Great location”
It's about 5-10 minutes walk from Gora station. A bit of a climb/slope on the road but just a short stretch of it. Location is away from the hustle and bustle of city so it is peaceful and quiet. Get the half board package (dinner and breakfast) as these meals provided by the ryokan is fantastic. And there are only a few restaurants there. Public indoor and a small outdoor onsen (female one) is nice but the indoor onsen could be a little bit more cleaner - saw some residue settled on the bottom of the onsen and floating about. They have a van to send you to Gora station. Overall, am very satisfied and happy staying at this ryokan.

Superb!”
Walk out of Gora station, turn right, pass through a tunnel and keep going up for around 10min, you will find the hotel. For those carrying heavy luggage, this might be painful, so be sure to call the hotel to and ask for pick-up. The service is excellent, as I would expect of a Japanese hotel and even more. The staff's English is limited, this is also expected when you want to avoid tourist groups and choose small, local Ryokan like this one, but all staff are super friendly, and try their best to communicate with you. I would definitely recommend those who enjoy quiet travel as much as I do this place.

Private inroom hotspring w outdoor views”
This is a real hidden gem. Highly recommend! They have retrofitted the place and hotel, not sure why google maps didn't give it a high rating. The room we stayed had its own hotspring tub enough for two. I will definitely return here if i am going to visit Mt Fuji / Hakone area. Super pleased with the place, best hotel/hotspring I've stayed in my entire week of hotspring hopping.

I stayed on a Sunday night so the room was lower price making it a great deal. It is a very nice traditional style hotel. The onsens are beautiful and the Japanese style room was great. The Japanese breakfast for 15,000 was also spectacular. The staff are very friendly.

Loved it, but...”
Those of you bringing big luggages, walking to the hotel can be quite a pain. You may try to arrange for a shuttle ride. The surroundings are quiet and peaceful.

Make sure you know what you are there for.”
This place is a real mixed bag. The staff were warm and welcoming and it felt as though they were eager to make my time there as positive as they could. Alot less English was known by the staff than other accomodation I've used in Japan but only minimal communication was required so it worked. They clearly take pride in their Onsen and the service they are providing, however time has unfortunately taken a toll. It is clean but very much in need of renovation. There are stains and marks all around the hotel, carpets, walls, hot springs that are just down to age. The place feels worn down. I wanted a reasonably priced Onsen experience in the Hakone area that would also have a traditional room set up for me to try. And it provides this. A good sized room and entrance way with private toilet. No shower other than the sit down public baths ones. The public baths were great. Just remember you'v got to go naked. Men and women are fully segregated. Must have a thorough shower first.

staffの皆さんがとても親切”
Get the room with private onsen in the balcony. It’s worth every penny. The facilities are a solid 3-star, but the cleanliness, quality of food, and staff hospitality is nothing short of 5-star. 5-min walk from Gora Station. Highly recommend.

Quiet at a relatively remote location, better to provide more guide for drivers”
Pros: 1. Far from busy area, quiet at nice. Peaceful 2. Good food for dinner and breakfast 3. Got outdoor onsen area, nice /calm night bath outdoor Cons: 1. Onsen was only so-so 2. No in-room shower/bath, not too convenient (known before booking, just need to pay attention to this) 3. Except for one nice man greeting us at the reception who's polite, helpful and cheerful; other staff are rather tense and lack of smile. 4. Lack of road sign/ direction to get to the hotel for drivers; GPS a bit confusing to show the hotel located on a slope and car needs to drive to a small road at a cross road all in all not a bad choice but should have other options, and have rooms for improvement to provide better staying experience for travellers.

We enjoyed our stay at Hakone Mori No Seseragi. The hotel was great The staff was wonderful excellent food dinner and breakfast and the hot springs baths (and our in room private hotspring ) was heaven. The hotel is a little far from the station and is up hill. Gora is not a child / pram / luggage friendly station but the hotel does have a courtesy bus which we only realised after, so if you do book this hotel which I recommend, do look for the hotel courtesy bus when you arrive which will take you to the hotels door. Only thing to add is we should have book longer.

Great scenery if you are driving ”
It's up in the hills of Gora and not the closest or most convenient Onsen resort you will pick. However, it's the best scenery in days we are literally in the hills surrounded by trees! The Onsen Resort does have car pick up service from Hakone Station which adds points. Since it's not the most convenient, hence they are only 3 rooms being occupied. It's very quite and calm all the time, loved it!

Exceptional location and room but...”
Pro: 5-8 mins walk from Gora station (more or less a central location in Hakone), beautiful rooms and even has the option for private hotspring. Beautiful modern toilet. Delicious breakfast and dinner. Friendly and approachable staffs. Super value for money! Cons: No in room wifi, transport from Hotel to Gora only till 10am (but won’t really need unless there’s heavy rain there) In summary, awesome awesome place to stay. Can’t believe this is only 3 stars! Someone do something about their pictures too coz it is not doing justice to the hotel! Will definitely recommend people to stay here!

It was pretty but..”
perhaps not so good for the solo traveller. Staff is not very fluent in English but they did their best to help me understand (My Japanese is not the strongest.). The front staff is very polite and helpful, even offering to shuttle me to a restaurant when I was hungry and shuttled me to the station when I checked out. I liked the garden area with the koi in the pond. Room was spacious. Walking from Gora station is not terribly far, but hard on the legs. Not really close to convenience stores or shopping. It is a quiet location and you cannot hear traffic at all. Most likely better for couples who want a peaceful getaway. The biggest problem I had with this hotel was actually the other guests. It is no doubt that being a foreigner makes me stand out, but wherever I went in the hotel the other guests would stare, mumble, and look at me as if I was an annoyance when I never did anything out of the ordinary. It made me feel alienated but this is nothing against the hotel. Just an observation.

It should have 4.5 stars!”
This hotel is really nice, so clean, almost new. I would guess it is 4.5 stars abd the pictures don't really show the high quality of this place.

Dishonest manager, neglected and run down facility ”
After checking in and on the way to our room we were approached by the manager who started making claims that the payment we made was for one person only; this dishonest and sneaky man allowed us to take the possession of our room for which we made full payment trough Agoda and full checked in was done on arrival. It was really bad experience. Finally we clarified the case and he apologised for it. No wifi after the management finishes its work! Router switched off already in the evening till the morning! We met a huge cockroach walking on the floor Budget run facility, you notice it on every step
