"Lanta Garden Home is a basic hotel, however, the location cant be beat. We had a standard room which wasnt special in any way but we hardly spent any time in it! Its located on Khlong Dao beach, a nice long beach with plenty of bars and restaurants. The hotel seemed to offer everything from tours to mopeds to snorkelling/diving excursions to laundry service. The town of saladan is within walking distance if you are keen or is a short tuk tuk ride away...good for shopping and dining. "

"Nice and peaceful place to stay at Koh Lanta. Beach is near and all the necessary services (minimiart, restaurants etc.) right next door. Rooms are cleaned daily and hotel provides beach towels, transportation services, day trips to other islands, motorbike rental and much more. Staff is very helpful and polite, owner takes very good care of all the customers and their needs. This is by far the best place I have been in Thailand. Highly recommended and huge thanks to owner!! This was our second time here and we will definitely come back to Baan Nok for third time next year!!"

"We stayed at Lanta Fa Rung for two nights in June, this was a pleasant experience with helpful staff. Letting this resort down is the facilities on site, the restraunt on the beach offers 10% for guests of the resort but is 15% more expensive than others along the beach. The staff are also not on site from the times indicated and explained on arrival, wether this is just because it was low season during our visit, this could be the reason. The rooms are clean and well presented offering the immediate needs of a short stay. The beach is incredibly rocky so you cannot swim here but does offer a nice view. We hired motorbikes from the hotel to explore the island with no hassle, we did have to leave a passport, however it was returned with no quibble. Overall this was a pleasant stay but offered little in terms of activity and entertainment. "

"We booked to stay here for 3 nights and as soon as we arrived we decided to extend it to 6. The place was immaculately clean and we were greeted by very welcoming and helpful staff. The location is slightly off the track so this is really a place for people who are happy to use a moped. It was our second time in Koh Lanta but between the staff and the owners we managed to do tons of stuff we hadn't seen on the island last time around! Every night we were given ideas of places to eat, from a local unnamed street joint to a fancy beach side restuarant. Everything was made so easy for us. We went on a kayaking tour which we highly recommend and lots of beaches. The owner of the place has a cooking class named 'Cooking with Mon' - we booked onto it and were not dissapointed. Mon is a fantastic teacher and great fun to cook with. We came away with our bellies full and a fantastic selection of recipes which we can't wait to cook at home. You have the style and the glamour of a fancy hotel in your room but the social vibe is much better than those of the hotels on the beach. Highly recommend to anyone! Couples, families & friends."

"Don and his beautiful place, Raven Blue, were great for my 5 day stay in Koh Lanta. I went in June so the island itself was pretty quiet and not much is open, so if you're looking for a quiet place to relax, read and soak up some sun then I highly recommend this place. The room is modern and clean and comfortable. Don is so nice and helpful with recommendations you might have. I would definitely stay here again! "

"We stayed at Lanta dream house whilst my boyfriend completed his Padi diving course. The dive centre was close by so from that point of view the location was ideal. The resort was very family orientated with easy access to the main supermarket, bars, restaurants shops and of course beautiful beaches, however if you are looking to get closer to the real Thailand this is not the area to stay. We later moved to Klong Nin beach which had much more of a traveler relaxed feel to it. That being said the accommodation at Lanta dream house was very nice, clean and spacious with friendly staff. I would defiantly recommend the hotel depending on what your looking for from the island."

"I was dropped off my the taxi on the main rd and had to walk passed other resorts and bungalows. It was a very long walk that ended up on a dirt road. With my big bag, it was quite frustrating and when I looked at my surroundings, I thought that I was conned and that I was tricked by the pictures and description of the place. Once I got to the reception, the friendly staff showed me to my room / bungalow, and wow, I was blown away! It was very clean and spacious. Bathroom was very nice and clean with a separate shower. There are only 4 bungalows, so it is not a place to meet other people but it is a perfect place for relaxation and calmness. It is a 2 minute walk to Long Beach which is a long strip of beautiful beach. I recommend this resort and would go back again. Chip was a great host and the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The balcony has a hammock and seating area which I just hoped would’ve overlooked a pool, but maybe in the future, they will add a pool or a nice garden view. Great accommodation and great location 👌🏾"

"Place was really clean. Bed was new and comfortable. It was very spacious and had plenty of hooks and places to hang things, a shelf in the bathroom, a little table, many outlets. Two nice fans. A step above most beach bungalows. Clean and not moldynor smelly! The construction was a little shotty - pretty big gaps in the wood in the bathroom to the point where I think people could see me at night with the light on. Front door did not lock from the inside. The dudes running the place were super nice and cooked everyone a bbq dinner one night with drinks - they even accommodated my vegan diet and gave me potatoes and veggies! 1 minute walk to the beach. This particular area was still too much of a party scene for me, but it was mellow compared to other places in Thailand. There was music coming from the neighborhood bars until 1 or 2am most nights. Restaurant with separate vegan menu 1 min away! Nice place."
