I decided to stay at Green Rich Hotel Iwakuni Ekimae because it is located near the train station. Their breakfast is excellent! Also, it is close to many restaurants and there is one bakery shop in which I accidentally walked inside. I was glad I did because their bread was so delicious. I don't know Japanese, so I can't tell the name.

Their location is the best just few minutes walk from the train station. The post office is across the street if you need stamps for sending postcards. I love that the hotel is surrounded by many restaurants including Gyu Kaku!

I reserved this room for a friend who was visiting Iwakuni. The price is a little bit more than some of the other hotels we reserved for friends, but the location was great and our friend enjoyed his stay.

I make it a point to stay in this hotel anytime I travel to Iwakuni - and that has been on and off for the last 10 years. The only thing I dislike is that there is only one microwave down in the lobby rather than in each room. Absolutely everything aside from that is top notch!
