Honesty & Trustworthy hotel.”

Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy Hotel is a Trustworthy and Honest hotel. I was a Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy hotel guest on 2-1-2020 to 2-2-2020 before departing for my Asia cruise on Princess Sapphire. 2-2-2020 after check out of hotel en-route on the drive to Cruise port. I realized in my haste to pack and check out, I have forgotten my handbag with all my credit cards and USD $CASH inside. I was devastated!!! I've the driver called the Hotel to request the Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy hotel staff to immediately check my room for my handbag. The hotel manager was able to find my handbag and when I returned to claim my handbag, he counted all my CASH and asked if all my money's there. I am happy to said everything is intact. All my money and credit cards & other pertinent documents were in my handbag. I am so grateful for the Honesty and Trustworthiness of this hotel manager and staffs. Definitely a great relief to recover my handbag and my pertinent belongings. Five star!

Spacious Rooms”

my wife and i spent 5 nights at the grand mercure roxy and we loved it. it is located at the east coast side of singapore. location wise it's not the best as it does not have any mrt station nearby. however, it does have the bus services in front of the hotel if public transport is a necessity. taxi cabs are easy at the hotel. the check-in service was very efficient. the rooms were clean and spacious. the air conditioning is very good. the staff from the doorman to the chambermaids were pleasant and friendly. shopping ( parkway parade shopping centre) can be found directly opposite the hotel (about a 5 minute walk) and the overhead bridge provides the convenience of avoiding street crossing. the breakfast buffet is very adequate and the pool is a fresh welcome on a hot and humid day! heading towards the rear of the hotel is another shopping outlet and towards east coast road where there's a variety of f & b outlets and entertainment. the only thing that did not work well with us was the 'aromatizer/air refreshener' which is used or sprayed daily in the lobby area. it was really strong .that being said we do recommend this hotel.

Great location and comfy room”

We stayed here because we were only in Singapore for one night visting a friend and wanted to be close to their residence and to the airport. The Mercure Roxy was perfectly located for our needs. The location is also in a less-touristy (and, for us, more interesting) part of Sngapore which allowed us to take in a more "local" experience. Right opposite a shoping mall, where I passed a pleasant hour or so browsing. Our room (superior king) was very comfortable - recently refurbished with a pillow-top bed and everything we needed. Spotless bathroom, nice toiletries. Very friendly staff - I've never been welcomed so warmly upon check-in. We didn't get the opportunity to try any of the restaurants - with East Coast and Jhoo Chiat so close, there were just too many other options! We also couln't try the pool as it was being renovated. The tariff we found on Agoda made this hotel competitively priced by expensive Singapore standards.

Royal treatment - Excellent location - Super clean”

My husband and I stayed at the hotel because we wanted to visit Singapore, mainly for shopping, but also sight-seeing. We booked 1 night and extended our stay. Even though our extra 2 nights were only for the standard room, they upgraded us to the King. We didn't even need to ask. The buffet is gorgeous and affordable at $20, considering coffee and set breakfast at outside cafe was the same price. The cleanliness is outstanding. Room service was requested one of the days we slept late, and they come at no extra charge. The front desk staff didn't treat us like strangers. They wanted to do so much for us. The front desk even photocopied and faxed an important document for me for only $3 sing dollars. Business travelers will be very happy with this hotel. There are 3 computers to use for free in the lobby. You can access internet from them. YES!! For free!! The bus stop is directly in front of the hotel, and you can get on a bus to go anywhere in Singapore (may need to change buses at some point for some destinations, but driver can tell you) Getting to Orchard or China town area is about 15-20 mins. VERY CONVENIENT! There are so many restaurants to choose from in the area. There is an outside coffee shop/ foodcourt if you want to just spend a few dollars for a gorgeous, fresh, local dish. We had so much fun here, and hardly left the area. There was so much to do. You can even walk to the beach! We are definitely going to book the Grand Mercure Roxy when we go to Singapore again!! Loved it!

