A great place to stay! ”

goStops Varanasi is a lovely place to stay. Just a 10-20-30 min walk from the main Ghats of varanasi, and lots of stuff to see and explore nearby. Perfect if you want some quiet alone time - there are plenty of comfortable places to relax in comfort, and plenty of space for heaps of guests and a lively atmosphere. The staff are kind, helpful and hard-working, but also put on some great tunes and entertainment for a lively atmosphere and seem to enjoy their work. The place is exceptionally clean, much praise to the cleaning staff! Only thing i'll note is that it sucks having to climb to the roof every time you need the bathroom (for 14-bed dorm) because the only one on the ground floor is usually occupied. Menu also needs some work - wasn't too enticing. The coffee and drinks are awesome though. Would highly recommend to groups - there's plenty of space and entertainment. Solo travellers might get a bit bored here sometimes. Thank you for the welcome stay :)

Great vibes and amazing staff!”

I stayed in this hostel for almost 10 days and it's one of the best I’ve ever been! Great vibes, amazing staff, delicious breakfast and good location (10 minutes from the Ghat in a quiet road). The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They make you feel at home, always smiling and willing to help; you can ask them (almost) everything and they will do their best to accommodate your requests – going above and beyond the call of duty. They organize cool tours to explore different areas of Varanasi. Saurabh is an amazing and funny guide, very knowledgeable of the city. He will make sure that you see the best of Varanasi! At the reception, Mahesh, Sonu and Vishal are super kind and polite. During the day, Sonu will check if you have had enough food and tea (if not, he will share his lunch with you :)) while Vishal will ensure that all the rules of the hostel are respected ;) The breakfast prepared by the lovely Mina is super good and it’s a great start of the day!

We had a great stay at GoStops Varanasi. The staff are helpful and attentive. We particularly liked Shubham, a very friendly, very respectful and a genuinely decent guy. The tours are simple and educational. The WiFi is good. The shower in our room was really good. The only negative I have is that the air con in our room gave us sore throats, not sure if there’s anything they can do about that though... 9/10 👍🏼

Great place ”

I only stayed 1 night I arrived in Varanasi at 10am in the morning and left the next day at 12pm , I only had a sort time to see Varanasi but because I stayed at Go Stops I saw so much. I took part in their afternoon walking tour that finished at the Arti ceremony , so I saw soo much the manager who runs the tour showed us so much of the city he’s a registered tour guide . I stayed a private room and only for one night. It had the bathroom in the room, hot water worked fine. I did a sunset morning tour the next morning, then I left , but I met ppl as well because the staff have activities and tours to make ppl meet which is so good. I could not have stayed longer in Varanasi as I had no time, but the short time I was there I saw and learnt and met ppl because of the hostel!! I recommend it

Great vibe, nice breakfast and good tours”

We really enjoyed staying here for two nights The hostel is in a good location, the staff are friendly and the free breakfast plentiful. We took advantage of a couple of the tours which were a great way to see the city and to meet others staying at stops. Chai and biscuits are served at 3:30 which again is a nice way to meet others and exchange stories. The only negative was the private room was very cold and the heater didn’t really have much impact. The hostel can also arrange airport transfers which in a maze like Varanasi is really appreciated.

You should choose this hostel in varanasi ! The most awesome place that i ever have! Staff are so funny and provide lots of information to you! They also plan lots of varanasi tour with reasonable price! Location is good ! You can find supermarket just cost 10mins by walk ! Breakfast is super yummy! Definitely this hostel is my top 1 in india

This hostel is a little safe heaven in Varanasi. Although not on a super location you can reach everything notable within half an hour. There are numerous excursions that start from Stops and the guides speak English well. The place itself is well maintained and the common area's are well decorated. It's up to you to make the most of your stay and use the best thing here..., the fellow travellers that are also staying at Stops.

Fantastic Holi!!”

We visited Varanasi during holi and goStops gave us a blast! Met new friends in the hostel and played holi together. All are good. Breakfast is a bit expensive though.

great hostel ”

I stayed in August 2018 for just one night I arrived at 11am and left 11am the next morning. I didnt have much time, but wanted to experience Varanasi and the staff are great, because of them I saw so much. They arrange tour and I was there the staff took us on a evening walking tour, we were supposed to do a walk and boat cruise , but because of floods no boats were out and this walking tour conducted by hostel staff was amazing we saw soo much They also gave us some tips or nice food and cheap good price too. I stayed in a private room, it was clean and good enough for 1 night and had aircon. IT was good they got people to meet and socialise and they operated activites. I am too old for dorms these days and I have stayed in many backpackers in dorms in my life and this place brought back memoires of my backpacking days, but with my own comfort of a private room. stay here and if you just have a short time, staying here you will see the main highlights.

Nice Hostel with Good Atmosphere”

Wonderful, knowledgeable, easy going staff is the best part about Stops. Also I really appreciated the FREE breakfast (most hostels I've had to pay) and they coordinated many group activities. Though the A/C wasn't working in our room, I still slept comfortably. I wish it was slightly closer to the river but I think it's still a good location away from the major hustle/bustle of Varanasi. Would recommend!

I had a fantastic stay at the hostel. The place is spacious, clean and in a quiet area. The staff is very courteous and made our stay comfortable. It is a bit away from the ghats, so one needs to hire an auto from the hostel to get to most places. Will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Great social stay”

Stops was a great place as a solo traveler. I stayed in the air-conditioned dorm room and it was clean, cool and the bathroom was great. The hostel had lots of social areas, so you could meet like minded travellers or find a quiet nook. Staff were a bit hit and miss, some were more interested in their phone then helping when you had questions. And it would be better to stay in the old part of town, which has really charming lanes. But great none-the-less.

Great hostel with a good social scene. I was there for Holi and I met a fantastic group of people to celebrate with. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help. I felt very welcome. Downsides for me: It was a little pricey for a private room. It’s also further from the ghats than I preferred but definitely walkable.

Little bit Disappointed ”

Was my 3th time and hostel lost his charm. Before was the best breakfast in India and was also a moment to meet other travelers. They also stop the free tea time, another good moment that was given to this hostel a special place And this time, the worst was I got bitten by bedbugs. Staff is amazing and I went because of them, but don’t think will book it again Location is not the best and there are other new options in better places

Everything is great. Great and helpful crews. Young people, all speaks good English, descent package for tours, help you to get descent market price for shopping. Room is ver clean. You can meet lots of people from all around world here. It is a bit of far from the ghats.

Sonu & Pallavi go out of their way to help you. Friendly and helpful staff. They organize everyday activities making it easy to make friends. Hostel is not too far from prominient locations. 14 beds room very spacious with comfortable beds. Clean bathroom. Very huge common area and Great social atmosphere Will surely comeback here again!!
