"Villa Helena is both beautiful and calm, taking you back to French colonial times. The staff are very friendly, and will provide plenty of recommendations. The breakfast is an attraction in itself to be enjoyed in a quant backyard. Highly recommended! "

"Good: In white town and close to the beach Excellent breakfast buffet Big comfortable rooms, some with balconies overlooking street Bad: Furnishings a bit old and rundown Definitely not 4 star, I could give it 3 stars on a good day"

"we stayed here for 5 nights in Pondicherry, location couldn't be better, centre of white town between MG Rd and Mission St, very friendly staff, room cleaned, clean sheets and towels every day, good A/C, nice Indian breakfast or continental toast & jam, and the cleanest lift I've ever seen"

"A very clean and nicely decorated guesthouse in a great location next to the Cafe des Arts. The hosts were friendly and helpful as were their staff. The room was small but clean and enough for 2 people. Only downside is there is no window in the room and can hear everything in the next room. But they have other rooms which are nicer. There are bikes available to use for free and a good laundry service. "

"Best staff, nice rooms, good location, very cosy. Firstly, it is important to note that when any business is managed my women only, it will be well-run, clean, comfortable and care given for the clients comfort. This is not a standard hotel but more like staying in a guest-house. The decoration is very welcoming. The care the staff give is outstanding. Definitely this is the best place to stay in Puduchery. The only minus is the traffic noise, but that is impossible to escape from in the city. An in-room safe would be a plus, but the policy of admitting only genuine guests into the hotel make it feel safe enough. If we return to Puduchery / Auroville area this is the first choice place to stay."
