Good stay right in the center of the city”
The review is more for Agoda than the accommodation. When we arrived, we were told that our reservation was cancelled, even when Agoda has already charged my card. I cancelled a prior booking (2 nights) then booked another one for 1 night. The receptionist at Grand Pension called Agoda to fix things, and we had our room after about 30 minutes. We were told we werent the first one to experience such with our Agoda booking.

Clean,comfortable room at affordable price”
Of the 22 hotels we stayed at this trip the Grand Pension Plaza was the best city hotel. Only 5 mins walk from the centre of dumaguete but far enough away from the hussle and bussle of the city. At AUD$28 a night it was a bargain for us.

Affordable, accessible, clean hotel”
Very affordable hotel. Food menu for room service is cheap with lots of choices. The security guard who is also the bell boy is very accommodating. I miss their 2 friendly dogs (a shih tzu and a chihuahua ) at the lobby. The hotel is near the V plaza mall. No elevator available, so if you are a PWD or an elderly guest be sure to request for the ground floor rooms. Requires P500 deposit.

The hotel location is the best part. I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and it was quite a good stay. The amenities is basic and the room is just passable but given the hotel price, I think it's just fair and equitable. It's just a short walk and you will reach the boulevard and the restaurants. If I will go back in Dumaguete, I will still stay here.

Great Value for Money in an Awesome Place”
Location was superb, staff was nice, rooms are clean though they should pick up the trashes on daily basis. We did not expect anything spectacular with this hotel since the price is relatively low but boy o boy our stay was so pleasant.. keep it up!

We had a comfortable stay here. Although the hotel is not new, it is well-maintained and clean. Our room has a mini ref which helps esp in keeping our pasalubong, Silvanas! The water pressure in the shower was so strong! In a way, it is good, but it's sometimes hard to control and adjust the water temperature. I love dogs am happy to see two adorable doggies roaming around their lobby. :) The staffs are very helpful. They always assist us whenever we need something like when we order food delivery or in renting a van. The place would've been perfect had they serve breakfast (esp if it's free!). Overall our stay was pleasant and we would be happy to stay here again.

Simple hotel”
I chose to stay here at the last minute because of the hotel rate posted that time. Located near business establishments and restaurants, and a short walk to the sea, it was a good deal. The hotel room is simple. For the price offered, don't compare it to the standards of Best Western or the like, but for a weary traveler who doesnt have any qualms about hot shower, fluffy comforters, carpeted floors, etc and is instead happy that there's a bed inside a simply decorated airconditioned room, this can be a simple haven worth its price. Well I wanted to stay elsewhere, but for the time I'm on a tight budget and need a place to spend a few hours to rest, I'd take this hotel.

The room is a bit cramp, the door bumps into my bed, the comforter is very comfortable for the cold aircon, the hot shower and pressure is amazing, the reception is not so friendly, the guard is always willing to assist

Front desk was a little cold when I checked in but they improved over time so that may have been an anomaly. The hotel doesn't provide bottled water except for purchase and the window type air conditions are noisy and could use cleaning. Other than that basic but clean and centrally located.

Clean, affordable hotel”
The location and cleanliness of the place was very good, only bad experience is that the staff is not so accommodating. When I checked in, I presented the email with the booking ID, but they had me print out the Agoda booking email at an internet cafe outside. They did not even have their own printer, or consider accepting the email I had shown, since the booking ID was there anyway. On Sundays, they do not serve room service/food since they said their kitchen was closed on Sundays.