Relax, Fun and Enjoy”

Hi! My first say is that i have no regrets for my stay at the Grand Mercure Roxy Hotel. Everything was smooth throughout the stay. I am so happy for the service given to me throughout the 1 day experience there. Eventhough the waiting time is a little late to wait for them to send it to my room when i requested for it, i appreciate the complimentary cake that was given to me to celebrate my fiance's 25th. Yes, and thank you for the nice swan and petals decoration on the bed. It was so nice and cute until it is so hard for me to get rid of the swans and petals till i have to so that i can have a good night rest(: Thank you agoda for the special rates given and i am sure i will look forward to more discounts and insider's deals for future bookings. Not to forget, thank you a million to staff of Grand Mercure Roxy Hotel for the great hospitality given and for being very friendly to your customers. Last time I went to Singapore, I choose to stay at Grand Mercure Roxy Hotel. The hotel location is good, near hotel I could find many places to eat. Just 5 - 10 minutes walking distance, I could reach many restaurants (at the back of hotel). I could choose many different food, there are thai food, indonesian food, indian food, japanese food, singaporean food, european food, and many others. Opposite hotel there is a mall, easy access to the mall. Just accross the road through the bridge. I'm happy there is a food centre, so there are many food stalls, so I can have meals there. Many kinds of food we can choose. The price is average. I have to buy many things I didn't prepare from my hometown, I was happy find them at the mall just nearby the hotel. And in front of hotel, there is bus station. Easy to get bus. I choose to stay at Roxy Hotel because I have something to do at Chapel road and I found that the hotel location, near Chapel Road, just 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel. And the hotel is near church also. So I can attend the Sunday mass. Just 5 minutes walking distance, beside Roxy. Hotel swimming pool is good.... but too small. In the afternoon, too crowded. During my stay, I have breakfast at hotel restaurant at level 3..... it is a nice restaurant. Food is OK, many choices. Taste good. But once, I have to leave the hotel early in the morning and didn't have time to have breakfast in hotel, so I asked the staff to give me a box to take away my breakfast, he said there isn't a box. So I brought 2 pcs of bread and 1 tiny jam, covered with tissue. No staff help me. What a pity.

I choose to stayed at Grand Mercure Roxy Hotel, because the hotel location is very near to Chapel Road. I'm happy that the hotel location is just 10 minutes walk to reach that road. I can access the road through Roxy Square. And if we want to have something to eat, just walk through Roxy Square, go to East Coast Road, wow many many places / restaurants there. And very near to Holy Family Church, if we want to attend the Saturday / Sunday mass there. The hotel location is just opposite Parkway Parade Shopping Centre....... Very easy to reach that shopping center, just accross the street.

A Weekend At Grand Mercure Roxy Hotel”

I am a local Singaporean who needed a simple and quiet weekend get-away without having to head to another country. Grand Mercure Roxy Hotel was my choice because of its location. It is perfect for tourists (or in my case, locals) who don't want to be caught in the bustling city traffic or crowd. Parkway Parade Shopping Center is less than 10 minutes across the hotel. For local flavor, the East Coast Park hawker center is also just a bus-trip away.

WONDERFUL EXPRIENCE”

My son and I stayed at Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy on 25 - 27 Mar 2016. Just waited for 5 min and I got my room key and the front desk staff upgraded us to the executive floor without us asking. Kid under 12 yr old, breakfast will be complimentary from the hotel. When we are back from our breakfast, our room had been well make up. The staffs is efficient, polite and helpful. The only downside is the pool is pretty small. Overall, is great stay and will go back again

Great hotel, location, close to food & transport ”

The Grand Roxy Mercure was a fantasic hotel for a short or long stay and this was our third stay here. The room itself was of generous size, HUGE bed and bathroom with shower and bath available and included toiletries PLUS nice fluffy towels!! Pool on the 4th floor was great, keep in mind the bar is a little pricey in comparison to BYO. The hotel has a large bus stop directly outside (very convenient). Across the road, a hawker style food market which features very cheap delicious food, along with a large shopping centre. Additional to the bus stop, the hotel provides a great concierge service who will call taxi's for you anytime and also provide a free shuttle bus to the closest MRT station and the airport (you need to reserve a spot on the courtesy bus). All in all, a fantastic place to stay for a holiday in Singapore very accommodating and close to everything you need (airport, food, shopping, sightseeing etc). Only bad thing - We sent a suit & evening gown for 'dry cleaning' and 'press' using the hotel inhouse laundry service and received the suit back burnt and the gown still wrinkled (they did refund the ironing cost)- avoid using the laundry service and use your in-room iron and the laundromat on level 4 instead. Definitely would stay there again~~!

Paradise in the East”

It was our first time staying at Grand Mercure Roxy Hotel in Singapore. My family booked three rooms for two nights over the weekends. The rooms are reasonably spacious and well maintained. The hotel staff are also generally helpful. What we found very attractive is the nearness to a shopping centre just across the road from the hotel, and at the back of hotel, a row of small restaurants and eateries that boast a more Singapore flavour of food. Nearby too is the East Coast Beach with a good stretch of jogging and cycling track, along with many seafood restaurants. The hotel provides good trasport to the airport and the heart of town, which is not very far away. And considering this, the price of the hotel is indeed more reasonable than those in the heart of town. I would surely consider staying here again in the future.

