"Been to many places around Koh Chang. First time in this beach and so far the best one. This resort is great. Location right on the beach. Really well maintenanced. Lovely bungalows. Daily cleaning. The staff is great. They made us fell welcome from minute 1..... very different from many other places I've been to, where they really don't care. No doubt I'll be back to this place soon! "Really enjoyed our stay here. Had a hut each and it was nice for a change up rather than hotel or guesthouse. Plus the people who run it are lovely. Nice cheap food there and they were so friendly and easy to go swimming straight from the hut. Bailan is quiet but lonely beach is only a 15 min walk or even quicker if you rent a bike for only 200 baht a day. Highly recommend staying here. Loved it there. "

"While we stayed at the Coconut Garden, pretty much every guest here extended their stay, including ourselves. That in itself should tell you just how great this place is. We had booked four nights and stayed for a week (but could well have stayed longer). Jill and Egon, the Dutch owners are recently friendly, open and energetic, always with a smile and a laugh and would immediately see to all our wishes. Their Thai manager, Patty, is a darling, as well, and between those three no requests or wishes were left open. The accommodation, although only open for six months, does not have the feeling of a work in progress. The bungalows are very comfy (the beds are a tad hard, but that's the same in all of Thailand), the recently installed pool is great and good place to hang out in the evening, and the whole place has a peaceful quality to it. Coconut Garden is situated at the southern end of Koh Chang, so expect the songthaew (shared "taxi") that takes you there from the ferry to charge a bit more (150 Baht/person). Apart from heavier traffic between 08:00 and 09:00 a.m. due to all the diving and snorkelling tours leaving from the pier down South, it's very peaceful here. There's a cheap restaurant and a great sunset spot around the corner, as well as Tranquillity Beach, which we preferred to Lonely Beach or any beach further north. "
