Great Value for Money Hotel”

I stay here many times when visiting Singapore. Hotel 81 Premier Hollywood offers exceptional value for money accommodation within the bustling Suburb of Geyling. Bedrooms are compact but are more than comfortable for a few nights stay in Singapore. Close proximity (10 minute walk) to Aljunid MRT station. many restaurant options close by and a 24hr 7/11 convenience store within 200 meters.

Good Hotel Great Staff”

Hotel 81 Hollywood in this area is possibly a new Hotel as our room was very good with great bedding and nice view from 8th floor Only downside was bathroom/toilet a bit small but apart from that it was a Good stay in this area and not far to MRT walk and Buses just end of street . The Staff of this Hotel and especially Ken was an exceptionally good Manager and knew his business on keeping guests happy and 5Stars to him and his staff Thanks Ken Ken & Rose Ps Carefull of the guys on bikes in this street selling drugs on the corner of the street they need to be stopped

Great affordable place near cheap food”

The hotel is located in the heart of Geylang, a very safe and full-of-food area. There are a lot of places to eat by the main street (3 mins walk from the hotel). You can eat for less than 10SGD per 2 persons (mostly Chinese and Indian food). The nearest metro station is 15-20 mins walk away, but there's a bus stop very close (4-5 mins walk) from where you can easily get to any part of Singapore. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, they let us check in 2 hours earlier which was very nice as we were exhausted after a long journey - thank you for that! :) The hotel room was small but contained everything you need. I even managed to work there on a laptop 8 hours a day - there was a small table in the room and a pouf. The value for money is perfect and we recommend this hotel to everyone staying few days in Singapore ;)

Small, but clean rooms. Value for money.”

Food eateries are located within walking distance. After arrival, I found our that Geylang is the red light district of Singapore, but it was safe at all times. Even families staying there were not bothered by anyone on the street. It was a small but clean room, you can walk to the MRT within 15 mins and get to downtown Singapore.

Pristine albeit small rooms”

Ideally located in Geylang, just 10 minutes walk from the nearest station. There's plenty of places to get a decent meal nearby and although it is the redlight district there's no seediness. The hotel looks brand new and the rooms are in nicely fitted out, the only downside is the lack of storage space and the compact size of the rooms. However for somewhere to get you head down whilst staying in Singapore it's great and would recomend to friends.

Nice Hotel”

this hotel is clean and aesthetically pleasing. It is a nice hotel for a budget friendly trip. The staff were friendly and very discreet. The only issue is that the walls are very thin. You can clearly hear your neighbors across the room and adjacent to yours. Not for children but good for couples and solo travelers. Overall, it is a nice, cheap, and convenient hotel in the Geylang district.

Good budget hotel in interesting location”

Good impression of a recently built / renovated hotel. Comfortable and clean - everything functions as expected. Equal distance to 2 MRT stations, allow 15 minutes walking. Luggage storage in lobby chained to a rack. Staff observant and mostly helpful: helped with heavy luggage to room and into taxi. Many food, drink and convenience store options a few minutes walk away - several are 24 hour. Take a hotel card before you go exploring - there are several Hotel 81 buildings in the area, and taxi drivers are not always familiar with each one. Nice view of the recreation ground if you are on that side of the building,

The hotel is new and clean, but room is tiny. I would stay again when I need a cheap, clean place to sleep and be somewhat close to the MRT. Neighborhood is Geylang, so the hotel can't charge more than it does. One of the cleaner and newer hotels in this low income area of Singapore. If you can handle the 3rd world atmosphere of Geylang, this is one of the better places to stay and save some money while in Singapore. Nevertheless, the neighborhood seemed safe during my stay and the hotel is clean.

Great little stepping stone in the big city”

+ Small but functional rooms with best sunblinds, also quiet enough depending on the upbringing of other guests ;) - For a Hollywood hotel suprisingly only 1 moviechannnel? Used to all of Asia having multiple and after a day on the town a movie to fall asleep with is nice -- The elevator ping needs to be turned down in volume, you can hear that at the other end of the hall....so not for light sleepers!

Small room in an INTERESTING area.”

Polite and helpful staff. The room was very small but this is typical for Singapore. Could also be noisy at times due to poor sound insulation. Internet was good. The area is lively with an assortment of adult entertainment venues typical of Geylang. The area was not off putting or unsafe and there were lots of good places to eat. A rather long walk to the nearest MRT station.

comfortable hotel”

Had a comfortable stay at 81 premier hollywood, rooms are very small but comfortable and there is a huge (for the size of the room) TV. Bathroom is tiny with very limited space. wifi connection was very good. location is close to many restaurants and a 10 minute walk to kallang MRT station.

Very good hotel ”

I come to Singapore at least 5 times a year. Have stayed in 5 and 4 star hotels. But this time I stayed at this hotel. I was surprised to see the excellent service and cleaness. And the staff was the best of people you can have especially Mr. ken was extremely helpful and friendly. I will recommend to anybody and will be back. Thank you. Value for money.

Frequent Stayer”

Always been booking this hotel whenever I crave for food in Geylang and had a night of stayover with my partner aftermath. Love this place because of the personal wifi connection and smart tv in the room. The bed is slighty different with other Hotel 81 as it's really more comfortable and they use cotton pillowcases instead of the disposable ones (like other Hotel 81 are using disposable pillowcases which are really warm and uncomfortable to sleep in).

Pros: Value for money Great location, many good restaurants nearby, especially at night Staff are very polite and helpful Cons: You can hear people talking at the corridor so if you need a quiet place then this might not a good choice for you. Overall, this is a great hotel and I will stay here again if I going to SG in the future.

Nice, clean hotel with great staff”

After day one, the staff moved us to the 8th floor when rooms became available. While the rooms are small, this hotel is very clean as other reviews have noted. While it is not in the city center, it is near a great local restaurant street and the bay is a short taxi ride away. Inexpensive and clean with great, friendly service. I also witnessed the staff handle a loud altercation between a couple and they handled it with amazing professionalism after receiving complaints.

My friend and I didn't know Geylang was known as the red light district 🙈 Room is quite small but ok for short stays. Shower water temperature was defective, it was either too hot or too cold. No breakfast offered in the hotel. Overall, I would rate the hotel with 3 out of 5 stars.

nice hotel”

i have been staying in this hotel each time when i visit spore. i find the hotel is very comfortable. thgh it is located at the red light area but is safer than the red light area. thgh at nite is noisy. it is not as noisy as wat it is written in d review. most of time it is very quiet at nite. even if it is noisy. d noise is only for a short while.

Good value, great location”

Nicer version of the many Hotel 81 in Singapore. Also better than some of the other budget chains I have stayed in. The o ly downside was there was.not a MRT station very close by but there was.one about a 15 minute walk away.

budget hotel if dont mind the neighborhood”

three friends had already warn me about this red light district issue but since we believe that the govt ruled it better we decided to stay forward. and yes my bet was right. we had no worries at all for the neighborhood as it always gave a clear information which one is who. location is the best. many resto and hawkers nearby. my trip with two 10-11 kids was all happy. thx 81. sure i will stay here again.
