Very nice hotel and good service”

This hotel place on main area of Singapore at orchard road. Room are clean, staff are helpfully.. Near the MRT station of orchard and you have to follow to ion park link to arrive to this hotel. Very nice stay and We will back to this hotel next time when we are going to singapore. We got good personality service from officer, he is name is Marchenko from Ukraine. He give us early check in for benefit, because this is our first time going to Singapore and give Us member as hilton of the world from hilton singapore. In loby you can get free wifi service. Very recommended Hotel.

Located in the less crowded part of orchard”

The location is the main part of my review. The locations is a bit far from the central orchard (takasimaya, paragon, etc) require about 3-5 minute walk via underpass to there. A bit far from me because the last time i stay in mandarin orchard (this hotel is centrally located). I think the room is a bit small compare to other hotel that i've been stayed in singapore. Other than that the service and staff are hilton standard, whiches a good one. One of the restaurant at the hotel are claimed one of the 50th best restaurant in the world by the brochure in the hotel. Oh by the way it doesn't have free wi-fi whiches disappointing and one time i take a shower the water heater is not working like it supposed to do (only slightly warm compare from the other time i used the shower)

Smiling staff especially in front office”

i stayed at hilton singapore only 2 days and our activity there were mainly on shopping branded items and eating outside at clark quay at night. prices of branded items such as lv are cheaper compared those in my hometown jakarta. what interested for tourists is the gst refund which is easily done at the airport when we are about to go home. night entertainment including eating at hawkers which are clean, good taste and acceptable prices is one of attractive features of singapore. the hilton hotel has a wonderful location particularly for tourists like us.

Excellent hotel with good location ”

our stay as a turist in singapore in the hilton hotel exceeded my expectations , the reason was that from the point we arrived i could feel that we where given attention. meaning that nevermind where we were teh staff made sure that we had everything we wanted. i personally live in hotel around the world about 100-150 days a year and no where have i got service where i felt that the staff really wanted me to feel comfortable. for example in the us your hear that they say it because the boss has said they need to say "hello", in singapore hilton even in the elevator a staff member kindly asked how our days was and did listen to my sons comment of the day and then wished a pleasent day. the hotel is in my normal travelling considered a high level standard but this really achieved more than that. maybe teh only thing that could if there is avalaibility to do that is to create a activity room for both kids and young ppl, maybe close to the gym or where ever there is room. for smaller kids i think there is not concrete activity, though the hotel is mostly a business and celebration facility (weddings and birthdays) . i want to say a big thank you to the staff , also the kitchen for a great breakfast ,

Good location, helpful staff”

for our final night in singapore, at the end of a two-year stay, my wife and i decided to stay at the hilton, largely for its central location. we knew the hotel well, having been frequent visitors to the lounge for a late afternoon coffee (recommended), usually accompanied by a little something from the dessert area, and the live music. our room, on the 10th floor, overlooked the bright lights of orchard road, was bright, modern and spacious, and ironing board, robes and slippers were provided. the full breakfast included in our room rate offered a reasonable choice, including options for guests who prefer chinese, indian and malay-style food. one of the features of our stay that particularly imnpressed us, however, was the service. our request for a later checkout (normally 12.00) was readily granted, and the reception staff generally were models of prompt, courteous service and advice; we were given access to the fitness centre to change later in the day; and the staff handling our luggage were patience personified. all in all, a good experience.

as expected from a Hilton”

we choose the hilton @ orchard road due to location. close enough to heart of orchard road by foot but not too crowded. very near to smaller shopping centers if you need something in a hurry. room is clean, breakfast and service is good. although service can be rather slow when hotel was too full. we stayed nearing the new year and buses of tourist coming daily. but overall, definitely one hotel to consider when going to singapore.

Nice hotel in the shopping area”

Hilton Singapore is one of the first 5 star hotel around Orchard Rd area which I believe built in the 70s. But the hotel is completely renovated with nice lobby and rooms. Front office staff was nice and friendly. Check in was brief and I was in my room in a few minutes. The room itself is very nice eventhough a little bit on the small size for a 5 star hotel. Location is perfect as it is on the Orchard road where the shopping heaven in Singapore located.

Best birthday staycation ”

I have very few options on how I’d like to celebrate my birthday and months before I chose to do a staycation. I’m glad I chose Hilton Singapore because first the staff were very accommodating from check in to check out to my numerous questions and request. I never felt unsafe bec the hotel was very clean and sanitised. I felt at ease during my stay there.

Comfortable hotel which makes my holiday amazing”

I stayed in this hotel for four days. I am really happy and enjoy to stay in Hilton Hotel. First of all, the staff here are very friendly. Even the room cleaner, they will always smile and greet you everyday. Next, I like the restaurant which is located in level 1 near the lobby. They provide excellent service and nice foods from many countries. Hilton hotel also located in Orchard Road which is the "heart" of Singapore, so it is very convenient to go out days and nights.

