(one king size bed with one single bed). the location for me is perfect, because it is not near the main club street so it is quite here and you can have a good sleep. the bed suits, bathroom and ballon are clean. I do like this hotel!

Good Stay ”

Dream Hostel is a great location to several of the dive schools and restaurants. It’s off the main road so it’s a bit quieter as well. The facilities were clean and the staff were helpful.

Good to spend in Koh Tao”

A really clean and nice hostel. They have two showes and two toilets in the room I was staying. They didn't have any lockers, just a small save. Despite of this, I never felt that my stuff was in danger. The location is good. Close to a lot of things like restaurants and bars where you can have a good time. I experienced the guests staying there also pretty social and made some nice friends. The only con I found was that check out time is at 10:00. That was pretty strange compared to other hostels and hotels. Staff also pretty helpfull.
