Boss is so nice, it’s like a family ”
The boss runs the hotel alone, he speaks fluent English and lives on 1st floor. The hotel is 800m from Kintetsu Nara station, passing through a Higashimuki shopping street where there are 3 medicine/cosmetics stores and 1 Daiso. From the map there’re several blocks away, but the blocks are small. Across the street of hotel it’s the Nara Library (can navigate the library) and a few Mobike shared bicycles, but 33 minutes’ ride costed nearly RMB15. Then we booked 2 bikes from hotel at 500 Yen/day. On 2nd day we found the hotel is only 150 meters from Deer Park and many other attractions, we had to park the bikes downstairs, and never used them until tour end. You could cook in the dining room with eggs and bread from hotel. The room is very spacious for a Japan hotel and smells of grass, only public toilets on each floor and shower rooms on 2nd floor, but the good part is after you check out, you could still take a shower. All in all, The hotel is near to Railway station and sightseeing attractions, it’s definitely worth the price. Will drop by if next trip.

Big room! Nice futon! Nice bathroom!”
Pros: Friendly staff, walking distance to Kintetsu Nara station, bicycle rental, free breakfast! Cons: Location is difficult to find for the first time, will confused with another the Guest house route 53; no staff at the counter sometimes. Thank for the bicycle~

Great place”
Traditional japanese place. Looks a bit old but managed well. The place was clean. It was the cheapest place I can find in Nara at the time so I did not expect much but it was actually a great place with friendly staff. There's a modern toilet and sink in the room. Walkable from Kintetsu Nara Station.

Spacious room”
The room are quite large, so it is very comfortable. The shower rooms are located only in the first floor though. Note: There were 2 Guest House Route53 in the vicinity (Furuichi and Sugiya) though, so make sure you walk into the right one.

Exceptional”
Very nice typical japanese hostel. The room was pretty big, clean and the location just perfect in a cite neighborhood and very close to all the things to see in Nara. But more, the staff was really nice and he helps us when I was sick to find and bring me to the closest hospital.

Helpful English speaking staff, Yuki”
It was a pleasant stay in Kyoto at Racine Home. Yuki was helpful to even helped us to inform another hotel that we were gonna check in for Nara about our late arrival. The only downside is no elevator which made it very hard for us to carry our luggages.

Summer Stay”
The place is far from the station but close to all sightseeings. The building and other facilities is a little bit old but if you will only stay to sleep and tour within Nara. This place is a must go. :)

Exceptional”
Traditional Japanese experience, loved it! Perfect for those on a budget, was immaculately clean with friendly staff. If your paying when you arrive make sure you have ¥ as there are no credit card facilities. Walls are paper thin so bring ear plugs, guest house asks for your co operation in keeping your voice to a minimum during your stay but unfortunately you can’t control someone else’s behaviour. I would definitely stay again as it is close to rail, shines, markets etc on foot.

We loved it!”
It's so typical and cute. Nara is a very chill and beautiful place to stay in. We planed one night only and ended up staying 3! :)

Good value for the price. Traditional stay.”
If you want to stay in a traditional like stay in Nara and very near to the deer's park this is the place to stay. It is difficult to find because the location in google maps is wrong but other than that the place is reasonably clean and has a big kitchen to cook your food and have a beer. Be careful with what you leave in the fridge some guests stole our beers and food while staying there (and we discovered with surprise that they were Japanese!)

Nice place, near biggest things to see ”
it was Nice, spacefull, calm. Near the touristic places. It's not like a guest house though because there is no host atmosphere more like an hotel. Clean and peaceful at night

Very good”
Great price. Great location. Friendly staff. Washing machine and drier available for 200 yen. Public shower, no toilet in room. Loud creaking floors. Can hear others easily. Traditional style tatame mats and futon beds. Very thin. Hard floor. Overall worth the very inexpensive price

Little Gem”
Got a room for my husband and I. Toilets are newly renovated and very nice. Hot water does take a while to heat up. Kitchen does need to reno as it's a little old and trap food smell.

Traditional Japan style”
Room very big and value for money. But the room is quite far from other room therefore it is a bit scary and the staff is not friendly and hard to find.