Pleasant stay at Hilton”

Hilton's location is obviously great, being in the heart of orchard road singapore. The carpark is not huge so i would suggest avoiding parking there. The staff was very very friendly and kind. They prepared a complimentary birthday cake for me knowing that my birthday was just the day before. This was a very kind and well appreciated gesture. The bed was very comfortable and the room was a decent size. Prize is steep but i guess that's what you can expect to pay for in the heart of orchard road and staying at a hilton.

We chose Singapore for our annual international trip for 2012 and was not disappointed in choosing the Hilton. Always clean and classy, the line of hotels shows its class in Singapore. Beside the Ion and right on Orchard the hotel is a perfect takeoff point experiencing the city in a couple of days. Highly recommended.

Number one reason: location”

This was not my first time in Singapore but my first time at Hilton Singapore. The number one reason I booked this hotel is its location. It's only 5-minute walk to ION Orchard and other big department stores, which is a huge factor for me because the taxi stands in Singapore on weekends are always crowded.

Great hotel for staycation”

We stayed here for 2 nights with our baby and pet dog. Although the customer service staff who replied my email upon booking gave an outdated pet policy that caused us some inconvenience, overall the staff (at check in, facilities and housekeeping) were very helpful and friendly. Concierge was great too, and very kind to give a stuffed toy to our baby. Not many hotels that can accommodate pets, so I think Hilton is very gracious -Thank You. (owners should also do their part in keeping the premises clean), However we had difficulty finding suitable places to walk the dog in the surrounding areas. Facilities are well maintained, rooms and bathtub clean, breakfast is great. And location superb - along Orchard Road but away from the hustle and bustle. Overall, a very enjoyable stay at the Hilton!

Great Location, Great Service, Functional Rooms”

My 2nd time in the Hilton Singapore, not my usual sort of hotel as i normally avoid the business chain hotels. But as this was a quick trip, and we wanted to fit in some shopping, the location was a big plus. Service was excellent especially at check in. Rooms are perfectly acceptable, clean and functional. Walking distance to all shops and restaurants in the Orchard area. Highly recommended.

luxury hotel at a great location”

hotel is located on busy orchard road which is very close to ion shopping mall, great nearby restaurants to eat at. continental breakfast is excellent and all staff are very friendly. hotel lobby had wi-fi access which is great, when departing, concierge were very helpful with placing luggage into taxi. will definitely stay at hilton next time in singapore

Great location with excellent service”

Can't really complain about anything at the Hilton. The location right on Orchard Rd puts the traveler right in the heart of the action. The room we received was very clean and functional and the staff were friendly and courteous at all times. Internet access was available in the lobby for a two hour duration which was fine but in this day and age it should have been available free of charge throughout the hotel. Overall though, a great hotel with good staff which managed to live up to the Hilton name.

Hilton standard with a good location ”

i stayed there with my mom for 3 nights. the check in process at 5pm was quick. we purchased breakfast package for 30sgd++ per guest and found that it is a bit expensive, but i don't think we can find a near food court opening at 7am around orchard road. the variety of breakfast is good. they provided toast, salad, dimsum, veggie and egg station. the breakfast room was quite crowded in weekend. we got the room on 8th foor facing to orchard road. it is just opposit under construction (feb2011) so it is not a great view though. my brother's room was on 17th floor facing to scott road and that was much better because they can see a little park. the room itself is very clean and toilet amenities is very nice. although we have a trouble with cold water in the bathtub, which is becoming boiling hot for the first two minutes after opening. but it is ok for us. the concierge is very helpful. overall this hotel meet hilton standard and i will stay here again.

great place to stay”

i stayed at the hilton in singapore many years ago and hada rather bad imoression, i think the hotels re done, its excellent the staff were great , we got an early check in , as we were rushing for some meetings, locations brilliont cannot ask for a more convin ient place to stay , its right on orchard road, overall facilities also was pretty excellent

Exceeded Expectations”

After reading other reviews, I was a bit apprehensive regarding what to expect. But I was pleasantly surprised. Staff were friendly, attentive, knowledgeable. The room - while the building is old - was fresh, updated, and very comfortable. The food and service in the Executive Lounge were of high standard. The amenities in the room were of high quality. The staff, the food, the decor of the room and of the Executive Lounge - all made for a memorable stay and overcame the drawbacks of the hotel being in an older building on a desirable stretch of Orchard Road. We will choose this hotel again the next time we are planning a hotel stay in Singapore

Convenient Location, newly updated rooms, service!”

Our first impression of the Hilton Singapore was positive. Check in was completed quickly, and we were given suggestions for dinner, and a map of the immediate area (all appreciated as we were checking in after an 8 hour flight at 8pm). The rooms were recently updated, beds comfortable. The bathrooms are still a bit dated, but adequate. We ran into a few glitches during our less than 24 hour stay. The cable was out, and also there was no hot water in the morning due to a power outage. When we brought these issues to the attention of the front desk manager, he quickly suggested that we take a late check out that would allow us to freshen up after touring the city before our early evening flight. Perfect hotel service in such a situation where obviously no one is to blame. Our bags were transferred and waiting for us and we were able to shower and change before our departure. I would definitely recommend anyone staying at this property to test their service, as we found is impeccable.