Perfect Singapore Layover”

Ideally located for airport access, the grand Mercure Singapore Roxy is a regular stay for myself or with my wife. Free airport shuttle is a bonus. Staff are always friendly, efficient, professional and helpful. Pool area is great for a casual drink. Food court across the road is typically Singaporean eats. Always a pleasure to stay at the Roxy.

Our family of 5 had a very enjoyable stay. Everything was clean.The rooms were of a decent size and the housekeeping was great, providing tidy rooms on our arrival after every day of being out. The internet was fast and was available throughout the whole hotel. The Grand Mecure Roxy was very accommodating from the beginning with my requests for interconnecting rooms and also to provide non smoking rooms. They also provided us with a complementary late check out time after I requested due to a late flight home. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is considering Singapore as a destination as they will not be disappointed. If we are to ever return to Singapore, we will be sure to book and stay with the Grand Mecure Roxy again.

Check in was prompt, efficient, pleasant and covered all aspects of my stay. The room was clean and pleasant with great views. My baggage was delivered to my room promptly and courteously. I felt I "belonged" throughout my stay. Across the road from the hotel is located a wide variety of shopping of which I availed myself. I cannot think of any reason to have to look elsewhere for almost all aspects of my shopping needs. At checkout my baggage was safely stored in the cloakroom pending my departure to Changi Airport on the Hotel's complimentary Bus. On my return to Singapore, the Mercure Grand Roxy Hotel will be my choice at which to stay. One cannot get better than the Best. Mike.

Lovely hotel with fast checkin”

This is my 3rd time I stayed in Grand Mercure Roxy Hotel. Am very pleased with the fast check-in. Hotel is just opposite Parkway Parade which is a big mall that have almost everything there. Hotel right next to Roxy Square mall that have lots of foot reflexology shops and small convenience shops to buy necessities just in case u need anything. So far this has been my favourite hotel in Singapore.

Efficiently run hotel with relaxed atmosphere”

Our son and his family have relocated to Singapore from the UK and are living in a condo within sight of the Grand Mercure Roxy Hotel. They recommended the hotel and we are so glad that we took their advice. The hotel was ideal for us as it was peaceful and pleasant. The ensuite room was spotlessly clean,a generous size and the air conditioning was very controlable. The staff were very attentive and helpful. We intend to return to the hotel next time we visit.

One of the best”

It was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. We transferred there from our old hotel which was located not to near to the city. I found the hotel to be simple but elegant, and the staff are also very nice, friendly and helpful. I wish I had booked this hotel first other than the old hotel that I got. But nonetheless, I am glad I made the right choice in staying at Grand Mercure Roxy. It's affordable and still budget friendly, but a wise decision if you'd like to see everything in Singapore because it is very near everything.

Great way to finish a long vacation”

My family's stay at the Grand Mercure Roxy hotel was great, great way to finish a long vacation through Asia, Singapore was our last stop and it was a pleasure to stay here. The rooms were in great condition, I liked the location, away from the city and close to the beach. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, Just beware of the taxis driver here in Singapore, very rude and un helpful.

We chose the Grand Mercure Roxy based simply on Agoda reviews and on the affordable price. And we were very glad we did! It lived up to everything we had read. The concierges treated us like royalty and the check-in/check-out procedures couldn't be faulted. Even though we had gone for a cheapish room, we asked for a room with a view and they were happy to give us one on the 9th floor, with a view of the bay. The breakfast (which was part of our package deal) was very good, with a range of Asian and European selections and a chef cooking personalized omelettes on the spot. (One thing I would mention here, though, is that each day the selection was pretty much the same as the day before and would have benefited from a change here and there.) The room was clean, tidy and comfortable and was efficiently serviced each day. The pool area was good but could have done with some character. Proximity to transport was amazing -- buses are right on the doorstep, and very affordable taxis pull up all the time. The nearest MRT is only a short bus trip away. And as for shopping -- well you literally only have to walk across the road to a very modern 250-shop mall. Strangely enough, though, the thing we liked most about the Roxy was the lightly fragranced air conditioning. After a long hot day out seeing the sights of Singapore, it was just so refreshing to walk into the lobby and be greeted by that. All in all this was a great home away from home and we would jump at the chance of staying there again.
