A hidden getaway to paradise”
My girlfriend and I loved our stay at Good morning bungalows, it is located in a nice quiet spot on top of a hill with an excellent view of the beautiful Koh Jum landscape. It is a short walk down to the quiet almost private beach. There is a cute restaurant run by the lovely husband and wife owners that serves delicious food - our favorite was the absolutely lush coconut milkshake! We rented a moped for the day from here and rode around the island which was awesome. The bungalow is very basic, with a bedroom and bathroom. It has power and a fan. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, we would love to come back again here someday!

If you are a traveler and you want a great experience . . . .”
This is more than an accommodation it is an experience. The bungalows are located approximately 185 stairs up from the beach. There you will find your hammock waiting on the porch of your simple bungalow. It is the perfect place to enjoy the afternoon breeze in tranquility. There are less than 10 bungalows owned by a very friendly family. The bungalows had a nice variety of guests - lots of interesting travellers and families to meet while eating or relaxing in the restaurant area. Wi-Fi was available in that area and it was good while I was there. For a small place, there was enough variety on the menu and everything was delicious. Try the panang curry, yum! I stayed 7 days and my bungalow was cleaned after the third day. The monkeys visited three times while I was there . . .they are fun to watch and I could easily hear the ocean while laying in my hammock watching the sun go down. I had a massage at the bungalows and it was good (350 baht) and there is also a great location at the bottom of the stairs. The hosts provided a beach mat to enjoy the sandy beach. There is also good snorkeling. There are only about 30 to 40 bungalows on this stretch of beach so its the perfect place to relax. There is a small beach bar at the north end of the beach to enjoy some beverages. If you are looking for some quiet time by the sea . . . this may be your place!

A Hidden Treasure”
Set above the beach on top of a hill is Good Morning Bungalows. A family business run by a very gentle husband and wife team, Ron and Jind, who know what people want and they sure deliver. Nothing is too much of a problem. A very peaceful and relaxing place with the freshest and flavoursome food coming from the kitchen. The Bungalows are clean and have everything you need. We came for two days, stayed five and are sad to be leaving. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Second time a charm!”
I returned to Good Morning Bungalows for the second time and was not disappointed. The food was delicious and the staff/family so friendly. Swinging in the hammock in the warm ocean breezes, snorkeling, sharing a drink at a beach bar, and walking on a deserted beach were favorite memories.

Amazing!!! Best place on Koh Jum”
We were immediately greeted with smiles and care as soon as we stepped foot on the island. Ron and his family are amazing and really helpful. Made us feel genuinely cared for. The restaurant is incredible, we ate there every night and some of the best shakes we had in thailand! The bungalow itself (morning room) although quite hot, the view is incredible and perfect for sunrise over the jungle. It was clean and authentic. Also only a walk down some stairs to the beach or down a hill to the village. Thank you so much for having us!

Rather basic hut on hill - room size small (not 32 m^2 as advertised)”
Booked the *morning room* which is the cheapest category. It said in the description that the room is 32 m^2. This is totally false. 9 m^2 would be more accurate so rather tiny. When we entered the room we saw a few ants running around in the bathroom . Looking around we even saw them on the bed. Let the manager know about - he gave us spray. By spraying we made the horrible discovery that there was a nest of ants hidden in the doorframe. Literally thousands and thousands of ants. The manager used to spray cans to get rid of them. He cleaned the bathroom somewhat after that but there were still dead ants sprinkled on the soap etc ... PLUS i got a headache from the insecticide... they didn’t offer us to change rooms which I would have prefered by then. Bathroom itself smelly, and has its best years already seen.... Pick up from ferry Ko Lanta- Krabi was Easy however: we called them the day ahead and let them know which ferry we were on. It’s the first stop from Koh Lanta. We were distributed on different long tails. At the beach the boy from the resort picked us up by motorcycle. Coming from Ko Lanta the service didn’t cost us anything, going back they charged 50 Baht /person. Convenient location of the bungalows: there are many small supermarkets on the main road & two lovely restaurants where you can eat (ban ban & halal food) Can recommend this only to travellers who are not too picky about hygiene.

