Clean and convenient”

I found the room better than expected. It's obviously a typical Japanese business hotel, but the management made all efforts to make it as comfortable as possible. You won't see any fancy design here, but the room is equipped with everything necessary. It was spotless clean too. Our twin room was very simple and the only window lead to the next building (so close you can reach it with your hand). It was very dark also, the daylight doesn't reach it because of the building shape. However there is enough room to open 2 suitcases and put out your belongings. There is a table with a TV and a mirror just right for doing your makeup, and there's a small table and 2 sockets at the head of the bed too. Location is really strategic, Nankai railway is 5 min away, metro is 10 min and bus stop to Itami is 5 min away. There are a lot of eateries nearby, as well as 'Namba parks' shopping mall. It's not extremely enjoyable, but it's comfortable enough to stay in Osaka.

We booked this hotel at the last minute and still get the great price. Compared to the hotel around the Namba station, this hotel is a little bit old but if you are looking for convenience location and spend most of your time at the sight seeing spots, this place maybe for you. The room is clean and decor is like any other business hotel. The down side is the bathroom-- it has black spot on the white plastic around the sink. That makes me feel uneasy. Other issue is the air conditioning-- it blow directly to your head. We visited in Dec so it's Ok to have heat blowing on my face-- but I can't imagine if it's cold air blowing to my head-- I will have headache. During peak season (between christmas and new year), $60 USD per night is not bad at all!!!

Best Choice for Budget Travelers”

It was excellent. Room is spacious and clean. We placed a "DND" sign on the door knob but we still get our towel and bathrobe changed daily. The service staff just hung it outside our room. I would highly recommend this hotel to those budget travelers. 15 mins walk to Shinsaibashi. Near to Namba station (Around 5 mins walk). If you landed in Kansai airport, you can travel straight away from Kansai to Namba without needed to change train. Super convenient especially when you have a lot of luggage on your last day when you are heading back to the airport.

I had a comfortable stay”

Good value for money because the room was clean and they provided us with new towels and toiletries everyday. The building has elevator so it was not hard to carry the luggage. The location was convenient because it just took us 10 minutes to walk from Namba Station and 15 minutes to Dotonbori. The light of the room can be adjusted if you want a dimmer light for bed time. We saved money from station lockers because we were allowed to leave our luggage at the hotel after we checked out. We were able to maximize the remaining time before our flight.

The room might be a little small (but that's common for regular hotels) but that didn't put us down at all.. Basic amenities and room facilities were complete! The hotel location is 3-5min walkfrom Kansai Namba station for Kansai airport transit and it is close to Dotonbori with many great stores and small restaurants! We took some time to find it but with the help of police station located nearby, it wasn't hard at all. Best value for money for solo/couple travellers!

Exceptional”

I am satisfied staying for 6 nights in this hotel . . . good location for a reasonable price . . . a few minutes walk from Namba Station exit 5 and have an easy access to Nankai Namba Line to and from KIX.

Very convenient location”

Very accessible from or to KIX (Kansai International Airport) as this hotel located near to Namba Station. Furthermore, this hotel is a walking distance to Dotonbori/Shinsaibashi area which is the shopping icon in Osaka. The staffs also helpful and courteous. However, this hotel is old and need major refurbishment (although sufficiently clean) and only has one small elevator.

Near to Namba Station”

Grampus Inn Osaka Hotel is near to Namba Train station. 10 minutes walking distance to the Namba Train Station. Convenient access to other part of Osaka and to the airport by the direct line. Room is reasonable. There is an 24 hours convenient shop just near to the hotel.

Perfect for couples ..”

The hotel is few blocks away to namba station and dotombori so you can navigate your way around osaka easily.

Very very good”

It is very easy to find and very near Namba station. Close to shopping place and easy to find something to eat. Very convenience to take subway and Nankai line to Airport. Room and lobby is clean and very nice staffs. I and my son 5 years old can share bed. It was comfortable room. We will come again.

Not bad for central location ”

We traveled to Hiroshima & Kyoto for day trips. Say the canal & Dotombori in Osaka, which was fun. Close to one end of the massive train & subway station. Osaka is a big city & we enjoyed our time. Thinking of taking another day trip to see the aquarium while our Japan Rail Passes are still valid.

Based on the price, we would stay in Grampus again. Room is large then expected. Met 2 Chinese speaking Staff. One of them, a middle aged china man from XI-AN, he is very helpful.

Very convenince place”

It very close to Namba station and shopping center. You can walk to shopping center and get some food , sightseeing etc. Room was clean ,staff very nice, but not reccomended for breakfast. You can go to family mart and get something to eat there.

Namba”

Not far from Namba walk. Hotel just behind Takashimya Department store. Fresh bottle water everyday. No TV in the room, but WiFi is perfect. Happy staying.

Amazing location ”

We only had one day in Osaka so this was a perfect location close to major train stations and lots of action. we could walk to anything we could think of or hop on a train back to our hotel when we wandered too far. Room was fine. clean. compact. bed covers were cozy and the shower was actually fantastic.

Great location, friendly staff”

Location is very strategic, very near to Namba station which is one of the major train / subway station. Walking distance towards Dotonburi, which has all the magnificent food and souvenir shops. Staffs are very friendly and helpful although they can’t speak English very well.

Affordable Convenient Hotel”

Pro: The Hotel is near to exit 5 osaka metro. There is quite many family mart and food varieties around it. Hotel staff is nice to reserve the hotel for us till late check-in at 7PM. Although we did not ask for daily room cleaning service but housekeeper still ensure to prepare new towels/amenities and hang it on our door when we were out. Breakfast is small portion but with just 500Yen, you get to eat home-cooked style breakfast. Con: Aircon is very noisy if below 27deg. You can hear your neighbour talking next door if they raise their voice. The flag outside hotel is blue in Jap, so unable to locate it if never look carefully. Beside that, still recommend this hotel to traveller if you looking for affordable and convenient stay.

Convenient Location ”

Hotel is located very near to Namba station and Namba station is the final stop from the airport via Nankai Line. It is also at walking distance to Dontobori and Shinsaibashi Shopping Arcade. As for hotel room, it is rather small but for short stay is still value for money. Everything else is clean except that carpet. I feel that the carpet needs to be shampoo or changed. Breakfast is provided but the portion is very small.

Near to Namba，Kuromon Ichiba and Dotonbori”

Super convenient location so close to Namba Station, Kuromon Ichiba and Dotonbori. Nankai Namba is 4 minutes walk away and convenient to take Nankai Line direct to KIX at JPY 920.

Smell VS Good Location”

Very good location - close to namba station (subway) and nankai namba station. Clean but there is bad smell. May be is the smell of urine.
