Great Hotel Experience”
My wife and I hail from Singapore and booked Grand by GRT Hotels after seeing that it had great ratings and reviews. We loved the hotel from the moment we stepped in. Hotel looked grand and the service was good, checking in took abt 15 mins but we were given drinks while we waited whilst admiring the grandeur of the place. Room was in excellent condition. Breakfast had loads of dishes mainly Indian but had western food as well, although its nearly the same food each day. They have a very nice Pool, gym and spa services which I felt was a bit pricey. Location is good as its just a short drive away from Pondy Bazaar or Ranganathan street. Overall very satisfied in staying here and would probably return when visiting Chennai again.

Excellent Hospitality with little biasness”
GRT Tuticorin stay entitled us for a room upgrade in GRT Chennai with a free 15 mins foot massage and complimentary drinks. In 5 days stay the buffet selection, the facilities such as swimming pool, gym, spa, room amnesties was truly reflecting the standard that GRT offers. The availability of security on most floors was comforting. The initiative taken by the staffs to perform flashmob dance in the lobby was entertaining. Overall thumbs up to GRT, the ambience and interior deco almost gives a 5 star experience. Only one observation as my feedback. Most staff members had been trained to greet the guest with a Namaste. In my 5 days stay, this greeting was consistent. In the same 5 days, my mother whom I have brought for a holiday here was not greeted with a single Namaste by the same staff members. Being an elderly person and coming from ethnic Indian background my mom felt disrespected. Such biasness defeats the very purpose of this practice of greeting.

My family of 4 had a great experience during our stay. It is comparable to a 5-star Hotel. The location was close to shopping area. The customers service was excellent. I would like to compliment all the staff, including the reception area, bell captain and his team, the cleaners, all the restaurant staffs and the doormen, who always display a pleasant and welcoming smile, no matter what you request. I also want to say my sincere thanks to the bell captain and his ever friendly staff who helped to get the doctor and medicine when my son was having fever. I would strongly recommend Grand Chennai GRT for all as it feels like home away from home. I have already got my friends to book there for their December holidays in Chennai. "I had a marvellous stay in Chennai at the Grand Chennai by GRT. Wonderful interiors, very good service and good location. My only qualm was that the restaurant manager/supervisor during our morning buffet breakfast (weekdays from the 26 - 28 Feb, not too sure his name) not a friendly guy at all. I realize, he only greets certain people which I feel is really unfair. I have seen each time, there is a white tourist in the buffet area, he will immediately greet and serve them.

2nd time stay at this hotel. Service quality much much excellent. Doorman, hse keeping, front office reception staff, security, rstnt staff all provided excellent customer service. Breakfast was superb with many varieties to choose from & served warm. There is a cool refreshment served in small clay cups for all guest aft their shopping trips at the lobby. Tat is really a very thoughtful gesture by the hotel keeping in mind the hot & humid weather. Staff are friendly, always smiling & readily response to all queries patiently. Reception front office staff Jina recognised me & came forward, hugged me, enquired abt my health & I can feel her warmth friendship so genuinely. Staff here all look very neat in appearance. I will return back to stay at tis hotel for all my future trips to Chennai. Thank you GRT Grand T Nagar Hotel for making me feel so at home. I left for Spore with a heavy heart. I stayed at Grand Chennai by GRT Hotels in the Business Class Double Rooms. The only setback is the cleanliness by the housekeeping team . Room needs to updated and there were black mouldy streaks in the bathrooms . Carpets were mouldy and had to be told to remove them upon check in. Toilets were not clean properly. The plus points with this hotel was the excellant spread of breakfast at Bazaar on daily basis . J'Hind restuarant serves excellant 7 course meal. The front desk team need to improve in their communications with customers . Had a complementary 15 minute foot ritual but was not told about it. The Location is great place for shopping and other eateries.

Staying at GRT Chennai hotel was my first time. I always have not had great experiences with hotels regardless of how great or reputed they are, but this one. I absolutely loved everything about GRT Chennai. Food, staff, cleanliness, entertainment and other facilities. I was 100% relaxed at the hotel. Staff were very well-mannered and helpful. They don't hassle you or even bother coming after you for tips. And that's one of the best things about the hotel. I liked the gym facilities and also the spa. Will definitely stay there again next time.

The Most Value for Money Hotel in Chennai ”
What else can I say. This hotel surprised me right from the start. The service staff for checking in and house keeping were one of the best in South India. Great location between the street stalls at T Nagar and Vijaya Mall. The restaurant serves value for money buffets for all 3 meals. The staff were accommodating to our needs as I was travelling with my elderly folks. I will definitely return here and it's no wonder that the hotel is usually fully occupied. Do book early if you plan to stay at GRT Chennai. The other hotels under the GRT group should model after the one in Chennai.