Pleasant jungle abode”
+ Free longtail boat pick-up and tuk-tuk ride in from the ferry + Friendly and accommodating staff who speak good English + Clean bungalow and spacious attached bathroom; the bed had a memory foam topper (!!!) + Excellent curries (green + massaman) + Only 188 steps (down) to the beach (you can rest easy knowing that you're safe from tsunamis on the hill) + The nearby beach is very quiet, with rocky outcrops that provide nice areas to snorkel in. - The call to prayer from the mosque nextdoor is loud (but novel and interesting to listen to... It could just be a rude awakening in the wee hours of the am) - 188 steps (up!) from the beach :P - we ran out of water twice when trying to shower - the French toast is not French toast... Enjoy other breakfast menu items instead.

Lovely, breezy and laid back ”
Very nice atmosphere, the family who runs the place is very nice and helpful! The food is excellent. The bungalows are clean, but be aware that you are in the "jungle" so insects and monkeys will guest you. Another thing to be aware of is that the bungalows are located 180 steps above the beach. But seeing as beach days can be quite lazy, I will consider it free exercise. And it gives the restaurant/reception area + the porch of the bungalow the perfect breezy feeling in the otherwise hot weather. That was the best part!

Amazing stay”
Amazing place for people looking for simple but excellent accommodation. Ron and his family are so kind and the cooking is simply excellent. The sunsets are also beautiful from the bungalows.

Super kind employees, good breakfast, nice bungalow ”
Very nice people. I booked the wrong night and they didn’t charge any extra when I arrived one night later. Very kind, even brought me to the ferry. Nice and clean little bungalows.

Treehouse in the jungle”
A rustic treehouse overlooking the beach...141 steps down so bring your climbing legs. The bungalows (we had sea view, but due to trees, not much sea is viewable) have attached bathroom with toilet flushed by a ladle of water which was fine for us. You can see through parts of the floor and the walls are woven, so air blows through. There is a huge , comfy bed with mosquito net and a fan. A porch for relaxing with a hammock. The couple that run the place are very kind and helpful. The food was hit and miss, we had a great barracuda in tamarind sauce, but other dishes weren’t so much of a hit. You can not have any food or even tea bags or throat drops in the room as it will attract jungle critters ! The manager can give you a plastic bin to keep things in, worked well. Bikes available to rent as well as motorbikes. It was a unique experience, the beach is lovely , but it is rustic and people need to be aware. Also, a steep hill to walk in to the bungalows.

Cute bungalow by the beach”
The staff were friendly and helpful- thankyou. The food was good in the restaurant. The beach view bungalow had a gorgeous breeze in the afternoons. We liked the quick walk down the stairs to the beach. The downside was the bed was quite uncomfortable ( felt springy) and the mozzie net was draping over our heads as we slept. A square mozzie net would be better so it feels more spacious. The bathroom very simple with bamboo pipe with cold water for a shower but we were ok with this. :)

Tranquil simplicity”
On my third visit, I was still warmed by the kind and friendly hospitality, the delicious and generous food (the best on this beach area), and the sheer tranquil beauty - simplicity at its best. I had my own wifi router which was a definite plus. It is small with just a few bungalows at the top of a hill - about 180 steps up from the beach. Swinging on the hammock, I could still see and hear the ocean. A beach mat is provided. Monkeys are regular visitors.

We left one day early for a better place that cost as much”
Beautiful surroundings and a lovely beach just below but unfortunatly you cant see it even with the "sea view" because of the vegetation. The bungalow is very simple with holes everywhere for insects to come in, I don't mind insects but everything felt dirty, the sink in the bathroom was broke so it was always water on the floor. There was a padlock to lock the door but it couldn't be locked from the inside due to a rusty hatch. The mosquito net was to small for the bed and it was laying on top of you in your sleep. The nice thing was the terrace with monkeys playing outside our first day when we arrived but the owner quickly came with a soft airgun and they ran away obviously scared of him. The roof was made of asbestos without any cover. You can get much better on ko jum for the same money if you just go there.

Amazing view, relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. ”
I booked for 1 night and stayed for 4 nights, just could not have enough from nature, the sea, the bushy green jungle and nice people's smiles. I would recomand this place away from busy-rushy consuming vibes.

Nice accommodation ”
It’s situated on the hill so you can have a nice view on sea and nature or if you are older it can be difficult to climb up from the beach. Staff is nice and they do free pick up when you come on island don’t worry about let them know-people from pier make call for you and they come in few minutes.