My family and my fiance's family recently visited to do shopping for my wedding next March. We spent 6 nights in GRT and had an absolutely amazing experience. All the staff at GRT were always very friendly, professional and happy to help with any request. We were always greeted with a pleasant smile, from the security guards to the room boys. The staff made our stay a very pleasant one, and we felt like we were at truly at home. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. We felt safe in the hotel, especially being our first time in India. I would definitely recommend GRT to anyone travelling to Chennai. We will stay at GRT during our next stay.

We had a awesome time in GRT Grand Chennai. It was value for money. The staff was very polite & helpful. The room was well maintained. The staff cleaned the room twice a day and even offered fruits & chocolates to us. They had variety of Indian breakfast which was yummy. The Nasi Kandar Pelita was opposite our hotel about 7mins walking distance. Paandi Baazar was closeby too. The only downside was no Tamil channels in the room. Apart from that it was superb👍

This was my second visit to Chennai and we were short on time . So after a busy day a hotel near T nagar was a must for next morning's shopping. Hotel GRT Grand was a pleasesant surprise right from its location to room quality and food. The lift is pain at times as only one was working and sometimes it was not stopping at Floor 4 due to some repair work. Overall an excellent hotel ,well recommended.

was a lovely experience the moment we checked in till the moment we left. i had requested an early check in since i was arriving in chennai at 7:30 am .arrived at GRT at 9 :30 am , and my rooms were ready.check in was smooth.location of the hotel was right smack in t-nagar ( shopping district). shops were walking distance of the hotel. breakfast was nice.medium spread of western and local cuisine.lots of juices, cold coffee and butterscotch milkshake was my highlight. service was impecable , from the bell boys, doorman, reception and staff .security personnel were placed at every floor of the hotel. all in all, a lovely stay.

Friendly hotel with excellent facilities and outstanding service”
We travelled to Chennai with our toddler son and stayed here for 4 nights. The staff are outstanding, we felt so welcome and looked after and staff just couldn’t do enough for our little boy. Ghaati, Sangheeta, Gayathri and Honey Singh all made such big efforts to entertain him. In fact everyone did. There are excellent facilities and the ambience for such a large establishment is warm and welcoming. The rooms have everything you could need and housekeeping was great. The food was also really delicious. We stayed initially in room 706 and there was a little wear and tear on some articles of furniture but went away for a function and when we returned stayed in 705 which was much fresher indicating that updates are ongoing in the hotel. Staff seem to take genuine pride in the hotel and their work and they really make the place. We would definitely stay here again when we are next in Chennai, it felt like a home from home. Excellent hotel, thank you everyone for such a wonderful stay!

My husband and I stayed at The Grand , Chennai from 11 to 15 May 2019. All the staff from the reception to concierge were brilliantly super efficient and showcased excellent hospitality.. Every staff from the breakfast buffet area to the Sales Director, Jothi Menon paid special attention to all their guests including taking care of All our requests were attended to within a minute, literally. Special mention should be given to Gopi of Co \ncierge for paying meticulous attention to all my parcels that came from my online purchases. If I were to return to Chennai, I will definitely stay The Grand. Once again, thanks so much for making our stay a memorable and delightful one.

I have stayed at many upscale hotels in California ,Vegas,New York and other places but nothing comes close to GRT Grand ,Chennai.The beauty of this hotel comes from the staffs who truly understand travelers interest.They make you feel like family,personal touch is impeccable and warm.Staffs from front desk ,concierge ,bellhop and housekeeping very attentive to your every needs.Clean and fancy lobby,superb rooms,esp bathrooms all glass,rain showers,great amenities and plush beds and pillows ,central switch to turn on and off all lights and plasma tv .This is indeed a 5 star hotel and centrally located in Chennai.Cab ride from airport cost INR 400 but OLA is cheaper around INR 300. I will be back GRT Grand in the future!

This was my first time at GRT and will definitely stay here again !! Great location, courteous and helpful staff , super clean and plush rooms . J Hind speciality restaurant is a gastronomic delight. The complimentary breakfast has plenty of choice and the only buffet breakfast with smoked salmon which was absolutely delightful. Also the best Berliner I’ve ever had ... which I ate 2 days in a row ... overall a lovely hotel and value for money . This will be my go to hotel for Chennai from henceforth...
